Rebecca’s missing, there’s Alpha decisions to make and Cam needs to introduce Chasity to his billionaire lifestyle in this thrill a minute paranormal romance.
Lots of emotional turmoil captures the heart from various members of the pack, ups and downs, happy and sad, worried and excitement, all of these has the readers totally caught up in the story wondering what will happen next but none of those holds a candle to the rage and despair that flows from Jacob when Rebecca can’t be found. There’s also lots of passion and romance to be found as well with the various matings including new ones and some celebrations that make all the pain well worth it. This strong captivating pack continues to win readers over with their strength, loyalty, courage and of course let’s not forget those sexy highland wolves and the fast paced, smooth flowing plot grabs reader’s attention from the very beginning with action, suspense and romance.
Tension builds as the pack searches for Rebecca and let me tell you the bad guys better move out of the way because Jacob’s on the war path and nothing will stop him getting her back and then there is lots of other exciting things happening within the pack and Cam’s decisions will bring about many more, so I have to tell the excitement never really ends. The well written scenes and details ensure that the reader becomes completely immersed in the story while the intriguing events ensure that there’s no how, no way, the reader can put the book down.
I find that I love visiting Cam and both packs and well I have to say that this visit kept me on the edge of my seat with some spectacular happenings and some truly memorable events and I can’t wait to visit Grant and his new mate in Scotland.

Becca had been kidnapped and the clock is ticking to get her back before the unspeakable happens. With the help of Cam the Pack alpha Becca's mate Jacob will do anything it takes to get to her before it's to late and goddess help anyone that tries to get in his way.
Lovely story that starts out full of fear and anger and turns into an exciting journey that leads many of the characters to the places they are meant to be. Though this story began on a dark note for Becca and Jacob their ending was absolutely beautiful and it finished up the book on a sweet and happy note.
I have come to really enjoy the many different and interesting characters in this series. I hope there are many more books to come about this entertaining pack of Highland Wolves and I very much look forward to jumping into Grant and Shelly's story next. This is a great series to get wrapped up in and in my opinion Highland Wolf Clan: Despair and Destiny is definitely recommended!

Another fantastic instalment in the series. I was eagerly anticipating this book more than the others after the cliffhanger of book 3. It was worth the wait.
Certain scenes in this book literally had my heart stalled in my chest and others had me shivering with a dreaded fear, which is all testament to brilliant writing.
I'm looking forward to book 5 and seeing all the plans Cam has being put into place!

Wow love it! This book took right of where book 3 ended and man it took off! An awesome continuation for the Highland wolf clan series, great story with suspense, Drama and romance.. Love the wolves the witches and can't wait to read more!

This is the second time of reading this series, last time was a couple of months ago. And I think its gotten better if that's possible. I love the interactions between the characters and I'm still in love with Cameron. If you haven't read this give it a go

Cover/Title: As usual the cover is gorgeous. The title is fitting as poor Jacob has a lot of despair about Rebecca's situation.
Characters: I love that although the author kept the same characters, a few new ones are introduced throughout the book. I can't wait to read more and learn about the new pack members.
Plot: The last book ended with Rebecca being kidnapped and this book picks up there. I loved the story line. Even though I would say Cam is the MC, the series rotates around a central group of characters. The reader really gets a lot of insight into their daily lives. These characters go thru so much but they work together to get thru any issues that arise.
Overall: I love this series. I am trying to think of any unfinished business left for this series. I can only think of Mac. I really hope that he gets his HEA in the next book. I will definitely be reading on to see what happens with this crew.

I really suggest reading these in order to get the most enjoyment from the story.
The new wolves are arriving and settling in. Lots happening in Cam and Chastity’s lives. Chastity has to integrate into the world of her billionaire mate.
I love how there is so much going on all the time, good, bad and downright nasty.
We have more than one couple finding each other in these books which really diversifies the story for me. Also the fact we are getting a mix of connected packs stories blending together.
Great how Fergus and Cam sort things out and the direction things are going.
Really hate what happened to Rebecca but loved how resilient she is.

