A Commander never compromises.

The beautiful, headstrong human female contests me at every turn. She is the leader of her people and they love and respect her. As do I, though neither of us admit it. I burn with the desire to claim her as my treasure.

My people revere the Edicts above all else. Together we are stronger. I must make her see that in order for my people and hers to be one, for she and I to be one, she must eliminate the threat that could drive our entire world apart.

Gershom. He has finally gone too far and I will not tolerate his continued presence.

The humans who mate with the Zmaj have been exiled and the confrontation has come to a head. This female who tempts my Dragon will find out how possessive and dominant a Commander can be.

[for Series]
I’ve found a new crack obsession. My definition of crack is a crazy premise, an alien hero (different color and/or unusual appendages are a MUST), a tried and true romance formula and a fascinating ‘verse that captures my interest. Boy, has the Dragons of Tajss delivered. Does it have its flaws? Yep. Do I give a flying zemjla? Nope, not even a little bit.

A mishmash of different fantasy/sci-fi components that we’ve seen in shows from Dr. Who to Beetlejuice, this is a series that goes for some serious issues like xenophobia, racism, etc. and there’s danger everywhere, but it’s the details that tend to make me giggle. There’s a generation ship that is hurtling through space, minding its own business, when it is attacked by space pirates and crash lands on a planet called Tajss. Everything, and I mean everything, is designed to kill and/or eat you, not necessarily in that order. It’s hot AF so the human body is NOT designed to survive on this planet.

For example, there’s an ongoing debate between the Star Wars vs. Star Trek fans, Dr. Who references galore and a big worm-y thing that will kill you but all I could picture was this:
description

Basically, all the fixins for a cracky kind of sci-fi rom read. This will appeal to fans of the Ice Planet Barbarians-type of romances. If that’s your jam, get a taste of this Zmaj jelly. I think you’ll like it.

BOOK SPECIFIC Review:
Rosalind and Visidion. Now here’s where the story gets interesting. Rosalind has been the Alpha female keeping everyone alive and Visidion is indisputably the leader of the Tribe, so I was curious about how they would get together and the effect on the conflict. Finally, there’s a big turn in the ZmajPodge/Human First battle and it was necessary, because it was starting to stagnate. I did like that the bulk of this story happens off-world, since there’s some intrigue and battles that lent a different type of danger to the series. All in all, the overarching storyline is what keeps me coming back for more.

Although I liked the couple, they didn't click with me due to their very different styles of command. I am not sure that Rosalind's decision was right. We will probably find out in future books.

I also don't find these gladiator - arena battle scenarios interesting in most books, probably due to my inability to find female characters beating large male warriors believable, so I skimmed a lot of that. I suppose I have yet to see why all of that even happened for the story arc. Maybe to return with the copper sphere and a rumbling alien? So, overall, this was not as good as the previous books for me. But I am about to start on the next book because the whole series has been compelling and as good as 'Ice Planet Barbarians', but with more macho alien males.

Just plain bad :(

I had hoped this book would be good the lady general was a very intriguing character I was eager to read her story but my Lord the author killed it! The constant on going repetitive nonsense killed it for me when the book started out she and The commander I can not remember how to spell their names so I'm referring to them with their titles LoL when the lady general and commander strike out on their expedition they've already had their argument about a dozen times about how life should be in the city and in the tribe and they must fight over it at least 5 more times they walk a mile, argue, make out...walk a mile, argue, make out... over and over til I was about ready to close the book out!! But I was curious I was pretty sure I knew what was wrong with the lady general but I wanted to find out exactly what was causing her tremors because the epis they took supposedly changed their DNA and prolong their life so why would she still be suffering from a human illness?? But of course that's me trying to think way too much into this science fiction world this author has created but anyways she has a for of Cancer of course and so they figured she has to keep taking the epis because it has healing properties...there go again my way over thinking stuff because how on one hand can you say something extends their life but yet it doesn't completely heal all illnesses?? My opinion in the beginning she should have just set it up as as epis is basically a life saving drug and left it at that because that's basically what it is the lady general had already surpassed her expected time because of it but wasn't completely healed because she hasn't been taking it long enough so that makes much more sense to me LoL but anyways enough of my ranting..the book was just plain out exhausting with the on and on back and forth repeating of write and wrong, and why it should be this way or that way, I'm right your wrong yada yada ya!! I won't lie I skimmed through just about the entire part where they had been taken to the planet to fight in the arena I read enough to find out what finally happened to Grishom who I'm still baffled is still around because I swear in the first book I thought he died by one of the graboids but oh well he was a pain in the arse and I'm sure it's not the end of him im sure she will find a way to bring him back because of course that's her go to bad guy along with those pirates that somehow multiply like rats I keep thinking shouldn't they be dead by now?? Astarot and Lana knocked them out and left them with no supplies or weapons but they some how show up again with weapons and transportation so anyways no I don't recommend this one at all its way too dull

