Fighting for Alexa was suspenseful and super hot! I couldn't read it fast enough!
The storyline kept me interested from beginning to end. There wasn't a single spot where I was bored or wished things would move faster, it had a great flow. Jennifer Ann did an outstanding job with her characters! Alexa is a strong willed, confident girl who stands up for what she believes in and Michael was the perfect match for her. He is charming and protective and oh so yummy! You will not be disappointed in him...one bit!
Alexa is a beautiful, young attorney who has set out in life to prove herself. How best to do that than to take on a case where the defendant, in prison for murder, has been wrongfully accused? But she hits a road bump when they meet because the attraction is off the charts. Falling for him could ruin her career, but not exploring what is there could mean missing out on the love of her life.
Michael is in prison for a murder he didn't commit and without the support of his motorcycle club, the chances of him getting out of prison anytime soon are slim. But when he meets his new attorney, he'd rather stay in prison than have her in danger trying to get him free.
Together they work to find the key that will break Michael free so they can give this new love the chance it deserves!

I really enjoyed Alexa, she was a tough as nails character that didn't take crap from anyone and as you learn her story, you know why. She's got big ole brass balls but deep inside she's looking for love and acceptance, like the rest of us. Michael was a beautiful badass with a heart of gold for his baby girl. He would do anything to protect her from the moment she walked into that prison. They were like magnets, perfect and right for each other from the moment they met and the powerful pull was something neither could deny. Tatum, Jack, Phoebe and Jace were also great characters that added a necessary extra element. Being that this was my first book by Ms. Ann, I'll be checking out Jace's story next! Great read!

Alexa is a attorney and is meeting with a alleged murderer named Michael a biker, at first glance there drawn to each other. Michael has secrets and is afraid to tell Alexa because he doesn't want her to get hurt. Why does Alexa wanna help Michael so bad? What all is Michael hiding? Who can they both trust? The chemistry between Michael and Alexa is so hot it will make ya blush. Can I just start off by saying that Jennifer Ann is an extraordinarily talented writer that has full captivated my heart, first with Fighting for Phoebe, and now with Fighting for Alexa, the second book in the Fallen Heroes standalone series!
This story was both similar and yet completely different from Fighting for Phoebe, the first book in this amazing standalone series. The storyline of this book instantly captured my attention and held on until the end. This book took me less than a day to read and once I started, I couldn’t stop until I finished! Once again I made the mistake of starting a story late at night, but I can’t say that I regret the lack of sleep I endured the next day when I tried to stay focused in class and at work.
Readers are first introduced to Alexa as an 11 year old and you can instantly feel the fear radiating from her frightful words on the page. When we meet her as an adult, she has blossomed into one strong woman, a woman she never expected to become. Instantly I formed a deep connection with Alexa and commanded her for her extraordinary fight in life. Over the years she has fought tooth and nail to get where she is today and no one will ever take her strength away again. She was truly one of the most inspirational characters I have read in a long time and I couldn’t help but love her strength! If you like Alexa, then there is no way you couldn’t fall for her heading man Michael, a man trapped behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit. Their chemistry is undeniable and will make you believe that two lost souls can come together and form a connection that neither one of the ever anticipated.
I absolutely fell in love with yet another amazing story from Jennifer Ann. Since this is a standalone series, you do not need to read Fighting for Phoebe in order to read Fighting for Alexa because they deal with two completely different storylines and two completely different couples. However, I strongly recommend checking them out because they are both romantic suspense stories that will leave you craving for more. I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next! Oh please let it be another Fallen Heroes story! PLEASE!

I liked this one. Michael was interesting and so was Alexa. I believed the characters, if not all of the situations they found themselves in. The scenes in the jail were not totally realistic or believable, but they were really hot and definitely combined the forbidden with the idea of getting caught as a real possibility.
Basically, I liked the writing, the characters and the pacing enough to be willing to suspend disbelief. I did think the last part of the book was a little long, I liked the forbidden part better than the last of the book...but that said, I still liked it overall.
This was my first book by this author, but she is definitely someone I am going to keep an eye out for in the future. I enjoyed this, and am looking forward to her next.

