He wants his best friend’s girl. How can he want his best friend too?

When Connor met Katy, he knew she was the one. But it wasn’t meant to be. Six years later, with PTSD and an honourable discharge from the army, he has nowhere else to go except home—back to the only two people who can help him heal.

Connor should leave, but he can’t seem to stay away.

Falling for Katy again isn’t supposed to happen.

Neither is falling for his best friend, Levi. His very straight best friend.

He’s fought for his country, and now he’s fighting for love. This is one battle Connor cannot afford to lose.

Three Hearts is a slow-burn, emotionally charged, friends to lovers, bi-awakening MMF romance that will leave you breathless. Previously published as Delectable, it is the first story in the Rule of Three series and can be read as a standalone.

By day Ann Grech lives in the corporate world and can be found sitting behind a desk typing away at reports and papers or lecturing to a room full of students. She graduated with a PhD in 2016 and is now an over-qualified nerd. Glasses, briefcase, high heels and a pencil skirt, she’s got the librarian look nailed too. If only they knew! She swears like a sailor, so that’s got to be a hint. The other one was “the look” from her tattoo artist when she told him that she wanted her kids initials “B” and “J” tattooed on her foot. It took a second to register that it might be a bad idea.
She’s never entirely fit in and loves escaping into a book—whether it’s reading or writing one. But she’s found her tribe now and loves her MM book world family. She dislikes cooking, but loves eating, can’t figure out technology, but is addicted to it, and her guilty pleasure is Byron Bay Cookies. Oh and shoes. And lingerie. And maybe handbags too. Well, if we’re being honest, we’d probably have to add her library too given the state of her credit card every month (what can she say, she’s a bookworm at heart)!
She also publishes her raunchier short stories under her pen name, Olive Hiscock.

I'm really uneasy to review this book when I didn't finish it. It was my first book by Ann Grech and I don't know if her books are all the same as Delectable but the writing didn't worked me for at all. This could be a case of "It's me, not you" so if you find the blurb appealing, give this one a try, at least with the sample.

The book is told in third person which is not favorite. I always have a hard time getting into the story, I feel less involved but sometimes it suits the story and it works well, here not so much.
I felt the writing to be cold; I don't know how to explain it. It felt distant. It was a lot of thoughts with barely conversations. And once again I prefer books with more interactions between all parties involved.

My main problem connecting with Levi, Connor & Katy was how their friendship was never explained. It was already there and I never saw how they all bonded together. Why Levi is with Katy and not with Connor,? What happened when they met? Wwhere the attraction comes from? It was like I was dropped in the middle of a situation and I had to figure out what was happening. I get the characters were confused about their feelings (even if to me it was a little too soon, too quick) I never understood what they share or what they've shared in the past.

Wow...i seriously dont know where to begin with this review.

Connor has felt like the black sheep all his life, always waiting to be rejected by those he cares for, but when his best friend introduces him to his new girlfriend Connor falls and falls hard. Instead of giving temptation a chance he does the only thing he can think he joins the Army.

Levi has always thought of Connor as a brother who when left orphaned fought tooth and nail to keep him under the same roof. But when he meets Katy and sees how much she gets along with Connor he doesnt get jealous he gets envious, until one day Connor drops a bombshell he enlisted.

Katy has loved Levi for ever. Her, Levi and Connor are inseparable that is until Connor gets deployed.

6 years later battling war wounds, PTSD and just tired from fighting Connor finally returns to his home, Levi and Katy.

But its not smooth sailing they are battling inner demons, stigmas and their feelings. This isnt a love triangle gone bad this is love in the most rawest, passionate state and about people who fight anything and anyone to make sure they get their delectable happily ever after

MMF long time no see😉!
Though a very enjoyable read the book does need a little more finesse. Loved the three main protagonists. All of them had big hearts and scorching chemistry. I loved the dynamics between them. Definitely not my last read from this author. Loved the angst and the ending.
Recommended.

Safety- There is a semi intimate scene with ow before they all are in a relationship.

Oh my days !!!
This book is so;
Delectable
Delicious
Dirty
Damn good

What a well written, well balanced, beautifully slow burning story.
The denial, guilt and finally acceptance of each characters feelings
gives this story so much angst.
The author gave so much background story and character development that
at times l was desperately sad and then terribly anxious.

A young Connor having lost his parents, gets taken in by Levi's family.
The two boys become best friends who grow up together and become inseperable.
Katy meets the two boys at Uni, and all three become very close.
By this time Connor is aware that his feelings for both Levi and Katy have changed,
watching his two best friends fall in love and be together has become too hard for him.
Knowing he cannot have them both, yet cannot stand and watch their love develop, makes Connor run.