Visidion is the Commander of The Tribe grouping of Zmaj and Rosalind is the Lady-General of the humans. It seems that they have continuously butted heads as The Tribe only believes in The Edicts and the humans have fairness and honour at the centre of their beliefs. That is complicated by Visidion's need to claim her as his treasure. While Visidion does his best to stick to the Edicts and will not consider any kind of compromise, Rosalind will not compromise on her beliefs either - they are at an impasse. It all centres around her refusal to dispose of Gershom which has now resulted in the humans who have mated with the Zmaj being exiled from the dome which is a step too far - Visidion is determined that Rosalind will find out just how possessive the Commander and his dragon can be!

This was a very interesting book focussing on the relationship between the Commander and the Lady-General as well as a joint adventure they go on together. I enjoyed their sojourn into the world of another of the author's series as well as their escape back home from it. I was relieved that they had stopped pussyfooting around each other. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

amazing!

This one was so good! Rosalind and Visidion’s story is amazing! Two strong leaders with beyond noble hearts, steadfastly leading their people through the beginnings of their inevitable integration. The humans need the Zmaj and visa versa. From the beginning Rosalind sees it, but everyone else is a little slow to join her vision, but she knows she has to get through to Visidion to get the Zmaj on their side. So many perils face them, from the hostile environment, preditorial wildlife and plants, slaving space pirates making off with their people to sell off planet, to civil unrest among the humans some of whom think they can survive the harsh planet without the aid of the Zmaj. When a scouting mission unexpectedly turns into a rescue, Rosalind and Visidion are captured after they free the humans collected by the Zzlo pirates. They are transported off world and face MORE TRIALS along with a misfit batch of other new aliens as gladiators for the kings entertainment. As they fight in the ring they discover more still more threats against their people and know they have to get back to Tajss... really, this is a phenomenal series. Just read it! You’ll love Rosalind and Visidion too!

I'm not sure how it's possible, but Miranda Martin's incredible series, Red Planet Dragons of Tajss, just gets better and better. In this sixth book, the romance belongs to Visidion and Rosalind, The Tribe and the Zmaj of the city square off, and the fate of Gershom is decided. On top of all that the new resurgence of an old threat to the inhabitants of Tajss has Lady-General Rosalind, commander of the humans, and Visidion, son of the seer and leader of the Tribe, facing a conflict of leadership that threatens to eclipse their growing love. This book has it all: conflict, courage, betrayal, battles, sexy love scenes and serious strategy sessions - It's mind-blowing! Martin's expert world-building continues to define ands refine the parameters of life on Tajss, while her fast-paced plot and hot love story held my attention so well I spent the entire day reading cover-to-cover. And after all that, Martin has left the door wide open for more: more strong, sexy Zmaj, more beautiful, resourceful humans, more action and of course, more romance. My hope and admiration for the denizens of the Red Planet knows no bounds.

I enjoyed coming back to the series and was glad that Gershom finally got dealt with in the end. Most of the action this time around took place off world with the protagonist couple being kidnapped & solf off world & trained to become gladiators. It was entertaining, introduced a bunch of new characters to give a bit more variety and made the universe feel a little bigger by having events occur on another planet. Feel like the author is setting up for things to come too, with the main villain now gone there's a vacuum that some invaders will likely fill.

We're seen a lot of Rosalind in the previous books and now finally get to see the woman she is behind the stoic leader persona she exudes, pairing her up with the Zmaj Tribe leader who never really stood out in my mind, but by the end of it all I ended up liking him.

Overall full marks primarily for the change of scenery, downside is that it's written in first person perspective, which I don't particularly like as it's sometimes hard to keep track of who's perspective you're reading in.

the yes and the no

I do enjoy these books, even though it quick romance, there is a story going on with the characters each time that is interesting. Somethings are never in the story, these characters eat, sweat from the heat, and have sex, there is never a reality check such as blisters from a dessert world with 2 suns, bathing or even going to the bathroom. Sometimes even if it’s mentioned one or twice in a story it helps with building the character’s lives. I have enjoyed the stories enough that I shrugged those off. This book though gave me many Smh moments. There is a dispute between two human characters crashed landed on a planet and taken in by an indigenous character. One the humans starts a rebellion and kicks out have the human population and the indigenous who gave the a home and saved them. Not an unusual conflict but when the ejected group gets back in, the human tells the indigenous person they don’t get to decide what happens to the person that ejected them from the city. Really???? Yes it’s a story but the mentality just threw me totally off.

