While Linda struggles on death's door and Frank struggles to save her, sinister forces are at work to carry out the final stages of Omar's plans. Only with the help and connections of Linda's old friend Sarah will they have any chance of discovering and thwarting the plan, though they face greater adversities with each step of their journey. Frank Richards has been an accountant for most of his life, but when the economy took a turn for the worse he was forced to take the only job he could find - driving tractor-trailers cross-country. Thanks to his parents being dyed-in-the-wool prepper and survival experts he's learned enough to keep him alive. If he wants to make it from Maine to Texas, though, he'll have to figure out how to get along with the mysterious stranger that he's picked up along the way. With skills as strange as her background, Linda's far more prepared than Frank to survive in a fallen world. But in a world with no safety, no security and no sanctuary it takes more than one person to survive.
No Sanctuary is a post-apocalyptic thriller/survival series that asks the "what if" question that lurks in the back of everyone's mind. What if there was another attack? What if it was larger than any other? What would you do if it came without warning?
No Sanctuary is planned to be a series that will contain 7 novel-length books, published once every 4-6 weeks.
This is a short installment on the series, which is a bit of a mixed spy thriller, post-apocalyptic piece. It is also kind of pre-apocalyptic, since the main characters are trying to stop a worse disaster from unfolding. I look forward to the next book.
The Tempest is the fourth book in the No Sanctuary series. This can be read as a standalone but should not be. It will make more sense if you have read the first three books plus it has a cliffhanger ending. There is a lot of violence, it is an apocalyptic thriller, so it might not be suitable for more sensitive readers.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. This is an apocalyptic thriller filled with people trying to survive in a country gone crazy. This story includes a lot of twists and turns. As usual, everything is not as it seems. I look forward to reading more of this series.
I received a copy of this book from the author and chose to leave a review for other readers.
Mike Kraus does it again with another action-packed installment of his No Sanctuary Series. Frank and Linda continue to try to thwart the remaining terrorist plan to destroy America and those still alive within. A frightening story in its own right considering how plausible the storyline is, only now they not only have a line to Sarah and decent information, but two more cohorts have joined them in their quest.
Really enjoyed this book. Only thing i would have liked to see is more of the characters' relationships. There was so much action that it seemed the dialogue between the main characters wasnt as developed as in past books. However the action/thriller aspect really drew me in. Looking forward to the next one.
I just wanted to let you know that I am not one to get antsy about a book. Usually I read them and wait patiently for the next one. However, when I got to the ending sort of I wanted to cry. I'm not going to throw a hissy fit. But I do have to say well done. Your writing keeps me captivated, I can't believe I just said that, no really it is a great read. Thank YOU
Another action-packed book Frank and Linda continue to try to stop the terrorists plans to destroy America. They know have the help of Linda’s friend Sarah. We meet some new characters, who join forces with Frank and Linda... this book was good it was more action-packed than the others were. Onto the next book
Getting to know you. The characters are just beginning to know themselves and each other. Frank and Linda could end up as one of my favorite couples if they both live. Another one of those books that is beginning to sound truer than fiction. Read on people we have a lot to learn.
A little slow at times but still a page turned down to earth but plausible and definitely a possible reality couldn't put it down and burned through three looks in the series in three days. You should get this and the others in this series.
I have the box set of this series and this episode is filled with action and suspense. I don't particularly like the soldier stuff and would rather it be individual survival, however, it does suit this twist of events.
Linda and Frank are good characters to follow and fit well into the story.
Linda and Frank have made a great team. At first Linda took the lead. After the situation changed and Frank took over. Linda was quite surprised what Frank was capable of. She was thankful, he took care of her, also.