Connor joins the military, wanting to escape his heartache,
he finds himself in a hellish situation, yet he finds true friendship and family.
After six years of fighting , and losing so many good friends he is discharged.
Connor is all alone again, with the added stress of PTSD, he has only one place to go.

Levi and Katy have an idyllic life, they both have amazing careers,
and continue to be totally happy and in love.
What neither of them is admitting, is that they both miss Conner desperately,
they both realise that he has a very special place in each of their hearts.
When Conner returns to them , they are both extremely happy to have him back.

However, Connor is still in love with them both,
listening to them make love, and watching them be intimate is breaking his heart.
The deep attraction , and sexual tension between all 3 characters is off the charts.
Levi's denial of his physical reactions to being near Connor,
Katy's dreams of all of them together , especially Levi with Connor is so damn hot.
Connor keeps running , until Levi steps up and stops him, then questions him.

What happens next, is sure to leave you in tears, and anxious about their future.
With loyal friends, homophobic family , the media and even the church
we are taken on a roller coaster of an emotional ride.

A thoroughly enjoyable, very hot , and emotional book.
l loved it.

An ARC was given.

An endearing MMF romance where the road to true love never runs smoothly. I couldn’t help feel that Katy was a third wheel as Levi’s and Connor’s arc was predominately the main focus. However, I did enjoy it.

I really liked the concept going into the book but sadly the book didn't work for me. The characters were getting on my last nerve with all of their angst and by the 85% mark I just gave up because I was bored out of my mind.

Awesome

I am awed! This book was amazing, it's not a light read but the story...Its a ore accurate portrayal of a new Poly relationship.

The ups and downs, the supporters and the detractors. It's about melding three lives when not only is there adversity but also inner turmoil on each characters parts. It's about making decisions on who stays and who goes from your life and finding out who your real loved ones are.

This book had everything. Drama, romance, adversity, plus very hot steam. Of course, there is a good HEA.

This was my first foray into the author's writings. Not my last for sure. Ann Grech is very talented, who writes great stories you can connect with as the characters are believable and feel real.

Loved it. It was sweet watching the characters realize they were in love. The showing of each other's insecurities and wanting to run kind of made them actually fight for it more. I love a good old fashioned love story where people overcome norms to just love despite the hardship. The fact that they fight for what they want. I highly recommend it.

Slow and meticulous in developing the characters, yet keeps a simmering heat going throughout.
Perhaps the female character is less rounded out, in comparison to the more full background stories of the two male characters. However, the self questioning on the part of all three, the unavoidable attraction and depth of their feelings towards each other, and the very realistic reaction portrayed of those around them is delved into and pulled out of their hearts with tact and comprehension.
Full of raw feels and various heated moments

*~~*ARC kindly provided by the author to me in exchange for an honest review *~~*

This was quite different than the other books by Ann Grech but nontheless super hot. This story is about Levi, Katy & Connor who find a way to have a satifying relationship in a threesome, their ménage is challanged throughout the book but at the end, the obstcales are gone and their happy end after is there.

I really loved how we go right into the book. The descriptions were pretty graphic, the scenes right before the reader's eye and the end of the first part of the first chapter leaves you a bit devastated but gave you a great insight of a problem which is constanlty there in the book. The grief and loss is a constant companion for Connor and it is hard to come to rest when he comes home.

Levi and Katy are his shelter, but he can't help himself and feel guilty.

The emotions are a cocktail, made of different layers, so complex yet all three character's emotions and mixed feelings are reasonable. They have all their right to feel different, right to struggle their own way with it.

During the book, it comes clear that not only Levi and Katy, but also Conner and Levi and Conner and Katy complete each other, and this dynamics is the reason they realise their happines lies in the connection of being together - all three of them.

The book is full of events, full of internal and external strugglings and interferences but at the end, it shows that true feelings can't be destroyed. And they all comes out stronger.

The switching in the POV is making the book even more thrilling and give an insight of each of the character's emotions and feelings.

I really liked the hot, smoking scenes, and between the sexy encounter, you see the emotions, they are palpable, truly visible and it's beautiful how Levi, Katy and Conner find their own way in making it work.

A pretty different book than those we are know from Ann Grech but so well worth to grab it. If you are into MMF stories, you should really taka a look. :)

4.5 out of 5 stars for this. Pretty intriguing with all the events going on, the multi POV, switching between the three maincharacter and everthing spiked with hot sex scenes.

