It was supposed to be one night of magic, but now I’ll risk everything to see my prince charming again.
Ella By fifteen I learned a hard lesson that life is no fairy-tale and I'm no princess. When I was smuggled into America, I became a slave for a cruel woman who wouldn't think twice about selling me to the black market. When she goes out of town, I know setting up a dating app profile makes no sense. I know it's dangerous and foolish. But I can't spend the rest of my life wondering what I'm missing. I was supposed to get lost in the fantasy, not his eyes. Not his tall, muscular body that makes my body clench in ways I've never felt before. In places I've never been touched by any man. I'm not the kind of girl who gets a happily ever after. So, why am I willing to risk everything to see him again?
Jackson After I was discharged from the SEALs I was badly broken but a child saved me. MY child saved me. Now I’m a single Dad doing my best to raise my daughter. I thought I was finally happy, I thought I was complete. Until I saw her. Ella. It was an amazing date until I ruined everything. I pushed her too fast — too hard and she ran away. It’s like she just disappeared. I can’t stop until I find her. It may have taken an instant, but I know there was something real between us. And I won’t stop scouring the earth until I find her.
*** Tinder Ella is a 53k word steamy STANDALONE contemporary romance with no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.***
Eddie Cleveland is an Amazon bestselling author who, after over a decade of military service, took a chance on his dream and wrote his first book. Since publishing his debut novel in 2016, he has soared to the top of the best-seller list several times in multiple categories. Now Eddie is living his passion of writing full time.
His characters are so realistic you'll wonder if you've known them your entire life. These aren't just interchangeable, faceless men. These book boyfriends will seize a piece of your heart forever. Each book drags you into a world of lighthearted laughter, heart wrenching romance and sizzling sexual tension that holds you captive until the last word.
After leaving the military, Eddie found his perfect place by the sea—a small East Coast town. Now, he's living his dream with the love of his life, their adorable little girl, and their goofy golden retriever, who reminds them that life is better with wagging tails and slobbery kisses.
Don't let the silly title fool you. This book starts on such a sad and serious note. Actually all around there are sad circumstances. This story is all about digging out from the worst of situations, finding hope and family, home and love. There was a bit of comic relief whenever Jackson mentions being a SEAL, which never failed to make me laugh. His story started off heartbreaking but his daughter saved him. Ella's story was terribly sad and she didn't have an easy life. I'd say Jackson set out to save her and be her prince as well but she also needed to save herself. This was beautifully written and I definitely shed a few tears. Near the end I shared a bit of Ella's paranoia that something bad would happen. Oh don't worry- there are also some seriously steamy scenes as well! I received an arc of this.
Kindle 699 pages? Mr. Cleveland kindly included 'The Woodsman's Baby (The Woodsman, #3)', hence the number of pages. I liked it. I especially liked the beginning and for those who believe in a higher power, it may be inspirational. It lightly covered the real-life issue of the slave trade. Its flow read easily. Okay enough nice...it wasn't a wow read for me. Sex Hell yeah, though.
Stay healthy and wishing you much hapenis. I stole that, use your phonic skills. May change a shelf name to that.
Jackson was not expecting how they would be answered. His little girl Chloe came into his life just in time to keep him from committing suicide. The anguish he felt witnessing the deaths of his fellow SEAL brothers was just too much to bear. He had what I call a severe case of survivors' remorse. Chloe gave him a reason to live.
Likewise, Jackson came into Ella's life just in time to save her life and give her a reason to live for the first time since her entire family was murdered. In addition, Ella gave new meaning to life for Jackson.
Eddie wrote a story that was heart breakingly full of anguish. I could feel the emotions Jackson felt going through that last PTSD episode. I could also feel the fear Ella felt watching her family being murdered before her eyes and being taken advantage of my Sylvia and Raymond. It was also a relief to read of both Jackson and Ella's HEA they so desperately needed and deserved.
