A well-balanced descriptive approach by the author. Rather than going deep into the number games she tries to present an objective figure of the Indian Economy with her unique style of narrating the events and different situations occurs in the long journey of Indian economy.
The book is prescribed in almost every exam where you have to sit for Indian economy paper. The readers will get a fresh and objective analysis of the economy. The book is too long compared to some other tittle of Indian economy but here you will find the things in a detailed manner.
Read it if you want to understand the Indian economy in depth.

The contents of this book & her unique way of narrating them are so captivating & even amusing as compared to other writers regarding the Indian economy. For those who wish to engage with the majestic account of the Indian economy - while avoiding a load of enormous & maddening facts & figures, this book will be your best choice.

(Read the 16th edition) A standard textbook. Comprehensive and updated with the latest events and statistics. Although, the huge amount of data could have been shown as graphs instead of describing them in long paragraphs.