I really enjoyed this book! Not only was this well-written, but I immediately fell in love with the characters. Once I started this, I didn't want to put it down. I was hooked from first few pages.
The author did a great job pulling out the feels for me. This story has action, it has suspense, and it's full of steamy romance!
The insta-attraction between Alexa and Michael was super hot - I swear I could see the sparks fly.
Alexa is a strong & sassy heroine. I couldn't help but love her. She's a badass and makes me wish she was a friend of mine.
Michael Harrison is a sexy as hell hero. An ex-marine who starts out in prison for murder, with Alexa as his lawyer. He is protective, he is loving, and he's the perfect alpha. HOT!
This is a fast-paced read that kept me on the edge of my seat and highly entertained - absolutely loved it!

I have to say I enjoyed Alexa and Michael's story.
We first meet Alexa as a child and out in a situation that no child should be in. But she comes out above and stronger as an adult; where she meets Michael.

Great read filled with suspense and turns at every page flip! Add in some hot scenes, and I could not put this down! Alexa is a girl who rose above her crappy upbringing. She went through the military and then became a lawyer. And she is one tough, feisty chick! Michael also comes from a rough upbringing. He is in jail, accused of killing a man in an MC club. He's innocent, but it's going to take someone with guts to stand up to the mess he is in. When Alexa walks in to represent him, he immediately tries to push her away. Alexa stands up to him an fights to set things right. Definitely a book you want to read!

Alexa is fresh off a stint in the Army and is now an attorney. She works for a company that advocates for client rights and digging into cases most pushed aside once the criminal has been convicted. She has reasons why she really wants the current case she's working. It has very personal ties but what she wasn't expecting was her client to be off the charts sexy.
Michael is a Marine. He enters into a MC for guys who did tours in the military and thinks it's all kosher. Until he sees things that are truly against everything he believes. Yep a guy in an MC with a conscience. In his attempt to right this wrong he's sent to prison. He was never expecting a girl like Alexa to come in and fight for him. In fact he hated her at first. Will she be his salvation?
I hated rating this book so low. Jennifer Ann's previous books have been excellent. There was a few situations in that book that just kind of sat wrong to me. I mean who am I to judge imaginary characters but yep it bothered me. I like that the book has a mystery to it and it's not all sex and longing glances. I hope others truly enjoy this book.

Fighting for Alexa is totally addictive! It's a sexy angsty, soulful, and gripping read, definitely one not to miss. Michael is a beautiful badass hero and Alexa is the confident and bold heroine - together, they are all kinds of perfect. Jennifer Ann's writing is smooth and flows effortlessly from scene to scene. The characters will pull you in with their sizzling chemistry, the riveting plot will keep you on the edge of your seat and gasping for more. Do yourself a favor and snap up this suspenseful romantic read ASAP!

I'm a huge fan of Jennifer's, she never disappoints with her books and this one didn't either. I love a book with strong female characters. That's exactly what I got with our main female character Alexa. She's independent, fierce, loyal, stubborn but she also has a vulnerable side. There's also her best friend Tatum I'm really hoping she gets her own book. Their friendship is what every woman strives to have with their best friend. Behind every strong woman is a man that supports her and that would be Michael our main male character. Their scenes together make you fall hard for this couple. They would give each other the moon and stars if asked and their chemistry is whew off the charts hot!!.
With this book you get much more than just a love story, it's an action packed twisted joy ride that you won't want to get off of. The twist will keep you on the edge of your seat and the writing will pull you in from the first page. I would love to read another book with this couple because I need more of these two.

Fighting for Alexa by Jennifer Ann has some very “larger than life” characters who take the stage and keep readers interested.
Alexa Darrington is representing alleged murderer, Michael Harrison. He’s in for a murder that he didn’t commit. No one believes he is innocent except for Alexa and she’s tenacious enough not to let Michael have her reassigned. Michael doesn’t want her help because he knows the bad guys, will come after her. But these two are connected, in ways no one could have predicted. Turns out Alexa didn’t have a really good life growing up and she knows all about the bad guys. Besides, Alexa is the type of woman to back down. She’s feisty, smart, and all about justice.
There was a reference to Michael Jackson, that I didn’t care for in the story and the relationship between the two main characters happened a little too fast, in my opinion, but other than that, it was a good read. Fighting for Alexa has plenty of heat that will appear to readers and really enjoyed Alexa and Michael. Overall, a good read. 3.5 Stars!

