Evocative detail, warm, likable characters, great dialogue and realistic storytelling is the reason I read books written by Kandy Shepherd. In Greek Tycoon's Mistletoe Proposal, the author expresses the heartfelt emotions with realism and as a reader, you want to be touched by the characters of the book you're reading and this book does that. It gives your heart a warm feeling and every time the hero and heroine reach an impasse you root for them to find a solution to their problems soon- because when they're together the sparks just fly! I really, really enjoyed this story and can't wait to read the author's next book!

Greek Tycoon’s Mistletoe Proposal by Kandy Shepherd is a feel-good happy romance. Ashleigh Murphy started working as maid for Maids in Chelsea after running out on her own wedding back in Australia. She needed a place to stay urgently but was short on cash so she decided to stay at one of the houses she’s supposed to clean. After all, the owner isn’t using the house and it’s a shame to leave such a beautiful house all by itself over Christmas!
In comes Lukas Christophedes, owner of said house, and he catches Ashleigh taking a bath in his master bathroom! He’s furious at the audacity of this impertinent woman…until he realises she can be useful to him… He coerces Ashleigh into pretending to be his girlfriend to keep a potential business partner (and cougar) at bay. Feelings develop between Ashleigh and Lukas and the lines between pretending and reality blurs.
This was a really quick easy read with lots of humour thrown in and I recommend it to anybody wanting a relaxing read. Kandy Shepherd is fast becoming one of my favourites Harlequin authors!

I'm going to be upfront here and claim a vested interest. I wrote the fourth book in the Maids in Chelsea series and I count Christy, Kandy and Scarlet as friends not just fellow writers. But I forgot all about that when I dived into this series. I've just finished writing a book and needed a bit of fairy tale escapism before immersing myself in the next. I didn't expect that escapism from the Maids in Chelsea series simply because I already knew the storyline in each of the books. Turns out it didn't matter. There's a huge difference between an outline and a finished book and no outline could convey the warmth, the humour and the gorgeous Christmassy magic that suffuses each of these books. Reunions, Cinderella type transformations, second chances, stony hearts, gorgeous heroes (Greek, Scottish and aristocratic), snow, castles, fancy Balls, gorgeous clothes, poignancy, tenderness, sensuality, warm friendships and three wonderful heroines. If you want some fairy tale Christmas romance this series then I can't recommend this series enough.

Fabulous story that I devoured almost in one sitting I loved the setting London at Christmas time two gorgeous people who really deserve love and find it together in such a beautiful way a story that should not be missed.
Ashleigh Murphy has run away from marriage in her home town of Bunderberg Queensland Australia and is in London working for The Maids of Chelsea struggling to keep her head above water but she has made great friends with some of the other maids and has been working in a gorgeous house where the owners are away and when she desperately needs a place to stay she squats in the house never realizing that when she is found by the owner billionaire Greek Lukas Christophedes that her life is going to change forever in such a good way.
Lukas is a determined bachelor no way is he going to marry he is quiet and guarded and his work and company mean everything to him he is not close to his family feeling not a lot of love from them but when he discovers Ashleigh in his house he decides to use her for a business deal that he needs to make never realizing that the spark that ignited his blood when they met will set him on a path of love.
This one ticks all of the boxes for a fabulous romance the setting the characters are amazing and who doesn't love a Greek hero, so much love and emotion coming off the pages as the vibrant and caring Ashleigh gets the staid Lukas to open up and feel his emotions just beautiful. I highly recommend this one sit back and enjoy it is the second book in the Maids Under the Mistletoe series and I am looking forward to the next one :) Thank you MS Shepherd this one is a keeper.

After finding the courage to escape her Australian family's choice of husband-to-be, Ashleigh heads to London to put some distance between herself and the failed nuptials. Greek Tycoon's Mistletoe Proposal was so sensory that it had me returning to my own young adventures in London. I could feel the cold wintry air, recall my own lack of a good coat to stave it off, and envision once more the lavish shops I couldn't afford to shop in but admired none the less! I enjoyed the character of Ashleigh. She seemed a modern day Cinderella, my favourite fairytale heroine and someone you can get behind and wish good things for. When the drop dead gorgeous Lukas enters her life, it's no surprise Ashleigh's kindness and loyalty soon see her beginning to melt the shield of ice he's developed around his heart. It was a joy to watch their romance unfold!

