Sex-Spies-Stalkers-Stars
Three incredible hours was all it took to form a bond that refuses to be broken.

Saying goodbye after Valentine Roulette had crushed them both, but Ryder Helms is a realist. He knows his CIA covert career will never allow him to be with a superstar like Khloe Monroe. Deep undercover in Russia, Ryder has done unspeakable things to prove his loyalty to the Volkov Bratva. When faced with a morality test no man should have to take, he’s forced to burn years of undercover work, earning himself very powerful and dangerous enemies who will stop at nothing to exact their revenge.

Now an A-list Hollywood actress, Khloe discovers that with fame comes danger. When she is uncertain whom she can trust, she turns to her friends, Chase and Jaxson, for help. She didn’t expect them to bring in an experienced bodyguard. A dominant who had the power to command her body, and crush her heart.

Discovering Khloe was in danger is all it takes to bring Ryder to her side, but was his presence putting her at even more risk? It terrifies him to think of what the Volkovs would do if they got their hands on the actress who had stolen his heart.

He knew one thing for certain. No one got to hurt Khloe Monroe but himself.

Just ok

Khloe is a famous actress with a stalker. Ryder is an agent who's been working undercover until that was recently blown. Three months ago they had a fabulous three hours at the BDSM club Black Light then he ghosted her. Now he's back to protect her and find the stalker.

Their attraction is hot but I have a problem with both characters. She is a successful actress who has become a door mat for her agent and publicist and lets them push her around. She'll tell them no then go along anyway. His behavior when they're on set is unacceptable. I get that he's a Dom but his actions humiliate her in front of people she works with. They disrupt filming and a hard spanking and large butt plug make things really uncomfortable for her while she's working. He also exposes her to being photographed when she's been tossed over his shoulder. Those aren't protective acts.

I also wasn't a fan of the ending which is framed to start a new series instead of wrapping up their story. Yes, they're together but you know they'll have danger ahead. This just wasn't as good as other books in this series.

Hot drama

I loved all the hotness and the drama of this book in the series. I became wrapped up in Khloe and Ryder in Roulette so I was happy to see more of their story. To get a true feel for their connection and Ryder's dominance, read Roulette first. But you can absolutely enjoy this book if you choose not to. The energy these two share is powerful and you can feel that in and out of the bedroom or club. I love that I could feel all the different dynamics of Khloe's emotions and reactions. Can't wait for more from Black Light!

Suspense, thrills, tension, an A-list Hollywood actress in danger.....and Ryder Helms..... Phew!! This guy is seriously hot in every way. Alpha, dominant, sadist but a caring protector who won't let anyone stand in his way where Khloe's safety is concerned. These two gave us some toe curling, thigh clenching steamy hot bdsm scenes amongst the drama, I was glued to the pages.

This was a fabulous romantic suspense story, but one that also dealt very sensitively and realistically with some issues around Khloe and the pressures fame brings to be a beautiful but "thin" star. My heart broke a little bit for her and her struggles with anorexia and her publicity team, but Ryder was just what she needed to save her not only from the stalker but from herself. She was such a beautiful, caring character too, I really liked her. I got hooked on her and (especially) Ryder in the Valentine Roulette anthology. The story of their initial meeting was one of my favourites and I couldn't wait to read more about this hot couple who had so much chemistry. They deserved happiness together despite their very different realities.

That epilogue too!! Aarrghh!!! This book doesnt end on a cliffhanger, but hints at what is to come. I was very excited to discover that there will be more from the characters in this book in a spin-off series to Blacklight - I hope it comes soon as I absolutely loved this couple. Can someone point me towards a Ryder please ;-)

5 steamy, sexy, yes I'll submit, (even though I'd be slightly afraid) stars

Ryder and Khloe meet and spend one night together at Black Light! He is involved in some very dangerous work and she is a Hollywood actress. THey can never be together, right? Even after several months of being apart, neither can forget about each other. Both throw themselves into their work trying to forget each other but things have a way of getting them back together. When Khloe picks up a stalker, Ryder is the one who is assigned to help protect her. His own past is also catching up with him. Two strong willed persons who need each other to be complete but who also need to take care of the danger that is getting closer to them both. Drama, intrigue, smoking hot sex scenes and two people who the reader finds themselves cheering for!! I have loved every book in this series and can't wait for more to come!

