What if you found yourself in prison, or lived in a place where they outlawed going to church? That's exactly where the Barton's find themselves when what started as an average cruise sailing through the Caribbean ends with them caught in a storm, being blown off course, and captured by the Cuban authorities. All hope seems to be lost as they find themselves locked away in a gloomy prison cell. But that's when a mysterious figure from their past emerges to help them escape and find a way off the island. Join Nat and Ruth as they learn more about trusting God even in the midst of an unknown future.

The Barton Family Adventures are filled with Christian values and designed to be eBook adventures you can trust while connecting with the kid in everyone. They are a great read for parents, for your independent reader, or for everyone together as you read it aloud with the family. Middle grade readers, teachers, parents, and grandparents will all be pulled into the chase from the very beginning.

Being around kids and teens has helped to keep my spirit young and brought me to the point that I had to get some stories out ... and 'kilrB3 Media' was born. The inspiration for 'kilrB3 Media & Design' springs from my experience in raising the three killer "B's" ... Brandon, Blake, and Brianna." Along with raising a family, for many years both my wife Donna and I have been very active with church youth groups and students from all walks of life.

I am currently involved with a College & Career class and have been with young people, both teens and young adults, for over 20 years having held positions ranging from Junior Church programs to Youth Pastor, from school teacher to Athletic Director, and from summer camp to directing youth activities.

The Barton Family Adventure series is aimed at kids and young teens, but great for home school moms, parents, or those who like wholesome adventures. My desire is to tell the story that being a Christian doesn't have to mean "boring". In fact, putting faith into action can be the biggest adventure of your life!

This, the fourth book in the series, finds the Barton family in a Cuban prison! How did they end up there? The book starts by sharing the story of a family rescued in 1961 when Fidel Castro had not long been in power. Some people were seeing the truth behind the propaganda and not wanting to stay in Cuba.

Whilst this is a fictional story, the facts are true and the experiences and realities of living and worshiping in Cuba an eye opener to your kids if they have never heard the dangers of being a Christian in a communist regime. EXCELLENT resource and one that we read aloud to our kids. Danger is ever present and one seemingly great idea nearly cost the Barton's their lives. How will they escape?

This is a stand-alone story but I recommend reading them all in order. Whilst full of suspense and danger you will not find any sex or bad language etc. in this series. VERY clean and most definitely Christian based. This book does give the indication at the end that there is at least one more story in series, yet to come. I downloaded this book onto my Kindle. I was not required to write a review but chose to do so. Thanks, Liz

This is probably the most suspenseful book in the Barton Family Adventure Series. In this last chapter book, Nat and his family find themselves in the middle of a storm at sea that blows their yacht into Cuban waters. Arrested as spies, Nat, Ruth and their parents are fearful about what might happen to them...until a familiar face shows up to rescue them.

What I really liked about Escape was how it tied up a lot of loose ends from the first book. In books one and two, you think that the Barton’s are just any ole family out there doing the Lord’s work - and for the most part they are - but then they find themselves in this kind of a mess, and a whole other realm of possibility is opened. It was the kind of intense read that would be of interest to a younger age group. Also, this series falls under the rare category of having the main character be a boy, so if you have boys who like to read and are tired of books where all the main characters are girls, give this series a try!