Lady Rosalind and Visodion

We finally get to see the two leaders Rosalind and Visodion. They are attracted to each other but fight it because they believe they need to put their people before themselves.
Gershom steps up and forces the human and Zmaj pairs along with any who don't agree with him out of the city. So they go to the Tribe for shelter.
Things happen and Rosalind and Visodion get taken away by the enemy to fight as gladiators on another planet. They are in a group with four other different aliens that was on the same spaceship with them. Rosalind and Visodion are partnered together as they fight in the arena. There are many different aliens there including another Zmaj.
What will happen will they escape? And what happens to Gershom and the people who stay in the city without the Zmaj's help? If you enjoy sci-fi romances, you will definitely enjoy this series!

It's lady General Rosalind's turn in spotlight!

Rosalind has been hiding a big secret from her former crew and their new allies. When all is revealed you realise why she had such impetus to have the city settles and Gershom dealt with.

But Gershom is not going to go quietly and the sneaky worm usurps Rosalind and takes the city! But Rosalind isn't down for the count yet.

Visidion is a leader amongst the Tribe, after all his father founded them. He must obey the edicts, but a certain fearsome Lady Rosalind, has him fighting the bijass and wanting to claim her. But they have very separate lives, how on Earth are they going to have a happily ever after?

There are several new characters from the stranded spaceship introduced, not all of them appear to be "nice" characters. I loved the strength that both the Zmaj and Human leaders show, neither want to damage their people but neither want to give each other up either!

Very action packed stories between the human & The Tribe leaders - Highly Recommend

For adults only (18+ years or older) Contains situations that may be triggers, or offensive, to some. This includes adult language, steamy intimate scenes, and violence. If any of these are triggers or offensive to you, then this may not be the book or series for you.

This is the story of the leaders from the humans and The Tribe. It was better than I expected because all of the previous references to Rosalind made her seem very stiff and logical, whereas the leader of the Tribe is rigid in thought but sometimes overly emotional and primarily guided by the visions of his father.

This is a very action packed story and it was interesting to see how the latest vision and message from his father comes about. It has a lot of things it in that set the series up for many future editions

I really enjoy this series. Rosalind has a tough job and I am so happy she got her own HEA. She is constantly trying to take care and protect everyone- human and Zmaj- in the City but who takes care of her? Visidion has his hands(and tail) full being the chieftain of the Tribe. Although several Zmaj have found their "treasure", Visidion isn't 100% sure it's true. Then comes Rosalind. Can these two leaders find love with each other or will their responsibilities keep them apart? Several new characters were introduced in this book as well as a possible new threat to Tajass. I can't wait for the next istallment.

So far this is my favorite

This book is about the leader for the dragons and humans. Rebecca is the comander of the ship witch crashed o. the planet she been tring to keep the humans s together but also wants the humane. to put away their racist attitudes and under stand that together is the only way. Of course Gresham the idiot who has support of the humans he makes promises to. They take a vote and gresham is elected. so the tribe and humans split they leave and go with. but to understand more you should read all the books in order. But I have also read her gladiator series and they come together for an instant but its not just romance but action. They are all on kindle unlimited which I love by the way.

best

In series so far. Both the lead characters are strong, and independent leaders. Loved how the author portrayed them as putting others ahead of their personal relationship.

Some parts could have used some explanation or addition. Such as why the other planets would want epi when it supposedly kills everyone that takes it if supply is cut off. With supply, demand issues it would be so costly only rich and reckless would be able to afford it.
Other is the ship. Why didn’t they go on world tour to find other Tajss cities and survivors. There may have others like the tribe. As well as other humans. At minimum they should go destroy the invading slavers. Taking their supplies to help rebuild. They could use tech, communication, etc.

Dragons Capture

This is the story about Rosalind and Visidion. Two alphas trying to save the future of the humans and dragons. One human Gershom wants nothing but power and to rid the city of the dragon Zmaj. Rosalind and Visidion try to save some humans from the Zzlo and get captured and brought to another planet. They must fight in the arena to survive if they want to get back to the planet Tajss. But what will be waiting for them if they do? Each book gets better and better. There is plenty of action, daydreaming, hot alien/human interaction, and hope. It's a great series.

Series Continues To Shine

Going off-site to Krik offers Ms Martin an opportunity to do something she does so well...world building. As Visidion and Rosalind struggle to survive as gladiators, they grow closer and closer together ❤. Can they escape and get back to Tajss? Will Rosalind's illness be curable? Will Ros and Visidion finally do IT? Is there a solution to the Gershom problem? Can the citizens of Tajss find a lasting way to come together as a group? Read the book. It is just full of action, suspense and love. Enjoy!

Visidion and the tribe live by the Edicts

I love the straightforward, and simple sounding, but very meaningful Edicts that Visidion and his tribe live by. Rosalind and her humans are still finding their footing, and getting the tribe to understand that the accept the Edicts, but won't be limited by them is interesting.