The Ultimate Dom finds his perfect sub

This is the story of two people who's lives were not mean to tangle, yet neither can forget the other.. Ryder is now on the "My Favorite Book Boyfriend List" and not just as my current, but as my forever.
I love this book so much. Ryder and Khloe bring out a side to each other that they have never shared with anyone before. With Ryder, Khloe learns how strong she is. With Khloe Ryder finds a gentle possessiveness that he is new to him. But don't let that fool you because he is all Dom all the time. Livia Grant has woven a story full of intrigue, danger and glamor, full to the brim with the white hot passion unique to these two. And as a bonus, Jaxson, Chase and Emma are back. Thank you Livia for this extraordinary book.

I was so happy that Khloe and Ryder got their own story. They are my favorite couple from Valentine Roulette. This story will have you staying up until all hours of the night to finish it. It's got everything you need in a book. Action, romance, intrigue, adventure and lots and lots of hotness! I love these two so much!

A match made at Blacklight.
Finally we get to know more about Khloe and Ryder from Valentine Roulette. They had only three hours together at Blacklight. But in that short time it became clear that they were the perfect fit. And then Ryder disappeared.
As it turns out they both are still thinking of the other. Well, you might call it obsessing!
But, circumstances, you know! They could never be together. No way!

And then "circumstances" change and Ryder is suddenly back.
When he and Khloe meet again, their chemistry is through the roof. They have a few days of delicious, luscious, glorious sex but the outside threats make it seem impossible for them to stay together.
They even meet old friends at Blacklight. If you remember that crowd, you can imagine the hotness-level of that night !!

But because of the threat level to Ryder, and if he stays with her, also to Khloe, he is again forced to leave. They are agreeing on a tentative compromise for their relationship when circumstances change once again.

And then life/Ms Grant throws them a doozy of a curveball !!
And now I'm supposed to wait until next year to find out how the story goes on !? Argh!!

Continuation of a couple from Black Light Valentine Roulette. More fully developed character and stories than the short club segments in roulette books.

Will start a spin off Black Light Ops in 2021

Here's what Ryder does to a woman with a mental health condition:

1) Punishes her without permission and with no talk of safe words (he's supposed to be a well-respected dom and no well-respected dom would do either);

2) Humiliates her by doing it in a professional setting, with the full knowledge of her co-workers (in the contemporary U.S., there's not enough disbelief to suspend in the world for these scenarios; anyone would call the police -- and just once in these books I wish someone would);

3) Sends her mixed signals by running hot and cold, so that she's understandably very confused by how he really feels about her; and

4) Doms her eating disorder (all I can say is "don't try this at home;" it will not work; and the narrative's saying it does is a slap in the face to all who have this illness). He can't even bother to get Khloe therapy...

There's also the fact that Ms. Grant has absolutely no clue about what happens on a film set (no director would ever, EVER, allow a bodyguard to dictate when an actress does or does not return to the set -- the film would go too far over budget and SAG-AFTRA legislates breaks for actors). In addition, the epilogue was ridiculous given that none of it came to pass.

But the worst aspect was the book's offensive treatment of disability in its depiction of Peter, who is immediately suspect because he's "different" ("not playing with a full deck" and "any idiot" are only two of the lovely abled slurs the characters use) and who is portrayed as borderline dangerous (disabled people are statistically more likely to be victims of crime than perpetuate them).

One star, for abelism and misogyny.

