Does this count as a reread if I've read the original fanfiction verison, this edition here, after I'd read the rewritten for publication verison?
I am in the odd situation wherein I rated 'Chasing Stars' 4.75 stars and find myself rating the Supergirl verison 3.55 stars.
I like close as possible equal partner stories. SuperCat stories are always going to cause me issues because of three things: 1) age difference (people 40 something & people 20 something can, depending on the people, something like equal partners type situation but need right mix - I just came back from a family thanksgiving gathering wherein people were commenting on the great age difference of one of the couple's there and here we are talking 24 year old woman and 29 year old man); 2) boss-employee relationship (that almost never works for me); 3) Cat's strong personality matched up with Kara's super timid personality creating a third tier of mismatch.
Right, so. Read this one.
