( This is NOT the original book. If you’re looking for the original book, search this link ) Charles Bukowski was a popular author and poet, but his rise to fame was difficult. He was a drunk and he was crude. He was middle-aged by the time someone published one of his novels. However, fame did not change Bukowski. He continued to live the drunken life of a loser. His writing was popular because it was honest. In the end, Charles Bukowski became famous because he didn’t care what other people thought of him. Our culture defines success by how much stuff we have. The more we have, the better life we must lead. The problem is that society tells us what we need by reminding us what we lack. We become dissatisfied with our current situation, and strive to get whatever is bigger and better. While this is a good strategy if you’re a business, as a consumer it causes us to never be content with what we have. Advertisements tell us to give a fuck about everything, because it’s good for their businesses. The author urges us to give a fuck about only the important things in life... Read more.... I mean great message and really helps you look at yourself as a complete being with bad and good but a bit repetitive. An amazing book for those who struggle with intellectualizing every feeling to skip over feeling. It speaks of the radical acceptance of your own emotions. I think this book would of hit harder if I hadn’t come to the conclusion to live in this way a couple months before and it was a new fresh concept in my life 😅

Summary: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life by Readtrepreneur Publishing is a wonderful and concise summary of the original book: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. This summary is entertaining and does a great job at conveying the meat and potatoes of the original book. The reader is told that one of the keys to happiness is letting go or in other words “not giving a f*ck”. This summary does a good job at organizing the ideas of the nine chapters and condensing them into a short read that is informative and keeps the readers attention. This book was really good and I quite enjoyed it as I have done my own research and reading on duality (discussed in this book as embracing negativity) and the author also explains how the media has brainwashed humanity into striving for success and material gain when the true key to happiness is to not care and live our lives how we want. Overall this summary book was really good and very informative. I highly recommend it.

I really liked that book , I didn’t think much of it
But it turned out to be beneficial 😁
To take responsibility of ur life and ur problems to find a way out of ur misery,
To not be so entitled to be so special with ur great powers or even ur lifetime disappointments ,, this is life it happens to all and will continue to happen to all ppl around u .
To not trust ur mind to the the extreme and prevent urself from growing and experiencing new thoughts and approaches (uncertainty is the clue)
To carefully chose ur values and things u care about because that’s will be ur legacy
A healthy relationship is the one built with honesty in telling what u want and what u really think without risking the love u do receive, to be respected for who u’re not because u do certain things
or u ‘re clear of imperfections,
A good one is the one u held responsibility of ur problems without overloading the other with dullness of ur life.
And finally the closure with death is the ultimate certain truth that we tend to ignore because it’s painful yet will set our shallow minds free because we will realize that w’re part of sth bigger than ourselves and push us forward without insecurities and fears of failing to do what we really aim to .
Truly inspiring and thought provoking 😃

Has brought me some very different perspectives on life. It gave me the realization that your problems are YOUR responsibility and not others. Other things that was talked about was motivation, you values you actually live up to and some realistic values you can set for yourself; values that are more in your control. I did miss some tips on how to do set different values, but overall very good.

Hate the title. Not language I like to associate with, but the message is good if you can get past the first chapter which I found nearly kept me from reading the whole thing. It gets better towards the end.

Wow, I’ll definitely have to listen to it again and again. I just wish he would of refrained from this language:)

He really summarized what is most important and how to overcome what’s not

Insightful and simply written. Puts life’s troubles that no one gets away without having, into perspective.

Nice read....but deep down you know this already!

It's a skim book but worth your time...makes me think of those people that really do care only about their gain.

I’ve read this book twice. It really opened my eyes.
Maybe i’m not doing well in things i try because i really don’t want to do them. I highly recommend this book!

best self help book i’ve read. was not a book about bettering yourself, but about changing your perspective. “you always get to choose the metric by which you measure things”

I’m so amazingly self aware I feel like I didn’t really need to read this but fun nonetheless albeit a bit repetitive. Could surely be good for a lot of people though

I have not doubt this book speaks to many and I think that's great. I think the world of self help, some books speak to more than others. This one didn't resonate with me in the way others have. I do get behind the idea of "not giving as many F's." but overall, the read was a bit too condescending for my taste..for me to let the material sink in.
