Ritz Towers is in college, all grown up and seen by many as a celebrity. But her down-to-earth upbringing makes her view herself like any other youth—ordinary and ready to impact the world positively. When she travels abroad with a charity for a joint rescue and evangelical mission, and ventured into remote areas, she is shocked to discover how different life could be—and how blessed she was in parentage.

Ritz grew flustered when she suspected that her “parent-imposed” traveling companion and childhood friend, Jaden Bailey’s innocent teasing is no longer such, even as strange occurrences in their host town have her parents threatening to evacuate her back home sooner than planned. Are their worries excessive caution, or does someone intend to do her harm far away from home? Is she safe? Will she ever find out what Jaden is really up to or why he’s behaving weirdly around her?

SUNSHINE is Book 9 in The New Rulebook Christian Romantic Suspense Series- An acclaimed Christian Suspense Series.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

It has been my utmost pleasure walking through this series with you! We’ve cried together, laughed, perched at the edge of our seats, bitten our fingernails at the unexpected twists and turns, and enjoyed watching these characters’ growth. The losses hurt, and the salvation experiences glow in our heart daily. I enjoyed writing this series, despite going through the most difficult seasons of my life at the same time, where God showed Himself strong on my behalf and came through for me every day in the most unexpected ways. It is my hope that, as we’ve reached the end of this series, you have been blessed by Ruby, Robert, Ritz, Charlie, Pete, Patricia, Mike, and all the other characters. Oh, and let’s not forget Nana Barnesworth at Snowy Peaks! What a beautiful, soulful journey. May the Lord bless you and keep you in Him!

Sunshine by Joy Ohagwu is a Christian suspense. It is the ninth and final book in the New Rulebook series and what a cracking end it is. The book even contains a bonus chapter. Everything is neatly wrapped up.
Sunshine focuses on mission. We are all called to be missionaries - some in our neighbourhoods, others overseas. Most of this book is set in Cambodia. Through comprehensive descriptions, the reader 'feels' the heat and 'experiences' the landscape, whilst 'seeing' the poverty.
In contrast to the west, the people are rich in spirit. They share what they have with those in need. Even in their poverty, they give. They have huge thankful and grateful hearts.
We are called to be the church. "We share about Christ, and we show them Christ through what we do." We are to be Jesus; hands and feet to a hurting world.
Praise and worship are important. We praise God for who He is, at all times. In the bad, we praise and trust that He is good.
Prayer is vital. We must remember to thank God for all His goodness as well as asking for help in situations.
God is a God of second chances and transformations. The reader has witnessed the transformation of a character throughout the series. It has been a joy to behold and a reminder that in Christ, we are a new creation.
This New Rulebook series has been great. Sunshine is a fitting climax. A perfect afternoon's read.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

Sunshine is a delightful end to this series. I am sad to say goodbye to the characters I’ve come to know as family and friends but this book is a perfect conclusion. If you haven’t read any of the books in this series, I suggest starting at Book 1 and working your way through. You’ll be glad you did. Each one is filled with suspense, intrigue, romance. If you love inspirational suspense, you’ll love this series.

Sunshine is just as good as Book 1. Through the books in the series, watching Ritz grow up, seeing how God led Robert Towers, his wife, Pete, and the others, my faith has been strengthened as my enjoyment of inspirational suspense has been filled.

I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Ritz Towers is the daughter of a President and wants a normal life. Not going to happen. She goes on a mission trip to Cambodia. Nothing is normal.

Just as I thought Ritz is "too perfect" she shows her human side. It made her real. Her friend, Jadan is acting weird. Ritz is determined to find out.

I've enjoyed this series and am saddened it's at the end. The characters are memorable and have found a place in the history of my mind. I loved the mission trip bringing back memories of my own trip to Nigeria.

I highly recommend this book and this series. Takes the reader into the Kingdom of God and gives us a wonderful experience.

The New Rulebook from Joy Ogwu is a great suspense series based on Christian principles. The story is exciting but also moving and faith building. The story makes you think about your own life, what place God and His promises have in your life and how you deal with them. The series has great characters that you get to know well. The story is very exciting and captivating until the end. Joy knows how to keep the tension in and always give it a great twist. The series is a great example of how to live the Christian life. Some fragments are so real and moving that they touch your heart deeply.

What a mixture of emotion as I read this final book in the New RuleBook series.
I am happy to be reading this book but sad to see the series end.
I have been there for every step of Robert and Ruby's journey, watching Ritz's birth and her growth to adulthood plus the addition of Robbie to the household.
I also experienced joy at how these two affected the lives of so many people and how our Lord and Saviour was uplifted in every word.
Thank you for this awesome series and I look forward to the next

Divine Love

Once again, through God’s blessings, Joy has written another beautiful-inspirational book. I continue to enjoy the scriptures built within each book, and the extensive conversations each character has with our Maker. As a flawed human we want instant gratification and it’s nice to see within this series the patience each character must reflect when waiting for God to answer prayers. This book is a must read; it has missionary work, first love, suspense, and a little political inner workings. Be Blessed!!

I received this book free and am gladly leaving an honest review. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Sunshine. It is a God filled story about a young lady that just happens to be the first daughter going into Cambodia to to do mission work with a childhood friend by her side as well as many others. She is challenged with finding love and helping others to find God. I have very much enjoyed reading this marvelous series.

Loved the finale to the series. The focus was more on romance, and less on a mystery. Although there was one. Ritz Towers, the First Daughter, went to Cambodia on a missions trip. While there she discovers love, and gets kidnapped. I liked the emphasis on praising God, even in dire circumstances. And that we need to follow God, even if we don’t get what we want – God is more than a cosmic genie. The prayers in the book were very authentic.

Wonderful! I was again sitting on the edge of my seat, not able to put this book down. It was suspenseful and knowing the series was coming to and end , also heartfelt. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a good thriller. You do not have to read the other books in the series to understand, but I recommend reading all if possible!

On Mission

I enjoyed this book so much as it brought back memories of my mission trip to Kenya. Joy was able to write of the overwhelming feelings at seeing the needs but not being able to meet them all. It is an excellent book that shows God is our hope and our future.

Series finishes strong with the story of Robert and Ruby's daughter. Nice insights into the inner world of a young woman seeking to live up to high expectations. Demonstrates the power of service in the name of Jesus.

Ritz and Jaden attending Pastor Pete’s church and now he was asked to travel with her. Going to Cambodia missionary endeavor, seeing a side of life she didn’t know. As for Jaden his teasing, made her uneasy, was there something else going on with him. A delightful ending to this series.

I wondered what exciting things were going to happen in this book. It took a while to get to it. There is more suspense, a new love affair, a death thwarted & lastly a wedding. Great job of wrapping up the series. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary review.

Great book

This was a fast read because it was interesting and kept you wondering when the suspense would escalate. It wrapped things up nicely so I'm interested in seeing what future books in the series are about