Wish I Skipped The Epilogue

Black Light Rescued

We first meet Ryder Helms and Khloe Monroe in Black Light Roulette. After reading about their three hours together I didn’t want their story to be over and fortunately, I was able to just skip to Book 6 in this series to continue reading about them. This is only the second book I’ve read from this author Book One Of The Black Light series being the first. The commonality of both of Ms. Grant’s heroines is that they don’t eat. At least in this book it is revealed that Khloe battled an eating disorder in her past. When kind or affectionate words tumble out of Ryder’s mouth it feels like a blessing. He’s in a deep undercover cia agent infiltrating the Russian mob for the last seven years and now he is back stateside. BTW..”drudging” up memories is incorrect..it’s “dredging”. Drudging is barely a word and it’s incorrect. Was not sure if I was happy or disappointed to see a cliffhanger. Almost wish I didn’t read the epilogue.

Holy Hotness!! What just happened?!? That book was so intense... *sigh* Ryder and Khloe's chemistry continues to be combustible. Off the chart sexy. But there is danger. Intense, edge of your seat, nail biting, danger. And so Ryder continues to be mysterious. He's hot. He's cold. Which just gives us some delicious angst to go along with all the sexiness. Khloe is confused and a mess from what is going on, but also strong. And there are all the other main Black Light characters who make an appearance. I stayed up all night to read this book. It ... Is... So.... Good! Five smokin' hot stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Wow!!! i love livia grant she is really good with words. she has a way of drawing you in and not letting go. In this book we meet back up with Ryder and Khloe and Ryder has to make a decision to blow his cover or do something he doesn't want to do. Khloe is going day to day trying to get over Ryder until he rides in on his shiny motorcycle and wisks her away from a stalker. The ? is who is this mysterious stalker and will they find him or her before they go too far. buy this story you wont be dissapointed. This does end with an Epilogure leaving you knowing there will be more with the characters that we all have found to love.

This book is part of the Black Light series, but don't worry if you haven't read any of the others, this provides you with a short prologue to familiarise yourself with the characters & where they are coming from. I loved this story, mostly because of Ryder. I loved that such a strong, dominant man in a violent career has such a capacity for tenderness and gentleness. Khloe was dealing with the demons that many women go through at the same time as having this external source of stress and this book dealt sympathetically with those. Worth a read.

Terrific Black Light Book

Oh my this is a terrific Black Light book that I have read for the second time. This is the sort of book that you will enjoy reading more than just once, I know that I enjoyed it just as much the second time as I did the first. It has a couple of twists in the main story and the Epilogue is not to be missed. It is very steamy and if you don't like steamy BDSM stories you should pass on this one, if you do like a good steamy BDSM story you will love this book.

After reading Valentine Roulette, I have waited for Khloe and Ryder's story. There is suspense, danger, a lot of action and a heart stopping rescue scene. But most of all there is this great chemistry between Khloe and Ryder. The intimate scenes nearly made my e-book reader melt. I can't even tell how much I love this book. I hope there will be many more books written by Miss Grant in this series.

Alright...so I struggled a bit with this book. I enjoyed it but I wanted to like Ryder more than I actually did. I start off thinking he was a jerk for not helping the poor girl in the house. Then it got worse as we read about how he was planning on leaving Khloe. Like I understood where he was coming from but it didn't make it easier to like him. I loved the story otherwise...just struggled with the hero a bit 😬 Overall I liked Khloe more than Ryder haha

Sixth Black Light book in the Black Light series. This was the most OMG, hold-your-breath, exciting read. It had action, adventure, drama, a stalker, bad Russians, humor and BDSM sex. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Khloe and Ryder, IMO. I read all the books in order and loved each and every one. Outstanding!

SPOILER ALERT: THIS IS RYDER AND KHLOE'S STORY CONTINUED FROM THE ANTHOLOGY, BLACK LIGHT: VALENTINE ROULETTE. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THAT BOOK, THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. IT'S HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU READ RYDER AND KHLOE'S STORY FROM VALENTINE ROULETTE BEFORE READING THIS BOOK.

