When a convenience store is robbed and the young and beautiful clerk, 19 year old Cindy Porter, is abducted, residents on both sides of the Washington and Idaho state line fear the worst, because young women have been disappearing for years without a trace. Residents fear that a serial killer or killers are in their midst, and local law enforcement has been working diligently to solve the cases, but to no avail. The FBI had been assisting with the effort until, with mounting pressure from the residents in both states; they realize that they need to bring in their Special Tactics Team, led by Commander Chad Turner. He and his team are only deployed to seek out and bring in the most lethal predators.
In my series of children's books 'Johnny's Adventure', many of these adventures were my own growing up, on both the desert and in beautiful Fort Bragg, California. I have always loved to explore the world around me, both on foot and on horseback. My love of animals both wild and domesticated and my appreciation of the beauty of the natural world will pull you into these stories. Being very much a tomboy, I loved playing with horned toads and reptiles of any kind. Living in the country we had some very unusual pets, including a monkey. As an adult I shared my love of animals and reptiles with my children.• I also taught basic horsemanship, Western and English equitation. Students learned how to groom and tack up their own horses. Safety on and around horses was paramount in my teaching. My students ranged in age from 4 ½ years to adults. I developed individual lesson plans to suit the needs of each rider. One of my many goals was making sure that after each lesson, students left the ranch with an elevated sense of self worth. In 2001 I was awarded the Trainers Award for the Winter Series by Rock-N-Horse Ranch. The award was based on the total of points that students accumulated from all their ribbons at the end of the season. From 2000-2001 I taught some of the home schooled children from New Jerusalem Charter School riding lessons for their physical education. I also trailered out ponies to off-site birthday parties. I have over 35 years of experience owning my own horses. I’ve shown both English and Western, and I have much experience with gymkhana (games on horseback). Some of my vast knowledge about horses is shared in 'The Magic Wishbone'. In this story you will learn things about horses that you most likely didn't know before. I'm looking forward to writing more stories about horses and sharing my knowledge with my readers.
These stories are written through the magical lenses of a child's eyes. My love for beautiful Fort Bragg and Noyo Harbor vividly comes alive in these stories. Blessed are those who live there today.
The dialogue was just to far away from how real people converse. Average characters without much thought behind them. No original thinking went into this story. Zero suspense, typical setting and characters...Very vanilla as these stories go. The title was the best part and the only reason I read this typical, boring book. Let's put a little effort into it next time...GEES!!
