The Blue Blaze
That was weird. It was actually kind of excellent. This is some beautiful pulpy old comics, the art was fun, and while the story wasn't different from many others, it was presented in a very entertaining way. Plus, we actually retcon Blaze a little bit to make his powers make a bit more sense. Since he's a dead man he apparently lives underground as a corpse when not hunting crime. Then when big crime (Blue Blaze sized crime) happens his body is warped underground to that place, were he breaks through the ground like a zombie and drags the bad guy back down with him. That's pretty fuckin rad guys, great job.

Hercules
This story wasn't quite as good as the last, but Hercules is cool. He used his super strength to save the circus and a city. Evil Lemo had a big bad tank that Hercules destroyed while he was still in it, killing him.

Thin Man
An adventurer, Dick Dickerson (that's not his real name) stumbles upon an ancient civilization while exploring the Himalayas. They operate on him to make him fit their society, the operation making him paper thin. They also don't let him leave until he promises to fight crime, so they give him a girlfriend and a fighter plane and send him on his way. It seems effective so far.

Flexo the Rubber Man
This time Flexo, with his dumb smiling face, kills a firing squad that was seconds away from blowing his creators to bits. Then he slapstick defeats a legion of a dictators army no problem, all for some paper scraps, (I mean, there was important science on the paper to be fair) and saved civilization!

The Black Widow
That's pretty rad. Black Widow was a clairvoyant who cursed the members of her seance because they were being dicks. Then when they crash off a cliff and die brutally the son of that family comes back to kill our girl, Claire Voyant (bad name). She's offered a chance to basically be Ghost Rider by the devil himself? But to bring criminals back to hell for reasons. I'm into it. Gimme more.

The Invisible Man
After a famous actress is found drowned, Invisible Man tracks down her killers and drowns them. It's kind of funny, they didn't know what thought bubbles were yet, back then, so when our invisible man is thinking he goes "(thinking) yada yada" I think it's funny. He also crouches in the backseat footrest of cars to snoop.

Merzah "The Mystic"
Egh, these "magician spy" stories are the worst.

The Dynamic Man
Gold is going missing at an alarming rate, it turns out there's an enemy dirigible that has gold magnets on it, and they're sucking everyone's gold up! Thankfully for everyone, they made a dirigible, so it basically explodes on its own (whether Dynamic Man threw lightning at it or not, it would have gotten hit, they were in a storm!) and DM just returns the gold and he's the hero.

Yikes, then there's an activity at the end we're you pick "redskin profiles" out of a scenery shot. They're about as bad as you'd think.

Black Widow made this worth the read by itself. Such a cool concept they’d end up reusing it, the art is fantastic as well.