Beyond awesome!
Never fails another great one added to this wonderful story! I'm in love with this story from beginning til now and want the next book asap!! Lol cannot get enough, everything seems to be going well and falling into place,yes!! Fergie is a whole man now and Alpha like he should be. I never laugh so hard when they went to the ball. So funny with the mouths dropped to the floor. I laughed a lot in this one some of the characters are funny and awesome. I even love Aden the panther. Poor guy I hope he finds happiness in this pack

I like the way this series is constantly adding new characters with every book. That always keeps a series more interesting because the next book can go in more directions and the plot can have more dimension or something like that. I don't know, I just like the characters that keep getting added.

Jumping straight back into the Highland Wolf Clan where we left them in the third book, 'New Beginnings' we come back to the story of Fergie and Angel and how her love for the once-Alpha since his future was bypassed because of his accident which lead him to be bound to a wheelchair. Rebecca had healed him but was still to learn of his new development, which he quickly does upon discovering that she has gone missing from her mate, and Pack.

A WONDERFUL SERIES THAT CAN MAKE YOU LAUGH AND CRY...ONE I DON'T WANT TO MISS OUT ON...
I HAVE HAVE SO LOVED EACH BOOK IN THIS SERIES. You have Cameron Sinclair, Scottish werewolf, who never wanted to be alpha so he left his fathers clan and made a multimillion dollar empire.Then he is called back to Scotland, refused to take over and told his father to give it to his younger brother, Grant .He would go to the United States to figure out and solve the 2nd problem his father said they had, his uncle ask for help and his cousin Fergie had been injured and was in a wheelchair, so he could not help his father. Due to things that happen Cam was forced to be Alpha, met his mate Chastity and became Alpha of her clan,lucky the land touched. Things are getting better for both clans with the help of some of the young Scottish wolves from Grant's clan to help rebuild the American clan. This is just a line or two from each of the first three books, believe me there is so much more that happens in each one that you will love .NOW to continue into book 4, Fergie hears his mate yelling,"Stop please Stop," and runs yelling ," Get your F_______ hands off my mate or I'll tear your throat out." Then realizes he is standing on his own legs when she says,"It worked." She had done something he hadn't wanted, because of what would happen. But now Cam needed to be called so they could find missing Rebecca, Jacob's mate, already missing 5 hours.This story made me laugh, and cry. You have Cam and Chastity trying to solve the Fergie problem, find Rebecca (only the men did that), Cam's business in LA. which includes a ritzy ball and Chastity has never been outside of clan land. Of course Rebecca and Stracey (Jinx's new mate) and Cam are taking Chastity on a real shopping trip, no looking at price tags, formal and two of everything causal. The ball will make you laugh as Chastity learns how to handle human barracuda's who have tried for years to get Cam for his money but he didn't give them the time of day. She learns how to deal with Cam and his giving heart. Helping keep a promise to Jacob, going back to deal with clan problems and Fergie, improving on an ideal Chastity had. Butting her in charge of their interests in things she was interested in. And attending Rebecca and Jacob's hand fasting ceremony. Can't wait for this to continue.

Despair and Destiny is a good name for this installment of the Highland Wolf Clan Series, after Book 3 New Beginnings cliffhanger ending!
A.K. Michaels sure knows how to leave you wanting the next book, thankfully she has quick fingers, and we did not have to wait long.
We were left wondering who had snatched Rebecca the Witch bonded to the wolf PI Jacob after she had left Angel's cabin. This book is a fast paced, action packed ride, and when the wolves finally find her, they have a serious situation to deal with.
Will Rebecca and Jacob cope with the aftermath of the kidnapping? How will Cam deal with the miraculous recovery of his Cousin Fergie, the rightful Alpha of the pack?
Meanwhile, Chastity gets to see what Cam's other life is when he takes her to LA - how will she take to the "Charity Ball Circuit", with Stracy on hand to help with the required shopping trip needed, it will turn out an expensive visit and Chastity's Alpha tendencies will come in handy when the LA circuit realise Cam is no longer available. There are some LA Social climbers who had their eye on Cam!