Happy ever after!

I was sure hoping for a happily ever after, but she sure did throw me a few times. This book was pretty good and I didn’t want to put it down. NOT AT ALL! I loved the story from all three perspectives. The love really came through and just carried you away on the story rooting for the best ending for this threesome.

I'm always so eager to get my hands on Ann Grech's books so I knew I would love it.
But nothing prepared me for just how good this book is. Ann's writing has developed and matured into this superb story.
Connor, a boy left orphaned is taken in by his best friend, Levi's family but never gets over his feelings of being left out, rejected. Levi always has his back and their friendship is rock solid as the grow up, until Levi introduces Connor to his girlfriend, Katy.
Levi always considers Connor his brother, his best friend and nothing could break them apart. When he introduces Connor to his best friend things start to change as Katy embraces Connor into her life and a solid friendship is born. Until one day Connor leaves them, enlists in the army and out of their lives for six long years.
Katy loves Levi with everything she has but she didn't bargain on her feelings for Connor.

Six years later battle scarred and suffering from PTSD, Connor returns to them.
What we get next is the subtle weaving of lost loves redeveloping, Ann has made these characters so real and so lovable you want nothing more than for them to own up to their feelings.
What happens when they do has a knock on effect on the lives of their groups of friends and family. Are they strong enough to survive?
You'll have to read it to find out, don't miss out on this amazing book.

Two's company but three is even hotter!! Friends since they were kids, Connor and Levi were in love with the same girl... Connor left to join the army and returned years later to find that home is definitely where the heart is; and his heart was with his two best friends Levi and Katy. The chemistry between all three is electric; there's is a slow burn that builds and builds... the angst and anguish is felt by all three of them at different times, all wanting the same thing but no-one is brave enough to make the first move!! Damn this story was hot, hot, hot... with tear jerking moments and a whole lot of love and laughter in the mix! A must read for all readers of ménage, love, angst and acceptance!! Ann you have done it again, this was a beautiful book and the start of a fabulous series I have no doubt xx

Three Times The Love

This is a difficult one to rate and review as I did enjoy some aspects of the story but I’ve given three stars as I found the writing style difficult to get through. Unfortunately it just didn’t flow well for me and I often felt confused and needed to backtrack and reread sections. This is a no communication trope which leads to some repetitive drama and angst.

The three main characters are all long time friends, two being an established couple and they’ve all secretly loved each other but haven’t spoken about if for fear of losing what relationships they have. The story is set on the east coast of Australia which I loved. This was a first time read of this author and I will give her another try.

It was ok. I found it difficult to follow the characters. First it was solidifying who was who then just keeping track of who was the subject of the paragraph. The story changed perspective multiple times within a chapter. Every once and a while I thought The characters offers got mixed up, still not sure if they did or not.
The pace was ..slow burn, I guess. The first half of the book took forever to get through. Once they all got together, things moved quickly and new storylines were made.
There was a lot of running away, "s/he wants you, I'll just leave ", repeatedly. It got old.

Connor has a great friendship with Katy and Levi. The couple both want to help and support Connor on his return from combat.
Connor broke my heart... His pain felt real and portrayed in a realistic manner that gave me all the feels.
Each of the friends are struggling with their feelings and the rising tension within the group.
Can Katy and Levi come to terms with their feelings for someone else?
Will it break up their existing relationship?
Will Connor bring them all closer together or tear them apart??

this book really just isn’t for me. the writing style and the general storyline just made me bored and wasn’t really for me. on top of it just generally not being my thing, it was told in third person point of view, something i notably dislike and struggle to get through, as it just kind of pushes me out of the story. this is potentially my issue and not the books, but i thought i’d make my opinion clear anyway.

I had a hard time getting through this book. Just not very steamy and couldn’t connect with the threesome. Really wanted to, but I got a little frustrated with the struggle they had to be in the relationship. People who supposedly loved each other so much for most of their lives not be able to talk to one another about their feelings, not so much my cup of tea.

It was hard to read at times. My kindle didn’t pick up on chapters. It was supposed to be multiple POVs but it was kind of off. I liked the story but it took a long time to develop. Also needs to come with a slang word disclaimer for some folks.

This one was an adventure for me, not having read very many MMF books. I really enjoyed it.

Connor is a veteran of the Afghan war, and he is home in Australia for the first time in several years. He suffers from severe PTSD after watching one of his closest friends die in front of him. Levi and Katy are his closest friends - but what they don't know is they are the reason he left. He couldn't bear to watch them together - being madly in love with Katie. While he was gone, both Katy and Levi realized that they cared more for him than they realized. They both felt like he filled a hole in their relationship they hadn't even known was there.