Watching how Ella came to be . . .her struggles, her pain, her sadness, her life. She had little and much at the same time. Jackson was given a chance to live for the first time in many years. He got that first chance a year before. The n again when meeting Ella. I loved his mom, daughter, and of course Ryan. I wonder when its his turn. It was nice getting a small glimpse at some other characters from previous books.
Loved this story; I have read all of this author's books and relished each one, but this twist on Cinderella astonished me as a whirlwind of emotional goosebumps slammed into me. As a male writer who spent twelve years in the Navy away from the comfort of home and I do appreciate that he served; he writes with a soulful passion that makes his stories memorable and irresistible. I have read quite a few sultry Cinderella stories but this one surpasses them all; it's not about a castle, a princess or a prince it's about genuine characters that will melt your heart leaving you satisfied at the end wanting more.
Inside this story; engaging characters, camaraderie, family love, drama, gripping suspense, pent-up emotions, fun times, backstories that give insight to the characters and a wondrous happy ever after that all of us want.
Jackson was content with his life as Navy Seal but then the unthinkable happened in a fleeting moment when a bomb on deployment blew his dreams away. Feeling useless and alone he no longer wanted to live until he learns he has a daughter who fills his life with joy. Ella a beauty and a slave to a heartless woman finds peace when she meets Jackson, but fear sends her dashing away from him. Jackson is determined to find the woman who holds his heart captive.
An awe-inspiring story that draws you in as the author seduces you with crystal-clear scene descriptions; a true page-turner. The delightful humor had me laughing, emotional moments left me misty-eyed and the heavenly passionate romance that sets the pages afire left me breathless. Jackson and Ella are more than convincing as a couple totally devoted to each other. Jackson's adorable daughter will definitely charm you with her cute antics. Elation filled my heart with joy at the happy ending. If you treasure twists on fairytales this is a fabulous book for your library. I loved this story so much (I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy.} Without, reservations, I recommend this book.
“We like to talk about the phoenix that rose from the ashes, stronger and more beautiful. That’s fucking bullshit. That fire took everything from me....”
I look forward to Eddie Cleveland’s stories. He writes with such a passion and conviction, bringing struggling men to their knees only to be made stronger. Tinder Ella is no different. Jackson Wilcox, a former SEAL, suffers some severe PTSD. As we meet him, he is ready to end it all, to give up the fight and find his moment of peace, even though he is begging for God to spare him, to bring him a sign. And a sign he is given. Jackson life takes a turn, giving him a reason to find strength and be an example—his daughter. But life has more in store for him when his buddy sets him up on Tinder.
Ella was smuggled into the US after losing her family to the Usaga Clan in Colombia. But the US was not necessarily a place for Ella to find freedom. Instead, Ella became a slave to a woman who promised to take care of her. Living in constant fear that she may be sent in to the underbelly of the sex slavery trade. But in a moment of weakness—or complete courage—she takes her friend’s advice and meets the man with whom she found a match on Tinder. Sneaking out of the house and meeting Jackson, Ella is immediately drawn to Jackson, finding comfort in his presence.
After their first date, Ella disappears, leaving Jackson wondering if he will even find the woman that has captured his interest and left behind a valuable item. Willing to risk it all to find the ring she has lost, Ella ventures back to the location of their date. There she find Jackson and the item that means so much. Willing to risk it all, Ella decides to spend a bit more time with Jackson. But once again Ella runs, leaving Jackson to question what she is hiding. Once Jackson discovers there is more to her story, he vows to help her.
Tinder Ella is a sweet story about finding hope and rising above the tragedy that life can hold. I loved the two characters and their chemistry. My only criticism is that there was an underlying story to unfold in regard to Sylvia, the woman who held Ella captive. The details surrounding this event and the ease in which the story concluded left me wanting more. Regardless, Eddie is still a go to author for me with his Alpha males who find strength through grit and his female characters who compliment his male characters and often show their own resilience and grit along the way.
Tinder Ella is a modern spin on the old classic Cinderella. It got it's name based on how the love interests meet.
