I have no issues with reading a series of books, however, I expect each book to be complete with a beginning a middle and an end. In other words, chopping one book into multiple parts and calling it a novella is not what I expect from an author. This story, Extraordinary Devotion, begins in the middle of a story. You have to have read the prior "books" in the series in order to understand what has happened. The author makes no effort to recap the prior information except in the most superficial manner. I will not be reading the remainder of these "novellas" in this series due to this practice.
