Drown is about a world where there are people who can manipulate and control the elements of earth, water, and fire. They are living in nature and respond to its anger and worry for the world. In this short story Dana is sneaking out to see her boyfriend John while her parents are trying to figure out why Nature is so upset. While out they are led by Water to the probable cause of Nature's anger. I can't quite decide yet if I really liked this story. I will probably read the first full book to make my determination. This is why I gave it 3 stars. I received a free copy for an honest review.

A day in the life in Dana's teenage years. I thought it was a fun read with a little suspense and action in a quick story. I read it in one sitting as I had to see why the elements were all upset. You really do not have to have read the other in the series to get the general story but it does give you extra enjoyment. And the way it ends does make me want to read more in the series. And go back and re-read the others. I honestly liked the story. Also reminded me why I like this series.

In Native American mythology the four elements are Earth, Air, Water, Fire. In the paranotmal universe that people this series people such as Armand, Adele and daughter Dana possess the ability to control these elements. In this second in the series we meet Dana’s boyfriend John whose specialty is Fire to Dana’s Water. In typical teenage fashion they ignore Dana’s being grounded and go off to blow up an enemy compound.

Very short read, but definitely worth reading. I would recommend this story for anyone already familiar with other books in this series, though I'm quite sure it can also be read as a standalone. This story provides a peek into the situation of a young girl and her boyfriend she keeps under wraps where her parents are concerned.