This story deals with some very serious issues like suicide, depression, human trafficking, modern day slavery, immigration, death and parenthood. The characters really have their work cut out for them.
We meet the hero, Jackson with a gun in his hand as he contemplates suicide. He is a veteran who lost most of his comrades and feels his life is not worth living. He really doesn't want to pull the trigger and prays to God for a sign. When his phone rings, informing him that an old ex has passed away leaving her child in his care, it is just what he needed. It turns out he has a three year old daughter who needs him. He's scared, but he steps up to raise her.
Our heroine, Ella is in a tight spot when we meet her. She is hiding under her mother's bed listening to her being gang raped by Columbian mafia members as her brothers are forced to watch. The mobsters eventually slaughter her family. Her father finds the 15 year old and sends her to America via a coyote to save her life. This puts her in a home as a modern day slave where she is kept on a short leach and treated like trash.
A chance meeting on Tinder brings these two lonely people together. Their chemistry is unmatched and a whirlwind affair ensues. Their relationship is a little rushed and Jackson was very quick to introduce Ella to his gem of a daughter Chloe. Chloe is a sweet little girl who brings joy to everyone she meets.
Things come full circle after Ella faces a crisis that threatens to take her away from her new family. HEA is the name of the game. This was a good read about important topics that we are facing in today's world. Good job.
"When was the last time I really slept? It’s all a haze. Ever since the night our Humvee got hit. I just can’t keep the days and weeks and months straight anymore. I had a promising career in the SEALs, where I was shooting up the ranks, surrounded by the best men I’ve ever known. Then, all my dreams, my future, my entire f****ng life, it all blew up and burned in the fiery explosion of the IED. As the flames ripped through our armored vehicle, as they sizzled across Heinkel’s flesh, killing him, they destroyed us.
They say things are forged by fire. We like to talk about the phoenix that rose from the ashes, stronger and more beautiful. That’s f****ng bullshit. That fire took everything from me. My brothers. My career. And now, my life."
So, spoiler but here's the trigger warning list: suicidal intent, deaths, violence, threat of sexual violence, and human trafficking. Oh, and insta-love, but that matches the fairy tale. I'm ok with people healing together from trauma, so this didn't scare me off.
I normally enjoy an escapist smutty read by this author, but some parts of this one irked me. The descriptions of Ella delighted in calling her thick, plump, fat, jiggling - and that she was barely allowed to eat where she lived. Ummm...?
Even as a running joke, Jackson's proclamation of being a Navy SEAL every few pages wore thin. The expected conflict wrapped up far too readily, and they both need therapy of some sort other than boning to heal from personal trauma.
I'll still pick up more from this author, but won't reread this one.
Ella has lived a very tough life, first of all witnessing her whole family get murdered right above her from where she hides, second being smuggled into the US and working for free for the past 6 years. Ella feels this is the best life will ever get for her as her keepers warn her of what can and will happen if she doesnt behave as they want. Jackson a man that has been through alot as well and is ready to end it all when he gets a sign, a daughter that will save his life and later a women who will complete him and his family.
What I enjoyed most about TinerElla is watching Ella finally get talked into doing something reckless for the first time in her life but it leads her to Jackson a man she has an instant connection with but knowing things would never work as there is lots he doesnt know and that she isnt a legal in the States. But she does stand up for herself and gets what she always wanted but there is someone there that will knock her down and she will have to be the strongest woman she can be.
This book is great, but everything Eddie writes is amazing and hooks you from the first page. This book has Ella a woman who at 15 lost everyone she loved and was smuggled to the US or else she would have had the same fate as her mother, Jackson a man who has lost his way ready to end it all but asking God for a sign in one he did get in the form of his own child he didnt know he had, Ella and Jackson meeting by chance and falling for each other not knowing how any of it would end, a love story. If you like stories like this, then TinderElla is a must!