Ashleigh was a character that I wished I was able to be friends with. She is determined to be happy even though she doesn't have much to be happy about. Her zest for life is infectious. :) Lukas definitely needs her playful spirit in his life. The poor guy doesn't have a clue what life should be like even if he is a billionaire. Add in the fact that one of my favorite themes was used, fake relationships, SQUEEE! LOL As you can tell, I really enjoyed this Christmas read. ~ Kim

Kandy Shepherd has swept me away and along with yet another feel good magical Christmas romance.
She weaves magic and love among the pages, sweeping you off your feet and leaving you with a twinkle in your eye and love in your heart.
This story had me giggling and intrigued within the first chapter. Characters that are penned with depth and definition, a story that is a slow building romance, with laughs and banter along the way.
With her writing so vividly penned , I felt as thought I was within the pages , I was there - I could see into the characters thoughts and also the descriptions along the way.
As far as Ashleigh's delightful shopping trips, her gorgeous new wardrobe and even Lukas's gruff but loving , sexy and unsure character at times.
Ash's bubbly and charismatic character you will enjoy she was certainly a light in Lucas's life. One that shone far above the rest he had ever encountered.
Kandy's writing is crisp and well defined and gives the reader everything they could want in a wonderful heartfelt romance. Feelings, love, insecurity, passion and a happily ever after.
The sensuality that is delivered between the characters is gradual and is sweet and passionate.
A story line that keeps you engrossed till the very last page. I read this in one sitting and it certainly wont be my last story but this author.

This latest book by Aussie author Kandy Shepherd – of whose books I am an ardent fan – reminded me a little of her 'Party Queens' series with three sassy and smart women in Australia who are supposed to plan parties but instead find true love in the most unexpected circumstances and men. I can’t really put my finger on it why, but it made me want to re-read those.
This story has one of the most unusual beginnings I’ve ever seen, and that alone spurred me to read on, although I already had a feeling from the blurb that I was going to love this book. I don’t want to spoil anything, but let’s just say that Ashleigh gets found out in a rather compromising situation, and she’s in for more shocks shortly after. Right throughout what follows—having to be a Greek billionaire’s pretend girlfriend so he can nail an important deal—she shows courage again and again. What she sees as her weaknesses, I saw as her strengths and endearing qualities. She’s definitely not a meek heroine, but someone with a huge, kind heart who doesn’t really know what she wants and who she deserves. She was very believable and seemed like a perfect match for Lukas. She appeared stronger to me at the end of the book, and certainly happier than she had been.
Lukas – oh, how I love this name – is every bit the forbidden and handsome tycoon, but beneath the hard exterior and brusque formality live a hot-blooded Greek temperament and a slowly thawing heart. It was fascinating to see how Ashleigh got under his skin and how he had to wrestle a few inner demons to open up to her. He definitely won my heart over too, and not just because he came across as so swoonworthy and confident.
Christmas added a delightful undercurrent to the story, although it was merely something like an added bonus for me. I read this novel in one go, the way it always happens when I lay my hands on a new release by Kandy Shepherd. If you love sweet stories with a sensual tinge, authentic characters and an entertaining up-and-down, yes-and-no game of cat and mouse, then you’ll be in for a (holiday) treat with this romance.

Such a delightful beginning that had me wide-eyed and giggling, I soon knew I was onto a winner of a book! When the first chapter pulls you in and the story continues to keep the pages promptly turning, I am indeed a happy reader!
Lukas needs a fake girlfriend and after finding Ashleigh in his home bathing instead of cleaning, after his anger calms the light switch turns on and he has the best idea of the century. Ashleigh is pretty much homeless and in a bit of a pickle so she agrees and while spending time together getting to know each other, lets just say the Christmas lights are DEFINITELY sparkling.
So delightful is this story that it's going to go on my to be reread shelf. I loved the characters, the setting and the actual story. I really liked how the author wove her story in such a way that I kept turning the pages as fast as I could! I'd highly recommend to readers who love the Christmas theme woven through out and to anyone who'd love a darn good romance!!!