Both Connor and Levi struggled to accept the part of themselves that attracted them to each other, both believing themselves to be straight. Throughout the story all three characters struggle with their fears of being the "third wheel" in the relationship, as well as fearing society's judgement. To make matters worse, Levi has a high-profile job and if rumors got out that he was in such an unconventional relationship - or even if the public were to suspect he was gay, he could lose his dream job.

The story covers the ups and downs of their struggles to accept themselves, and their realization that the love they have for each other is what matters - and society's expectations don't mean anything to them.

I loved the idea of this book - the idea that three people can actually be in a loving, supportive relationship that isn't weird or deviant. It was bittersweet though, realizing how far our society actually is from being accepting of this kind of love. In the end though, I love the optimism this book represents: love is what matters and bending to the arbitrary rules of society don't bring happiness or peace to anyone.

As far as menages go, this by far has been one of my favourites.

Connor, Katy and Levi story was hot yet the story line was more than just three people coming together.
Connor has always been in love with his best friend's girl Katy, their friendship is one of those that only come once in a lifetime and few get the chance to have. Connor knows there is no way he can stay and watch Levi and Katy's love blossoming, the risk of acting on his emotion is far greater than fighting a war, so he simply enlists, and leaves them both behind. After years of being away, Connor unfortunately finds that distance has only made his heart grow fonder, and he is not only missing Katy but is desperate to see Levi again. Returning home to his friends, only brings back those emotions and hidden feelings tenfold, and soon Connor isn't the only one struggling to keep his distance. Is like suddenly a lot of things make sense to Connor but also scares the hell out, war seems easy compare to the turmoil he is experiencing.
Although, Ann gives us different POV's I kind of loved Connor's character hence I am writing this from his side. As much as I loved the steamy encounters (and believe me they were scorching hot), I enjoyed the meaningful storyline surrounding this book, It does put into perspective the trials and tribulations one can go through when falling for 2 people and not only that, two people of different gender.
You will never look at another OREO cookie the same way after reading this book! LOL

Ann, thank you for allowing me to read this story!

MFM internal struggle romance

Three Hearts is more about the internal struggles of proposing a threesome and dealing with the personal and relationship judgement of society than the kinky activities three people can get up to. It is not as intensely steamy as most MFM books I have read. In this book, the main characters are all deciding they want to be with more than one person but are all afraid of the judgement that would come from such a taboo arrangement. Levi also has some internal issues with his sexuality as well. The characters battle with themselves about being with two other people and if they will still be a part of the other two’s relationship.
The storyline has a weird pace. Sometimes it skips ahead months at a time and alludes to dates and nights spent together. Others times there are a few chapters about an evening. The characters all have well written internal monologue, but it doesn’t pull you into the struggle of finding and expressing love. You are introduced to one of the main character in the next book, so the series should mesh well.

Sweet

For a story involving a soldier, a sports player, and a baker, there's little of the usual tropes. It's a nice change. She's not a walking Mary Sue cupcake, the soldier isn't an alphahole, and the sports player isn't a jockhead. They're all normal people who just happen to have those careers. The touch of the past, giving readers the foundation for their relationship was well done. It didn't feel like an abrupt jump then, because insta-love is just...eh. I like that we get inner monologues for emotional insights as well as dialogue. Although, some of the contrived miscommunication tropes were heavily used here. Not in a ridiculously tortured way but still. One of them has been in therapy, at least they know how important communication is in a relationship. Any relationship. The biggest issue I have with the story is the "villain". They are never really mentioned until they show up, make a stink, turn the whole family on end, and then just sort of disappear again. It would have been better to have them mentioned in the background a bit more.

Good Book

This is a nice slow burn romance between Connor, Katy & Levi.
Connor and Levi have been best friends since they were 5 and Katy is Levi’s girlfriend but Connor has been in love with Katy & Levi so left to join the army as it broke his heart he couldn’t have them.
The book starts on Connor’s last deployment and he comes home with PTSD and Levi & Katy welcome him with open arms.
As you can guess Connor loves them both but won’t say anything for fear of rejection and Katy wants both guys but is scared to say anything and Levi wants both Katy & Connor but is scared to say anything.
It’s a nice romantic story with 3 people who love each other passionately the her brother, father and a lot of the outside world give them grief and call them names.
Other than when Connor is on deployment and the time they are outed there isn’t lots of tragedy or drama just nice loveable characters who are in love outside of the norm and having to deal with the haters.