Three hours. That's all it took for Ryder Helms and Khloe Monroe. They met at Black Light, the famous (or is it infamous?) Washington, D.C. BDSM club, on Valentine's night. Nothing's been the same since. The chemistry was off the charts. Could it be something more? Happily ever after? But things are never that simple. Ryder's a deep-cover CIA agent involved with the Volkovs, Russia's most brutal and lethal crime family. He was only in D.C. that night recovering from an assassination attempt. And Khloe? She's a world-famous actress, poised to finally make her dreams come true. She was at Black Light for completely different reasons. When Ryder pushes Khloe out of his life after their scene, she's shattered. But Ryder's not as unaffected as he pretends. While each tries to pick up the pieces and move on, events soon turn their worlds upside down. A kidnapping burns Ryder's career to the ground. He'll never be safe, not while any of the Volkovs are alive. And Khloe learns she has a stalker who's been after her for months. As Khloe's stalker gets bolder and more vicious, no one seems to be able to identify or stop him. When Chase, Jaxson, and Emma reach out to her, Khloe finally feels someone's taking her seriously. But unknown to Khloe, the triad has pulled Ryder into their plans. Fighting the attraction between them every step of the way, Ryder knows he's Khloe's best hope of surviving her stalker, if his past doesn't destroy them both instead. And Khloe's never forgiven Ryder for walking out on her. How can she trust him to protect her? The chemistry's still as white-hot and blazing as it was. But Ryder can't be anything but her protector. There's just too much Khloe doesn't know. And Khloe? She can't seem to move past Ryder's betrayal. Circumstances twist and turn. Everyone is suspect. How does an ex-CIA agent with a price on his head protect a famous Hollywood actress surrounded by paparazzi, frenzied fans, and a crazy stalker without anyone recognizing him? Can Khloe accept Ryder's help? More importantly, just how do Khloe and Ryder protect themselves from each other? It all comes down to trust, something in very short supply. Can either trust again? Do they even want to? One thing is certain. If either makes a wrong move, both of their worlds will implode and destroy everyone and everything around them.

This is an extraordinary series. With this sixth book, Livia Grant has exceeded all expectations. From the moment I started reading, I fell in love with Ryder and Khloe. Their story is truly heart-rending and emotionally charged. I laughed, cried, wanted to scream in frustration, and felt every moment of heartbreak, desperation, and terror, as well as hope, joy, wonder, and love between these two. I thought I knew who the stalker was. I was so wrong! I thought I knew how the story would end. Again, so very wrong! Ms. Grant has written not just a phenomenal love story. She's taken the components of a spy thriller, stalker mystery, a story of betrayal, and star-crossed lovers, and wrapped them together into one of the best stories I've read in a very long time. If I could give this book more than five stars, I'd do it! That's just how wonderful a storyteller Livia Grant is. This book is beyond outstanding! I give Black Light: Rescued my highest recommendation.

One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and BDSM sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author. She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

Livia returns us to the world of that exclusive club, Black Light. Ryder and Khloe are back, continuing their adventure from Valentine Roulette, and trying to figure out how they can fit together and meet each other's needs.

Ryder, our resident superspy, has managed to burn himself and had to leave his job in Russia in a hurry. That means that he's hanging around D.C. waiting to find out what to do next. He is working so hard at trying to not obsess over Khloe Munroe, but she has gotten under his skin. He finally goes to Black Light to talk to his friend about her, but Jaxson shows up instead, telling him that Khloe is in danger and she needs him.

Khloe, our beautiful and talented superstar, is fighting being broken, she's trying to forget Ryder and what he did to her on Valentine's Day, but it's impossible. She's exhausted and stressed, and then she finds out that she is being stalked, which nearly sends her over the edge. She calls Chase in desperation, looking for someone to help keep her safe. Chase tells Jaxson, who tells Ryder. When Ryder tells Jaxson he can't help, he ends up kicking himself, and the next thing we know, he's rushed in on a motorcycle and swept Khloe away from a crowd and right into a safe house.

I loved this story. It was good to see Ryder and Khloe again. I've been dying to get more of their story since Roulette, they really grabbed me then and didn't want to ever let go. There were parts of this story that really made me worry how Livia was going to make it work, but she pulled it through. The story was well-written and very gripping. There is a nice hook for further books to come, which is always nice, and I really liked. The sex is HOT, and the visit Black Light? Yeah, super hot and steamy. If you have liked anything that Livia has written, you should definitely jump on this one and get it read. Keep it and read it over and over again, it's definitely worth it.