I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This is the fourth installment of the Highland Wolf Clan Series. As such, they do need to be read in order. You will not enjoy nearly as much if you read them out of order.
This book picks up immediately from the end of the third one. You know the cliffhanger that had me scrambling to get to this story. Rebecca has just helped to heal Fergie and is heading back to her mate Jacob when she is kidnapped right outside Fergie and Angel’s house. Now the pack is scrambling, trying to figure out who would kidnap her, the reason behind it, and of course, where she is being held. There are major subplots that are tied up as well. How will Cam deal with the fact that Fergie is healed and can now be the Alpha he was born to be? Who will take over Alpha of the Wild Flower Pack? Cam also has to take Chastity from the only life she has known and show her his life. The life of a Billionaire. How will Chastity handle that life?
If you want a great paranormal series, then this is the one for you. This series gets better and better. It has pulled me in so completely that I never want to leave. I need this series to continue. I want to know what happens with Grant and Shelly when they leave to go back to Scotland and he announces his she-wolf and the fact that they seem to be the couple that the poem foretold.
I highly suggest that you pick up Book One of this series and find out just how spellbinding this series is. A.K. Michaels definitely has a huge hit with this one.

This book picks up immediately from the end of the third one. You know the cliffhanger that had me scrambling to get to this story. Rebecca has just helped to heal Fergie and is heading back to her mate Jacob when she is kidnapped right outside Fergie and Angel’s house. Now the pack is scrambling, trying to figure out who would kidnap her, the reason behind it, and of course, where she is being held. There are major subplots that are tied up as well. How will Cam deal with the fact that Fergie is healed and can now be the Alpha he was born to be? Who will take over Alpha of the Wild Flower Pack? Cam also has to take Chastity from the only life she has known and show her his life. The life of a Billionaire. How will Chastity handle that life?
If you want a great paranormal series, then this is the one for you. This series gets better and better. It has pulled me in so completely that I never want to leave. I need this series to continue. I want to know what happens with Grant and Shelly when they leave to go back to Scotland and he announces his she-wolf and the fact that they seem to be the couple that the poem foretold.
I highly suggest that you pick up Book One of this series and find out just how spellbinding this series is. A.K. Michaels definitely has a huge hit with this one.

After the cliffhanger that New Beginnings left us on I was more than a little bit anxious for this book and honestly the title did not fill me with hope!!! I was swiftly swept up in the magical world that the Highland Wolf Clan series creates, I really think that this might be my favourite book in the series so far!
We pick up right where we left off with book three, it has to be said that this series just gets better and better, and that isn't easy when AK Michaels already set the bar ridiculously high with The Reluctant Alpha (Book One). I love that you can visibly see the characters evolving as the series progresses, believable character development is a huge positive for me so I am beyond thrilled :). As for the Packs you have the usual faces but with a few new ones thrown in and they are just as awesome as the rest of them! Cam has really taken to being Alpha like a duck to water, he is a far stretch from the person he was at the start of book one, it's really no surprise that he's a good Alpha really when you see how amazing he is as a businessman. Like the previous books Despair and Destiny is full of action and I've said it before and I'll keep saying it... I LOVE how AK Michaels describes their transformation to wolf, she describes it with such detail that I can picture it vividly!
This is easily my favourite paranormal/fantasy series. Another incredible book by AK Michaels, I'm counting down until the next one already!!!!

New Beginnings left me on a clifhanger and I've been chomping at the bit for the latest in the series!!!
Rebecca has been duped by those closest to her! She has been abducted by an evil blast from her past and things are not going well! Jacob is out of his mind with worry and the rest of the clan aren't that much better!!
I'm no going to give spoilers but Ava dealt with a difficult, traumatic encounter with respect and dignity. There was no glossing over of the horrific events but it was dealt with in typical Rebecca style!
Cam and Chastity are also coming into their own as newly appointed Alphas. With Fergie now recovering there is now an issue as there are two alphas in the same pack. However a plan evolves and everyone is happy with the outcome. Chastity also gets her claws out to protect her man at a charity ball!! She went so badass female it was brilliant!!
The characters continue to evolve in complexity and the world of HWC never gets samey. We continue to visit with minor characters from the other books and we see them grow and hopefully that means we may see them more in the coming books!! Ava writes with such empathy with her character but is the mistress of a good shifter fight scene!!

