D.P. Davidson enjoys writing young adult fiction. Her stories come in various ways and she is happy at every new inspiration. The writing process gives life to her characters, and she is thankful for the opportunity she has to share her work with others. She once jumped off of a bridge because everyone else was doing it. While it seemed like a good idea at the time, she advises against it. She has a knack for finding herself in absurd situations, so she's learned not to take herself too seriously. She has also learned to find the humor in her daily misadventures and has taught her children to do the same. She has home-schooled her four children for the last seven years, a choice she says is not for everyone. She has spent the last eighteen years trying to get a laugh out of her husband. He has yet to crack. She loves her dog Gus even though he's a big doofus and has attempted a garden every year for the last eighteen years. This season was her first successful attempt.

In her compelling style, Davidson invites the reader to accompany Kale on her treacherous journey. In a world where her psychotic step father has accelerated his narcisstic and murderous campaign for power, the heroine has gathered a small army of her own to stop him once and for all. But even when surrounded by her allies, Kale must lead by the light of lonely intuition. In this sequel page-turner, Davidson explores the truth that we are all either limited or liberated by the thoughts we hold tightest to in our minds. That is where the most important battles are fought and won. And while her quest is just and needful, it is not without pain and betrayal.

When I loose myself in a story, and am taken on an emotional journey with the characters, I know I have found a great book. That happened for me here. I loved this book. The story is well written and gripping. It delves deeper into the twisted mind of The General, and what that means for Kale and all those trying to stop The General's growing wake of destruction. I HIGHLY recommend Push Back for anyone looking for page-turning suspense, and/or just a great read overall.

I won this through Goodreads. Page turner from the beginning with an amazing ending. I really appreciated the perspective of life not always turning out the way you want it to, but learning to see that there is a bigger picture in the works and that all you can do is your best.

In my opinion, PUSH & PUSH BACK should be one book - not two! They/it also need a good editing. That being said, I loved the characters and the story. Very fast read. Do not give up.
