Doctor Aphra's had a plan to auction off an artificial Jedi intelligence to make some major credits. Unfortunately, things haven't exact gone according to plan…Darth Vader is back and our Rogue Archaeologist is less dead than he thought he left her.
I *think* we have finally made it to the end of the Immortal Rur story arc. Of course, they postured the conclusion is a way that leaves the door cracked... so, we shall see.
I will say that is has been an amazing journey if this is true, but at the same time I am ready for something new and fresh with Aphra!
Rur is a tough act to follow, but if one man can do it - it's Gillen. Dude's a maniac, and I say that in the most endearing way possible.
The outcome of the duel was predictable. I was really annoyed that Vader sensed Aphra's presence yet did not pursue her. And Palpatine's face is drawn horribly. (Not the type of horrible that it should be.) I am really curious about the artifacts that Palpatine has, but I worry that we may not find out more about them anytime soon.
Might have taken its job as an arc-closer too seriously. While the conclusions for most of the characters is good, it doesnt feel special so much as though they were trying to get it done with. Good not great. (couodnt stand the way Palpatine was drawn.)
Not bad. Entertaining without being spectacular. The expected showdown set up in the previous issue was fun to watch. And the ending on multiple planets was appropriate. Closure accomplished.