Despair and Destiny is another great addition to the Highland Wolf Clan series and a very satisfactory end to several of the subplots in the main story.
SPOILER ALERT from this point on!
The book starts with a big bang while we follow Rebecca's abduction and rescue. She was the victim of a brutal attack and Jacob is devastated, but his friends help him overcome what could be his downfall. Fergie and Angel must deal with Angel's good intent to restore him whole, and a Alpha again which could destroy the Highland clan. It is now Fergie's right to challenge Cam and that is heartbreaking for both of them. Meanwhile, Cam's romantic side emerges as he tries to help Chastity come to terms with the fact that she is bonded to a millionaire. We also find out what happens to Logan and Tina, and his patience and love for her makes for the sweetest chapter in this book where tender moments abound. Finally, Ms. Michaels reveals what the future has in store for the two clans and, without spoiling it furthermore, I loved how everything worked out at the end. I'm now very much looking forward to read Grant and Shelly's story. As usual, kudos to Ms. Michaels for creating a wonderful world and awesome characters who live, love, and fight with great passion.

Will they be able to find Rebecca? If so will she be the same after her ordeal? Will Chastity be able to fit into Cam’s human world? Or will she not be able to deal with all the differences? What will Cam and Fergie agree on or will it be a fight for Alpha?
I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

Rebecca is a witch who is just mated with Jacob, a wolf. After secretly performing a healing one night , she has been abducted. Tension runs high when Jacob finds his new mate stolen from under his nose. How can such a powerful witch be taken?
The healing she performed just before being taken will also cause major changes in pack life.
Chastity is coming to terms with her new life as the Alpha female, and ( the Alpha) Cam's mate. Her life before is so very different to everything that Cam will shower her with.
We also catch up with Logan and Tina, she was terribly abused under the old pack Alpha's regime.
There are so many stories to come in this series, I can see it going on for many more books yet. I want to read every one.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author AK Michaels. This is book 4 of the Highland Wolf Clan series by the author.
Things are tense because Rebecca is missing and Jacob is extremely worried. Cam and the pack do everything in their power to find her. Cam and Charity go to LA on his business and there he decided what to do about his cousin Fergie since he has been cured and can walk and the pack. Can he make it right without bloodshed or will Fergie try to take over his rightful claim as alpha.
Excitement, drama, revenge, murder and romance are all found with in the pages of this story. The author continues to create an great story line and the flow is awesome.
This is for any mature paranormal romance book lover. This is book 4 and the books should be read in order because where 1 stops the next book starts.

Wow, an incredible read. Book 3 ended on a killer of a cliff hanger and this book starts from that point with plenty of drama and danger that will have you hooked from the first page but if you think that's where the excitement ends you'd be mistaken.
As well as the kidnapping, Cam also has to resolve pack issues, mainly the fact that Fergie is the rightful Alpha of the highland wolf pack and is now ready to take his place as such but as Cam is unwilling to give up the Alpha role after it was forced upon him, will they be able to find a solution that doesn't involve a fight between the two cousins for dominance ?
AK Michaels takes you on a roller coaster of emotions from despair to joy in this book and although I have enjoyed the whole series, I think this was my favourite so far.

I love how each book picks up where the last one left off. At the end of book 3 Rebecca was kidnapped. This book starts with everyone finding out she is missing. So much happens in this book. We meet a few new characters, changes in the pack, and how life is progressing for our familiar characters.
Once I started th book I couldn't put it down. Ava's writing style keeps you captivated where you have to keep reading to find out what happens next and how the story ends. It is well written and easy to read. I will be anxiously waiting for the next book.

The story starts with a bang as I was devastated when we were left with a cliffhanger at the end of Book 3, but we don't have long to wait for some questions to be answered and the thrills and drama that goes with these answers will have you glued to the pages.
Jacob is on the verge of a rampage if they fail to rescue Rebecca, Cam has further issues with his leadership and Chastity is feeling nervous about fitting in with Cam in his wealthy, city, life style.
The story has everything, great action, thrilling supernatural suspense, and of cause, smoking hot love scenes.
I've throughly enjoyed this series, Jacob has to be my favourite character this time around.