I got an ARC, you got my honest and voluntary review.

This book was the 6th in the Black Light series. This book can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading Valentine Roulette first. During Valentine Roulette you meet Ryder and Khloe and get the background of their relationship.

I really enjoyed this book. I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. The author did such a good job at making Khloe real that I felt a connection with her. She brought out the real life struggles women have in life. I may not be an actress but I can relate to the feelings and actions of Khloe regarding her self image. The first few scenes with Ryder in Russia was so intense and kept my attention. I may have to look for some books along the lines of the mafia.

One of my favorite reviewers made a comment about this book not having as many intense BDSM scenes as she was expecting from a Black Light book. This is only my 6th book in the Black Light series so I don't really know what to expect. I do agree that I wish there were more intense BDSM scenes but I was so caught up in the story line I didn't realize there weren't many until thinking back. With that being said the scenes that were there were intense, hot and steamy. One of my favorite parts included Chase, Jax and Emma. You'll just have to read to know what I am talking about.

Luckily the next book with Ryder and Khloe will be coming out soon. I can't wait.

Khloe & Ryder met during Valentine Roulette & felt the instant attraction, but due to her being an actress & him undercover, he has to harden his heart & break hers to keep them both safe. Later, after a mission gone awry, Ryder now has to watch himself or he'll eat a bullet. At the same time, Khloe realizes the stalker that only a very few people are worried about is actually closer than any realize after finding personal photos, from her ordering drinks to running to being on a closed set during a film production, on her apartment's bathroom mirror with MINE written in her lipstick. After being contacted by the famous trio from Black Light (Chase, Emma, & Jaxson), she & Ryder are pulled together. Ryder tries to protect her from his stalker all while trying to lay low & not let the Volkov family find & put a bullet in him & anyone he cares about that's around him. While trying to fight their HOT attraction, Ryder tries to stay outta the lime-light & Khloe tries to keep him at arms length, as her protector only.. Will Ryder finally tell Khloe about his past & occupation? Will Khloe finally release him from the pain he caused her & give him her submission? This book kept me on the edge & not wanting to put it down. Keep up the awesome work & REALLY hope there will be more Roulette events in the future ;)

A good kinky read.

This book had suspense, kinky hot sex and romance. Without giving much away but I know some people get upset when they start a book and there is seen that they might not like it but there is 1 MMF scene but it is not with the main characters. I do enjoy stories with movie stars with non celebrity people. The actress is Chloe and the no celeb is Ryder a secret military type person . He is into heavy BDSM and she has maybe only been spanked by ex boyfriends a couple of times. Short synopsis is she is being stalked by some unknown person and he is there to protect her and find out who it is. How they originally met was in the book Black Light: Valentine Roulette (Black Light series book #3). You don't have to read it but it would definitely help with know ing their background and how they met. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because it took getting to about page 120 before they reconnected again. After getting to the epilogue I understand why. At the end of the book the author mentions the story with Ryder and his military background friends will continue in a spin-off series called Black Sky Ops (this current book is from 2017). But since I read this book in 2020, I am not sure if this spin off book was written or if it ended being called something different. But overall this book is worth reading.

If you loved Ryder and Khloe`s story in the Valentine Roulette book, this one will give you the afterwards. After their passionate night, they both went their own way, but each of them had lingering effects of the evening impacting their lives. Khloe is living her movie star life but there is stalker after her and she is scared. Ryder is in Russia working undercover within the most powerful mob family, the Volkov`s. One day he is called into a meeting and comes face to face with an American woman and her two daughters, which were kidnapped and will be killed. He will blow the cover he built for himself over a few years to save these people but at what price? He shows up at Blacklight hoping to have some news about Khloe. He then learns about the stalker and that she is in danger. He roars back into her life and will pick up where they left off. Can Khloe let herself go and trust him? As their story unfolds, the closer they get, the more intense their passion becomes. Until one day they both realize that they are doomed, their faith is sealed for different reasons. The story is passionate, intense, dramatic and scorching hot. This is an AMAZING SERIES and a MUST READ. I honestly reviewed a copy of this book.