This book went in a direction I did not expect. It covered a lot of territory, and did a lot of world building. Another good Kindle Unlimited read, with particularly interesting characters.

Thid one’s fire 🔥

Visidion and Rosalyn’s story was a wild roller coaster, ride of adventure, trials and tribulations and victory. Roslyn and Visidion being both leaders of the people did not feel that they could be in a relationship together and lead. These views soon change, as they are abducted by slavers, and sold to a gladiator fight ring. Of course, they escape after months, and make their way back to Tajss. Dealing with Gershon in the city is their last trial and a happily ever after was won. This story was a well-deserved five star.

Amazing!

Wao! I couldn't wait to read Rosalind and Visidion's story and I wasn't disappointed!!! Wao! It truly was a rollercoaster of emotions.
They went through so much together. And their sexy moments were hot and steamy! Truly a wonderful read!!! Highly recommended.
Ps: I really would have loved for Visidion's plan for Gershom to had worked out. He is right. He should have been dealt with permanently.

This is the sixth book in the series and WOW all I can say is this series keeps getting better and better. I love how the author actually took Rosalind and Visidion off planet as well as how she actually had Visidion's father have an apperance! Like all the other books in the series this one has action, suspense, drama, and romance in it to keep the reader pulled in. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book

Gladiators

There is dissent within the City and it comes to a head, forcing part of the group out. Then it discovered that there are slavers taking more of the humans away but a rescue mission doesn't go as planned. Rosalind's greatest strength is getting people to cooperate and she is tested to extremes in this story. There are more stressful matters coming and everyone will need to be on their guard.

I just didn't enjoy it as much as the others. This whole there's not enough people in this generation was just too much for me. I stopped reading midway through and had to make myself restart a few months later. Rosalind gets on my nerves with her attitude and naivety toward Gershom. She's so damn dumb how much does he have to do before something happens to him? She just let that go on too long and still at the end it was still unfinished

Off world experiences

Even though they’re trying to keep the peace, Gershom gets his wish and kicks everyone out of the city that doesn’t follow him. The Zzlo are causing more havoc and it’s these two that have to try and save them. They get captured and end up off world, but they learn a lot and finally give in to their own desires. When returning, Rosalind has an idea to return them all to the city and get rid of the bad apples along the way.

I definitely liked this better than the last few books. I hope this isn't a spoiler but there isn't heavy spice until after halfway through!! Which I actually liked considering the last few were borderline too much spice focus over plot for me. I love that this book takes them off planet to get a bigger view of the universe of Tjass and introduced some great new unique characters. The balance between Rosalind and Vissidion makes for such a great example of a healthy respectful relationship.

omg book 8 and flipping Wow

Between Greshamers, poisonous plants, vampire bats, sand worms, other extremely dangerous deadly animals and deadly heat this planet world is to the extreme. Thank goodness for Zzmaj natives and their help. If it’s not all the above trying to kill the survivors it’s Gresham that’s dividing the survivors but there is always one that can start riots and divisions. This series is a very good tension filled series happy to have found it

Pretty good

I love lady General and her story was pretty good. I like the new aliens we met,but I'm not sure when we needed to go gladiator. It felt a bit to separate from the rest of the Red planet stories. I ask wanted Greshom to get more than exile he's going to do continue to do evil things unless he's truly taken care of.

Dragon’s Capture

This was an excellent addition to the series! The two leaders have an adventure while trying to get their races to work together in order to assure survival. Along the way we meet other aliens, old and new bad guys, and have a epic romance! I loved their HEA, and I’m looking forward to the next book.

SFR series is great

I am loving these books and the universe of dragon men on Tajiss. The story arc is getting very good. There is also some nerdy humor that I certainly appreciate. Example, "I’m no better than one of those fool women in a romance novel. If someone was reading this as a story I’m sure they’d be screaming at the book what an idiot I was for walking into this."

I enjoyed watching the two leaders get together and their different approaches to leadership and towards managing their relationship for the good of their people. They both want to work together and unite their people.

There is also a random gladiatorial adventure in this book and they bring back some random alien's so that's new and interesting. It also gives us a bit of an idea about what's happening off planet which is necessary for a better understanding of the next book in the series.

I do think this one was less spicy than others. I think that's because the characters were more controlled and had other priorities. They also weren't alone on their adventure so no opportunities for spicy time arose.

The attempt to explain why Gresholm was allowed to stay was stupid in my opinion and there was a much more solid one that should've been more used: He's Trump right. What do you think Trump supporters would do if Trump actually faced consequences for his actions? Actually, this REALLY explains a lot... unfortunately.

I did really love that ending though and I'm looking forward to finding out more as they establish themselves on the planet. There's definitely a lot to explore in the background of this series and I'm enjoying watching it unfold!