Ashleigh Murphy is trying to put her life together after running away from a planned wedding in Australia. Working as a maid helped but not enough money to pay for an apartment in London she stays in the house she is cleaning as the owner hardly ever comes home. Surprise Lukas Christophedes comes home and finds her in his tub. This is just the beginning of a truly lovely Christmas story of two people who stumble upon each other and find that each other is what they have been looking for. You will find yourself smiling as the reality of Lukas not pressing charges on Ashleigh instead asks her to be his pretend girlfriend so an older women doesn't think he is available for anything besides a business deal. Ms. Shepherd always writes amazing stories that give you those few hours of escape an a wonderful HEA. Another fantastic book by a marvelous author.

Actual rating: 4.5
In a nutshell, this book is really, really good. I don't even know why I would sound surprised because I *know* Ms Shepherd is an excellent writer and this story has all the elements of a romance I love. It's heartwarming, the characters are engaging and believable and best of all, it features one of my favorite tropes - the fake boyfriend/girlfriend. :-)
This story opens with a surprise. A surprise and rather unconventional meeting of Lukas and Ashleigh that is. Now *that* was a surprise! What an unusual meeting. Definitely not your usual boy meets girl but somehow Ms Shepherd manages to make it cute, sexy and intriguing.
I loved Lukas in this story. He's tormented by his past and a workaholic, but also a very good man. He's in a position to really take advantage of Ashleigh and he doesn't. Through everything that happens, he behaves honorably, though at times I wanted to knock him in the head and tell him to "get on with it". And with Lukas, another thing Ms Shepherd did really well was setting up how he became a billionaire. Unrealistically young men becoming self-made billionaires are a pet peeve of mine, but Ms Shepherd managed to make Lukas a very credible and (not too) young billionaire.
As for Ashleigh, isn't she a delight? She's warm, genuine and kind. She's also lots of fun and full of surprises. There I go with the surprises again! but Ms Shepherd has managed to craft Ashleigh into a lovely and complex character with an independent streak a mile wide. Ashleigh was also in a position to take advantage of Lukas and it's a credit to her character and integrity that she doesn't.
There is so much tension between Lukas and Ashleigh. So much push and pull. Will they? Won't they? Will they just get on with it!?!? Ms Shepherd does a superb job of keeping us guessing about Lukas' intentions right to the very end. But the end ... so satisfying.
The book was breathtaking and a pleasure to read from cover to cover. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it reminded me why I love Kandy Shepherd's writing and the heartwarming Harlequin Romance imprint. It really does warm my heart.
Since I'm so behind schedule right now, this might be my one and only Christmas read this year and I'm glad if it's my only read, it's this one. If I get a chance, I'll try to fit in another Christmas themed book. Maybe another from this series? I'd like to find out more about Emma and Jack.

In a nutshell, this book is really, really good. I don't even know why I would sound surprised because I *know* Ms Shepherd is an excellent writer and this story has all the elements of a romance I love. It's heartwarming, the characters are engaging and believable and best of all, it features one of my favorite tropes - the fake boyfriend/girlfriend. :-)
This story opens with a surprise. A surprise and rather unconventional meeting of Lukas and Ashleigh that is. Now *that* was a surprise! What an unusual meeting. Definitely not your usual boy meets girl but somehow Ms Shepherd manages to make it cute, sexy and intriguing.
I loved Lukas in this story. He's tormented by his past and a workaholic, but also a very good man. He's in a position to really take advantage of Ashleigh and he doesn't. Through everything that happens, he behaves honorably, though at times I wanted to knock him in the head and tell him to "get on with it". And with Lukas, another thing Ms Shepherd did really well was setting up how he became a billionaire. Unrealistically young men becoming self-made billionaires are a pet peeve of mine, but Ms Shepherd managed to make Lukas a very credible and (not too) young billionaire.
As for Ashleigh, isn't she a delight? She's warm, genuine and kind. She's also lots of fun and full of surprises. There I go with the surprises again! but Ms Shepherd has managed to craft Ashleigh into a lovely and complex character with an independent streak a mile wide. Ashleigh was also in a position to take advantage of Lukas and it's a credit to her character and integrity that she doesn't.
There is so much tension between Lukas and Ashleigh. So much push and pull. Will they? Won't they? Will they just get on with it!?!? Ms Shepherd does a superb job of keeping us guessing about Lukas' intentions right to the very end. But the end ... so satisfying.