This book starts off making your heart pound, already hooked to the story. Jackson is about to end it all. He's about to become a statistic, but fate has other plans for him. One phone call changes his life in ways he never imagined. Ella is a modern day Cinderella whose life was horrifically changed when she was just a young teenager. She lost everything she ever loved in one night and was forced into being a terrible woman's personal slave. That woman, Sylvia, is making her riches off the selling of young woman into slavery. I wish we could have seen her get her just desserts, but I believe she did "behind the scenes". The love between Jackson and Ella is so sweet and romantic. The found each other on Tinder and make a date for the carnival. They spend a fun date together and you can tell their connection is instant. Ella gets lost in the moment with Jackson and ends up missing important calls and texts from Sylvia thus ending her dream with Jackson. She has to break all ties with him or she could be sent back to Columbia, or worse. I don't want to spoil the rest. You'll just have to pick up Tinder Ella and find out how Ella and Jackson, and Chloe of course, get their HEA. It's a sweet one! I highly recommend this story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This is the 3rd book in the series and you don't need to read them in order. As a side note they do mention other MC's from the previous book.
This book had so much potential but I felt the story had too many holes in it. I think if the author could go back and make this a longer story this could end up being a fabulous book.
I'm not giving any spoilers because the synopsis goes into this. When Jackson felt he moved too fast and Ella ran away because of it he was upset. Then the next time he sees her he asks her to his house and has sex with her, WTF? Then Ella is so scared about being sold into slavery if she goes against the lady holding her captive but after she escapes and is in safety she has to go back to the house to get a picture of her family. Again WTF? There were too many of these items where I couldn't give this book 4 stars. Also the kink scenes were lacking. For some reason the words 'nectar' and 'peach pie' just grose me out and these words were used a lot.
I loved how the story started and how Jackson was broken and Ella was the Cinderella character. I could really see the Cinderella aspect in this story. I even loved Chole, she was so cute. I did get attached to the characters. I think this is why I was disappointed that the story was lacking.
As a side note I really do LOVE this author. I have read so many books from him and will continue.
I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this book, I really felt for Jackson, especially in the prologue. Jackson was a former Navy SEAL who had given up on life when he received a phone call telling him he had a daughter and her mother was killed in a car accident. Jackson took custody of Chloe and she became his reason to live. After about a year, a buddy from the SEALs came to visit and convinced him to try Tinder and find a date. When Jackson saw Ella, he was hooked and arranged to meet her. Ella was an illegal immigrant who was being held by a woman and being forced to be her maid. When Ella was left alone one weekend, her friend Julianna visited and set up a Tinder account where she was matched with Jackson. Jackson and Ella have an amazing date at a fair until Ella received a phone call from her captor saying they were coming home early. Ella flees hoping to get home first and leaves Jackson wondering what happened. Jackson vows to find her and see her again. This was an emotional book I really enjoyed. I though Chloe was adorable and I could see her in every little girl I know. Jackson really loved Chloe and he wanted Ella to be part of his family. Great one!
Jackson Wilcox is an Ex-SEAL whose tenuous existence finds new life when he learns about a daughter he never knew he had. His 3-year-old daughter Chloe’s mother dies in a car accident and Jackson learns that her will stipulates Chloe is to live with him. It’s instant love with his little girl and also clear she’s the center of his life.
But Jackson’s absent love life takes a turn when his good buddy from the military sets up a Tinder account for him. When he meets Ella he can’t deny that she stirs something in him. Her shyness and innocence bring out his protective instincts and needs to pursue her. Soon he learns there’s more behind Ella’s reluctance to share intimate details about her life.
Ella Garcia keeps secrets. She can’t risk sharing her past with Jackson because of the threat to her. For the past six years, her life is spent as unpaid servitude. Ella’s heart recognizes Jackson for the kind-hearted and protective man that he is. She decides she wants him in her life, and Jackson is the man she is willing to risk for love. I love the resolution to Ella’s dilemma and really enjoyed their story.