This book is such a great read, i thoroughly enjoyed reading every word. It takes you on an emotional roller coaster of feelings from Khloe and Ryder.
These two beautiful people met on Valentines day for a space of three hours, and in that three hours a bond was formed that couldn't be broken, so much so that when they separated after that night feelings ran high and nothing could be forgotten.
Khloe and Ryder meet up again in dyer circumstances, and khloe immediately feels safe once more, the story has a few twists and leaves you on the edge of your seat. I thought i knew what was going to happen, but naaaa not even.
Every character in this story has wonderful personality and this wonderful author makes every character stand out on their own. Even though i havnt read any of the other books in this series (and im going to) three people are brought in to help with Khloes circumstances
I have deliberately chosen not to do to many spoilers because this book is so good, you just have to read it for yourself .

I voluntary read an advanced copy of this in return for an honest review

Rescued, a continuation of the match made at BLACK LIGHT, VALENTINE'S ROULETTE. Ryder and Khloe meet again!
Ryder is in a situation that could be dangerous for Khloe, but she needs him and he will do all he can to protect her.
Khloe is being stalked and when Ryder shows up to help her personal bodyguard Trevor to protect her, Ryder also picks up being her master again which really does help Khloe get into the right mind-set to do what is best for her and what she really desires. The sex and different scenes Ryder has with Khloe are really sexy and erotic, exactly what you would expect from their previous pairing at Black Light.
Poor Ryder has the Volkovs after him and the stalker is after Khloe, but what he wants is to make things work for himself with Khloe. All the suspense in this story pales in comparison to the connection Khloe and Ryder have.
I absolutely loved this book and will have to wait a bit to get the final story and true happily ever after I wish for..

This was one of the stories I wanted to read desperately after finishing Black Light Roulette. Livia Grant gives Khloe Monroe and Ryder Helms such electrical chemistry that they fast became favourites well before the end of the Roulette story. She continues that chemistry with perfection, giving Khloe and Ryder's story in Rescued a continuation of hot HOT sex, danger, and - and I'll continue this in a moment - that tender side of D/s relationships.
I found the way that Khloe's anorexia was handled throughout the book was not only tactful, but offered an insight into how people with eating disorders have to cope with even a simple meal. Not just that, but Jaxson's understanding of her condition was lovely.
I loved Ryder and Khloe's story, and would love to see more of them. I can't wait for more Black Light and I'm especially anticipating the new Black Sky Ops series <3
Highly recommended.

It’s rare that I rate a book with five stars...however this one gets that from me! This was a deeply entertaining and deeply moving book. Chapter 21 was the best chapter I have read in this entire series and it left me with a full blown cry! In fact, that is probably the reason this book gets my five stars! Livia Grant’s writing is fantastic, entertaining and heart wrenching at the same time. I also did something I rarely do and that was that I sought out Khloe and Ryder’s story sequel. So I skipped the rest if book 3 and went directly to this one! I will go back and continue reading where I left off but I couldn’t do so without rating this book... and rating it five- stars. Believe me when I say I am an avid reader and harsh judge of books! Read this one!! I look forward to reading other books written my Livia Grant, who overnight has become one of my new favorite authors!

"The thought of them discovering how important you are to me terrifies me."

Livia Grant bring back two of our Valentine Roulette favorites! Ryder the government operative and Klohe the Hollywood starlet.

Ryder and Klohe get paired up during the Valentine's Day Roulette event at Black Light and sparks fly. But because of the work that he does Ryder makes sure that it won't last more than that night.

Now months Ryder is back on assignment and is put in a position where he has to make a moral and ethical choice. Once his decision is made he can't go back. So now he must find a way to fill his time. When he finds out that Klohe is having a stalker problem Ryder knows he can't just stand by and bit help. Klohe and Ryder reconnect and try to work through the issues that keep them apart.

I love that we get to see more of Klohe and Ryder. I think they have an interesting dynamic. I love how the very real life issue of body image is dealt with during this book. Livia Grant hits a home run with this issue and the book as a whole! Totally worth your time!
