Demonlicious!
In this book we meet Sharen. She is a demon hunter, but also a teacher of young demon hunters.
We get to see her meet her guys, and let me tell you, they bring some heat!! I can't wait to see where the story takes them in the next book. Will they be quick enough to save her friend? We will see for next time!

Beautiful Mistake by Lacey Carter Anderson is part one in her Demon Reverse Harem series. In this novella, we are introduced to Sharen. Sharen is a demon hunter training students to enter the demon realms and take on the demons there, killing them so that they cannot possess humans and wreak havoc. Sharen is going through some issues in her personal life, with her ex-husband cheating on her and taking liberties with her life. She’s hurt, angry, and feeling alone and neglected. When she and her students enter a realm looking for a minor demon, what they end up finding is more than what they bargained for.
Beautiful Mistake is a short story but one that keeps you engaged from start to finish. The story starts off with a character that does not reappear but it quickly sets into play many questions. Sharen encourages her own questions. She resents her ex-husband for what he has done but she still wears her wedding band. Why? I like how she is a take no mess kind of woman. She’s tough on her students but it’s because she knows the dangers of what it is that they do. She’s strong but then you see that she has a vulnerable side as well.
I love that this story builds up to the steamy scenes and that doesn’t just happen out of the blue. The storytelling is so well done with this and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The sex scene is steamy and gives you just the right amount of heat without going overboard. I love the elements of surprise that the author uses in this story. There are a couple predictable moments but they do not detract from the story itself.
There are a couple spelling errors in this story but they do not detract or distract from the overall story. Your eye will catch them but the story is so engaging you’ll barely notice them. I am rating this story 5 out of 5 stars. I am looking forward to the next part of this series. I’m eager to find out what happens next and for the truth to come out concerning the demons.

Sharen is tough; professional, a demon-hunter, the top instructor to the next generations of hunters. She has sacrificed her entire life to keeping others safe. She is at the top of her profession. Her personal life is another matter. Her ex-husband is a continuing nightmare. Her sister is barely worth mentioning except to say that her betrayal is unforgivable. Her best friend has just been killed. And her most recent students are not up to snuff.
Still, there's a job to do. Sharen takes her team of students on their nightly demon hunting trip. This one should be simple. Signs point to an easy outing, but it's a trap. There are three level 10 demons and at least 100 minions. Sharen and her students only make it out alive because of her skill, but for the first time ever Sharen doesn't go by the book. She's distracted by the three beautiful demons and the behavior of one of her more untrustworthy students. They are lucky to all survive. That night Sharen dreams of the demons. The best night of her life and it's a dream. But when morning comes and reality sets in, Sharen's life is about to be forever changed.
This is my favorite story from Lacey Carter Anderson so far. Quick and entertaining. Sharen is a strong woman who has put up with much more than I would. The mysteries surrounding her friend's death and the information she was killed over as well as Sharen's student's behavior are intriguing. I'm also hoping that her ex and sister get a little pay-back. I'm looking forward to this continuing story.

Beautiful Mistake is a good and engaging start to this serial. Unfortunately I did not know it was a serial when I picked it up (somehow was on my kindle, no recollection of downloading it) and it is a very short serial - took me about 15 minutes to read. But, those 15 minutes were well spent.
Andersen knows how to pique your interest. It’s actually amazing how much background and groundwork Andersen was able to convey in such a short amount of time. Sharon is a hardworking kickass demon hunter who is dealing with a divorce and the loss of her best friend. Enter three sexy as sin demons, and her world is turned upside down.
This is a RH and there is a steamy scene, magic and As all good serials do, Beautiful Mistake leaves you hanging but, good news, the next serial is already out. This is by far the shortest serial I have ever read and I think I will actually skip the next couple and just buy the bundle instead but it is definitely worth a read if this first instalment is anything to go on.

Different to the norm, its got my stamo of approval.
The series takes a different spin on demon's and demon hunters. Although the book doesn't give a lot of information about the characters, the world or the lore it is understandable for being quite a short first book in the series. However, the author has given enough material to grab the readers to want to read the next one. I have really enjoyed what I have read so far and I am now about to read book 2. I can't wait to see what happens with the level 10 demons!!

I would definitely say this is my favorite by this author so far! I loved the story world and the bit of history you learn about the demon hunters and their school and how they hunt and fight demons. I liked the MC and she was kind of relatable dealing with her life problems. Though it was a quick read I loved how you got a bit more story before jumping into the steam, but the steam was very nice! :D The cliffhanger at the end has me ready for the next one for sure!

2 1/2 stars. It’s a very short read as in I read this during my lunch hour. It has a problem that needs to be solved but there’s no back story or character development. Why are demons bad? Why are their hunters? I’m just left with a lot of questions. Maybe it’s because I don’t understand this writers style yet. I’ll still try the next book but I hope it gets better.

I received Beautiful Mistake from the author/publisher (via BookFunnel). The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. Good story, but too fast-paced without enough explanation or detail to make it a great read-- too bad, lots of potential in the plot.

Steamy, and interesting, but I wish there had been more development of the characters and backstory (as others have said) leading up the events that occur. Perhaps this will be made clear in the next installment -- I'm not a huge fan of serial novellas, so I felt I was left hanging at the end.

I’ve got a feeling I’ve read this one before. Never used to log the shorter ones. Ah well. Short, enjoyable with smut and pillow talk. All three demons were the right amount of sweet and I’m hoping they run into the ex.

This first part of the serie is interesting. I’m all for demons. Characters are very interesting. Story line promissing great developpement. And there is a mystery to solve. I’m sure I will put my hands on second part pretty soon.

Lacey Carter Andersen draws you in quickly with action, adventure and some dark twists...then come the demons and hot romance! The book does end on a cliffhanger, but it is a mild one. Can't wait for the next book to find out what happens next!

Loved this! The world Lacey created is really intriguing and the story was interesting and steamy. When demon hunter/teacher Sharen meets three sexy demons, it challenges everything she thought she knew. Sharen is a strong fierce woman and I loved her, I can't wait to read more. That ending! I'm left dying for more!
