About the author

I spend my days working, my evenings with my two wonderful kids, and my nights are when the characters in my head are given free reign. The tagline for Phoenix Bar, "Beauty After the Burn", holds special meaning for me and really helped to give birth to the story. Like Phoenix, I've had to rebuild my life from the ashes. It's been a long journey with a roller coaster of emotions and stresses, but I can truly say where my life is now is more beautiful than where it was

Loved this anthology!

Oh, my, wow!!! I absolutely freaking loved this! So many talented authors to get sneak peeks from. I have already read maybe 3 of the books before opening this one, now I can say I have read 5. Yep, before evening finishing this book I was grabbing the complete books so I could read what happened after the taste I got in here. I have plans to read all of the books, but now I have a few new series I need to finish. Can't read just one book from here and not need the others related to it.

Brilliant.

I absolutely loved this, the only thing wrong is I now need to buy all the books that are featured. I have found some new authors as well.
I love the concept of this, I did get a bit frustrated as a couple of them stop before I want them to, but it is a good way of finding out if you will enjoy books by authors you have never read.

Good way to introduce new authors to me

It was good idea to read this book. I started new stories from authors I probably would not have chosen.

I was confused when I started reading because I thought it was going to be short stories for each author and instead it was just parts (chapters) of each book that author featured. So it was like a cliffhanger from each author and I hate cliffhangers. Once I got past that I was a little disappointed there was more to read, I felt like it wasn't enough to get me interested in each of the authors. I wish there was more to know if I truly like the writing style. So overall, if I hadn't read this I wouldn't be missing out. I would say overall 3 stars for the length, but some of the authors were intriguing so I would say 3-5 stars for the stories.

This book is a collection of teasers written by a variety of wonderful MC authors!!!
Whether you are new or well known to the MC genre... I fully recommend you all to read this book... or you may miss out on some awesome reads!!!
I absolutely loved every sample in it... and have managed to discovered some new authors of which I now intend to indulge in!!!

Great way to find new authors

The teasers from each author are a great was to discover new authors and snippets from fave authors. I highly recommend this anthology for just that reason. Loved my favorites, Bink Cummings, Chelsea Cameron and I need the rest of Needa Warrant's Somebody's Ol' Lady.
