Timeless Ever After: An Anthology

Rate this book
Sweet. Sensual.
Dark.

Words which only scratch the surface of what lies between the pages of the Timeless Ever After Anthology.

Fifteen titillating novellas, each inspired by a beloved fairy tale, describing just what would happen if the originals weren’t so… pure. Tales not meant for the faint of heart. Where lusts are fulfilled, love is found, and sin lurks behind every corner. Tales not meant for children…

A big bad biker (Lil’ Red & the Big Bad Biker), an undercover operative (Ella Uncovered), and a lonely veterinarian (Raising the Wild) are made whole, just as family lies (Tangled in You), forbidden love (Hush), and sadistic stepmothers (Red as Blood), threaten to tear other lives apart. The spoiled prince (Emerald Runs Deep) and tenacious daddy’s girl (Satin & Sin), have a change of heart while an alien king stops at nothing to collect his due (Liquid Gold). One princess is rigorously tested (A Princess for Hans), one tortured by sleep (Upon A Dream), and another finds herself in a desperate battle for her warrior (Tala).

Gypsies (A Beautiful Dream), slaves (Frostbitten), broken vibrators (Sweeter Things) … Oh my!

Worlds are shattered, secrets uncovered, and lives irrevocably altered from one tale to the next, as each set of characters find their own happily ever after. Can fifteen different authors each replace your favorite fairy tales with one of their own?

Only once upon a time will tell…

All proceeds will benefit the non-profit charity Candace's Cause to further DIPG research.

Tiffany Carby

Author Tiffany Carby is a Kentucky native skilled in the art of storytelling. A journalist, columnist and blogger who now works in communications, she has a knack for narrative that keeps her story flowing.

Not all of her storytelling skills came from the classroom. Being born in Louisville and spending time in central and southeastern areas of the commonwealth, Carby developed a sharp ear for dialogue and an appreciation for the tales spun by friends and family from the South and Appalachia. As a Southerner, yes, she says “y’all,” drinks sweet tea and shares a love of college basketball with most of her fellow residents of the Bluegrass state.

Writing wasn’t just a goal, it was a destiny for Carby. She wrote her first book while in the fifth grade — a story about an alien with a one-of-a-kind name, Orangepeachrumple. Though it didn’t circulate farther than her parents, she was hooked. Though publishing many non-fiction works over the years, "She's a Tiger Lily" will be the debut of her fiction work and beginning of a series.

Carby resides near Lexington with her husband, curly-headed daughter, and bull-headed tabby cat.

15 authors come together for an amazing cause called Candace’s cause! They all came up with fairy tales with a twist and what i mean with a twist it’s a twist. There’s one about a girl named Rory that has a problem sleeping until she meets a handsome prince but not only that she meets a family member she never knew, Ella a kick behind cia that gets hired to protect a prince but there’s a big twist you don’t see coming, snow loses her mom than lose her dad has a horrible step mom but she meets her prince will she get her HEA! The next author writes about her character having terrible relationship so she turns to her b.o.b and she’s disappointed so she writes the company but what happens when she finds out that same man is her brothers boss, the next book by another author is about a young girl named eira taken from her family sold to a queen but she meets a prince that makes her feel. Emerald run deep is about a girl named Ilion taking care of her mother she has to sell her precious jewel but when she runs into Xander and he offers her an offer she can’t refuse. Lil red and big bad biker is about a girl running from a castle she runs into a guy named rogan in a cabin, tangled in you is about a girl named Rachelle finds out a secret but she also finds love. All these fairy tales had a spin I loved each and everyone of them.

I received this book as an ARC in return for honest review. I read Upon a Dream by Tiffany Carby! Rory was adopted by three older ladies from an orphanage and she’s been helping them ever since she graduated high school. One day she meets Finn who was a star football player at their high school. He went away for college but was home for a family event. He asks Rory on a date. The only problem is Raleigh also notices that Finn is home and sees him as reason he’s stuck where he is in life. Will
Rory and Finn become a couple? Can Raleigh and Finn get past their past? What happens when secrets are discovered! I loved this book so glad I got to read it!

