I guess I should have assumed the role reversal was coming - Sarah says in the first story she wants a lover who wants to dominate and be dominated. Her matchmaker was as puzzled as I was, and the last thing I imagined was that lover Nick, who's pushy and domineering, could possibly assume the role of a submissive. That seems to be the point, that it's awkward and frustrating as hell for Nick who's used to being in control, but he lets Sarah take the reins, because he wants her any way he can have her. Hmm. Definitely not what I was expecting as the story opens with Nick, ready to break their contract over Sarah "disappearing" on him at 5 in the morning. Sarah has a past - we still haven't gotten the full story there, nor do we know anything whatsoever about Nick, apart from the fact that he can make a major role reversal, which felt very much out of left field and was, as far as this hard-headed alpha hero is concerned, kind of a letdown. I still like this couple and I'm hoping they can get back to business as usual. Let's see what's in store for Nick and Sarah in book 3!