So I just recently discovered the Fallen Heroes series from Jennifer Ann but I am so glad I did!! I ended up devouring both books in less than 48 hours. And while I really enjoyed the first book, I LOVED the second installment in the series, Fighting for Alexa.
Here's the deal. Michael is currently in jail - for murder - but he is innocent. Alexa is the lawyer fighting to free him. Right from the first interaction, these two share an intense attraction for one another. Holy. Freaking. Hotness.
There was seriously so much going on in this book. All of their secrets and jaw dropping scenes kept me on the edge of my favorite reading chair. They had a lot of obstacles to over come on their way of finding happiness together and at times the drama was a little over the top but I didn't care - it was exciting and arousing. Michael and Alexa gave me an entertaining as hell ride!
Fighting for Alexa is a fun and suspenseful book that I would absolutely recommend you check out. It can be read as a standalone but I would suggest reading that book as well because it's a great introduction to this group of characters. So go now, one-click these books today!

Fighting for Alexa was my first book from Jennifer Ann. I enjoyed meeting these characters the pace of it but didn’t always agree with-or understand-the choices that were made so I had a hard time reconciling some of that.
Michael had me from the start. A bad boy with a conscience? Yes, please. He was hot and sexy and I definitely liked that.
Alexa was a tougher nut for me to deal with, in all honesty. I sympathized with her but I never felt like I fully connected to her like I wanted to. She had her own motives for handling things, which I respected.
I loved the two of them together. I thought their chemistry was good, their relationship believable. It was individually that I had some issues.
Overall, I liked the book. It was fast paced and had just enough action in it for my liking. I truly did like the main characters together and enjoyed their interactions with the secondary characters. I would try this author again.

Wow!
Another great read by Jennifer Ann. Michael and Alexa are both trying to get revenge on the same person. Can they use each other to accomplish this goal...or do they both go their own way about it? Their chemistry is HOT... the sex is HOT... this book was HOT!

Fighting for Alexa is an exciting story, filled with suspense and twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. The characters Alexa and Michael were well developed and strong willed. They were so passionate for eachother. This was a great story.

This was a pretty good book. I enjoyed the storyline and the mystery and suspense through the end of the book. The sex scenes were really hot, and weren't over the top. However, it did seem like the first half of the book was Michael and Alexa hooking up every chance they got with maybe a few things going on to tie it together. The last half the book was pretty absent of that. Parts of the book were somewhat unbelievable, not nothing that screamed to me that it couldn't happen or made me want to stop reading. This is the first book I've read by this author, but I'd gladly give her other books a try.

I was fortunate to be gifted a copy of Fighting For Alexa. It certainly won't be my last. I do wish I'd read the other two in this series first, just because it appears some old characters made an appearance, but it's not a must to do so. So, it's a little bit dark, but definitely not graphic, so don't be put off by that. A strong heroine, even if she is a little ditzy. Thank Jennifer, for the opportunity to read this, I will certainly be reading more of your work.

The chemistry between Michael and Alexa is sizzling from their very first encounter. I found myself lost in the book and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I loved watching the story line and the characters develop. It is a story full of love, suspense, beginning again. It does end HEA and no cliffhangers. I definitely recommend this book!

February 20, 2017This one is a DNF for me, which is rare. I wanted to like this one. I really did, but too much of the situation was unrealistic. At around 20%, I found myself agitated, but I gave it to 40% before I gave up. I like Alexa and Michael. They seem like pretty good characters. However, I'm not one for insta-lust/love/obsession. It just seemed a little too much.
Maybe I'll give it a go another time, but for now, this is just not working for me. I am choosing not to give this book a rating, as I did not finish it, and it seems unfair to do so.

Fighting for Alexa is the second book in Author Jennifer Ann's Fallen Heroes series and is every bit as good as book 1, however I don't think it's necessary to read Fighting for Phoebe before reading Fighting for Alexa. Jennifer's writing is very smooth and flows nicely from one part of the story to the next. I work in the legal field so I really enjoyed this one as the heroine is an attorney. Alexa is one awesome heroine that I'm sure you will love!