This anthology is a re-telling of various fairy tales from Snow White, to Little Red Riding Hood to the Snow Queen. They are all written by different authors in different romance tropes/genres. I loved a lot of these stories, they hearken back to the original fairy tales, the ones where Cinderella's step-sisters cut off their heel or toe to fit into the shoe. Life isn't always sweetness and light and this anthology celebrates the struggles and sheds light on the joy that comes from overcoming those struggles. The proceeds from this anthology go to support a very worthy cause, thanks to the authors for their words and time. Great job everyone!!

I am a huge fan of MK Moore and I was excited to read her novella in this anthology. Her novella is a modern take on The Princess and The Pea. I really liked her characters Hans and Amelia. The path to romance isn’t always easy and these two faced adversity and came out on top. Ms. Moore’s take on this fairytale was fresh and exciting. I look forward to reading what she writes next.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

This collection of short stories pulls from the various fairy tales we were told as kids but with sweet and naughty twists.

From a girl who is so much like sleeping beauty she seeks medical help and in the end discovers so much more about herself to a Pocahontas retelling of a woman on a reservation who is a doctor treating a man who doesn’t necessarily play on the right side of the law to a dominate who is the Gypsy King.

This anthology has a little something for everyone. You look at some fairytales in a modern light. Not only are you reading some fun stories you will also be donating to a worthy cause. Now doesn’t that make you feel that much better while indulging?

“To the princess who now resides on her throne among the clouds”. A beautiful dedication. The proceeds from this anthology fully benefit Candace’s Cause. This foundation honors Candace, a little girl that suffered from DIPG which is a type of brain tumor. That information alone should be enough to convince you to buy this book!
This anthology is filled with some great stories most of which are more novella size which is good because it allows time for character development. Most of all.......fairytales! It’s fun to read about and imagine yourself in place of the princess!

I definitely enjoyed this anthology with all the fairy tales remixed. And the best part is that every book bought helps children with DIPG, a terrible form of cancer. A good book for a terrific cause!

I read Lil Red and The Big Bad Biker by Glenna Maynard...

OMG! This story was so captivating and interesting from the beginning until the end. I love how Glenna describes the medieval to mordern world.

As always with short stories, I wish there was more but this story didn't have any questions that were left unanswered.

This is a good compilation of each authors take on a timeless fairy tale, however this is not your sweet kids story here. Inside we hark back to the grittier and slightly darker spin on these tales. A well written book, this was a treat to read.

I decided to review the story "Sweeter Things" by Delaney Foster from the "Timeless Ever After" anthology. The entire book is comprised of classic fairy tales with a very modern and sexy twist.

"Sweeter Things" is one of THE sexiest, hottest, most buttercream-icing-on-a-chocolate-cake lip smacking good stories I've read in a long time. Delaney Foster has created a story that has humor to the email conversations between "G" and Gretchen. Gretchen's brother Hanson (guess what fairy tale this is from!) is close with his sister and she is the idea woman behind many of his ideas for work. She is a free spirited woman who speaks her mind and has been burned by this very trait. "G" provides her with the sexy relationship that she craves while making her feel like the desirable woman that she is.

You have to read the stories in this book and this story! Like I mentioned, it's one of the best I've read in quite awhile.

This is a great selection of fairy tales retold with a twist and the fact that it is for Candace's Cure a charity trying to find a cure for DIPG is a great bonus

These stories are by fifteen different authors and you get some really kickass stories and heroines in them I absolutely loved how most of these women took no prisoners I was introduced to some great new authors which is always a bonus when you buy an anthology.I have no hesitation in recommending this book it was a pleasure to read and some of the stories where short enough to use in the moments when you don't want to read a long book.

I was given an ARC copy of this book but this is a true and honest review

This anthology is a story from 15 different authors. They each have a short story in this book about fairytales. They are all very good fairytale stories that I actually enjoyed. I have also found a few authors that I plan on reading more from. In this book I'm positive you'll find something you enjoy since the stories are very different. This was a nice way to sample all of these authors writings in a shorter version. It's also quicker reads for when you dont have time to read a full length novel. This was a good book that was worth the read.
