NO PLACE FOR MARRIAGE by Jaden Skye
Bella working as an aide for Tryon, found his wheelchair empty. The wife, calls Olivia and Wayne, PI’s to help, find out what happened and clear her name. Florida is well know for the black widow, so it’s probably and open and shut case. Megan was a child bride, to age of Tryon. Who might be in the picture wanting more of the inheritance. The question was why now. Are there any clues, as they dig into the backgrounds, and Olivia won’t stop till her last thought is connected.I love her books, the flow of the story and characters, it’s as though you are observing how they work. Readers can read alone or as part of the series. Hopeful we won’t have long till the next book comes out. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

It was not a bad series overall. Seeing Olivia's life taking an unexpected turn due to tragic circumstances in the first novel enabled her to discover skills to become a private investigator. In this story she teams up with a former police detective (who was part of the original case involving the murder of her fiancé Todd) named Wayne who joins her private investigation firm and they discover they make a great team. While called upon to investigate a case regarding the mysterious death of Tyron Barr, a rich, old tycoon confined to a wheelchair who is found dead at the bottom of his staircase, his stunning 32 year old wife Megan is immediately suspect. She protests her innocence and calls Olivia and Wayne in to prove it.
In this case, there was a lot of tension and accusations to go around regarding how he died and who may be responsible, making it too complex to merely be an open and shut case. Regarding his wealthy estate, there is no shortage of suspects in this whodunit case who stand to benefit from his death. The questions are, was it just a tragic accident or an actual murder? Can Olivia and Wayne get to the truth? You'll have to read to find out.
I like that it was a short read with a good flow to it with likable characters. Recommended.

Olivia and Wayne continue their PI business. A wealthy wheelchair bound man, Tyron, is found dead at the bottom of the deck stairs. His current wife, Megan, hires Olivia and Wayne to find out the truth as to the death of her husband. The author takes you through the often painstaking process of investigating a death. Is it an accident or murder. A surprising end to the novel. This is a great series if you like PI stories. Highly recommend this author.
