When Edna Charles finds an abandoned baby, she thinks it has been left there for her. She quits her job, withdraws all money out of her account, changes her name and heads out of town. Heading to Arizona, she leaves a trail of bodies along the way. Meanwhile, the mother of the baby, fifteen-year-old Rosie Brown, reports the baby missing. It turns out that Rosie had left the baby for Edna to find. Edna is a counselor, working with adolescents. Rosie is a former client. She thought Edna would take good care of the baby, but she misses him and wants him back. She reports the baby missing and an Amber Alert is sent out. But the police suspect that Rosie has done something with the baby. She finally admits that she left the baby in front of an abandoned church, on a dirt road where Edna walked every day during her lunch break. Edna continues to elude the FBI as they follow the bodies of people who have tried to stop her.

After reading at least one book a day for over 30 years, I decided to try my hand at writing after I retired.

Once I started writing the characters took over and I tried to keep up, not always easy. Books have been pouring out of me ever since. This is what I should have been doing all my adult life, I love it so much.

The Disappearing Baby

I thought the book had a lot of suspense, this woman takes a baby out of the blue from a young girl and disappears with him also kills a few people.

Meh.

This was like reading a high school paper. Contrived, no character development, unrealistic situations. I just wanted to finish it and move on. Disappointing