After Ella's family is murdered by a Colombian gang she is smuggled in to the us and put to work as a house slave. After her boss goes away for the weekend a friend introduces her to tinder....hence tinder Ella...get it??
She goes on a date with Jackson...
prior to finding out he had a 3 year old daughter was suicidal....after his team being attacked and suffering all manner of trauma. He is discharged from the navy seals.....he does mention this one or two or maybe...I don't know 7 times!
The story was ok... I just wish there was a bit more to it.. it felt rushed at times. I honestly don't know anyone who would introduce their child so quickly to a new love interest as fast as Jackson introduces Ella to his daughter.
And for someone who was concerned he rushed things 'kissing her the way he did' on the first date... he didn't waste anytime boinking her the next time he saw her and take her virginity.
Over all ok story if a little far fetched and dark TRIGGER WARNINGS ( suiciade attempt and gang rape )
Eddie Cleveland does it again with this story. He gives the readers, once again, well defined and developed characters that you can picture them in your minds eye. Jackson is an ex-SEAL who is on the brink. He is set to kill himself asking god for a sign - the phone rings and just like that Jackson's life is turned upside down in a good way and he is given a reason to go on - Chloe his 4yr old daughter. The introduction to Ella is no less emotion packed and scary. In order to save Ella he father sends her to the US via a friend who threatens Ella with being sold into sex slavery if she steps out of line. She is Sylvia's slave. When by chance the go onto Tinder at the same time and meet up at the pushing of their friends sparks fly but Ella can't risk Sylvia finding out. This was a wonderful interpretation of Cinderella for the modern world. You will feel Ella's emotions of fear, despair and hope after meeting Jackson. A book you will want to read. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
The plot for Jackson and Ella's story was good. Ex-Navy SEAL who is suffering severe PTSD who is asking for a sign from God because he as art the bottom in his life. He gets an answer to that plea. Ella has suffered part tragedy in her life and is currently still suffering it. That is until she meets Jackson, but is she willing to pay the ultimate price for a different life.
The reason I could not rage this any higher is because fist off was way too short, there needed to be more of a full story. Yes we get to the HEA, but it was too quick.
This is the third story in this series and out was my least favorite because I wanted a more in depth culmination. Our built up so well, then in a blink of an eye out finished way too quick. The strong characters deserved more. The plot was excellent, but the execution 75% in fell short...yes we got to the HEA, but it was way too quick in my opinion. I really like this author, but this one was hurried at the end.
Tinder Ella: A Modern Day Single Dad Fairy-Tale is such a great read. One of the things I loved most about this book is that although it is based on a fairytale it is firmly based in reality. I know that seems odd and wrong and even impossible but not with this book. Mr. Cleveland has cleverly created a powerful and moving romance. It showcases the awesomeness of love. How it can change us, heal us, help us and save us. The story focuses on Jackson, a veteran that is a single dad and Ella, a young woman that is treated like a slave after she was smuggled into the country illegally when she was just a child. Both of these characters are heartbreaking as both have suffered terrible tragedies in their past. When well meaning friends set them both up on Tinder, they match and the romance begins. It is a beautiful, emotional, modern and timely retelling of a classic fairytale. I am posting a honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.
Oh my days!!! Another record Mr Cleveland! You broke me in the first prologue!!! My heart literally shattered into a million pieces when I read that.........and then we meet Chloe......this little bundle of cute sassiness slowly helped put my heart back together. Jackson is going in blind when he discovers he has a daughter, already struggling himself, he wonders how he will manage......but for Chloe, he will try. Ella has experienced such traumas for someone so young.....confined to a life of servitude by her 'saviours', she sees no way out until her friend signs her up to Tinder........at the same time, Jackson's friend signs him up! What follows is an instant connection, my sore heart was happy. But the road isn't completely smooth, misunderstandings and unscrupulous people look to keep them apart......... This book!!! I could not put it down!! Love, love, love this book!!Please add this to your TBR!
This book touched on many themes and issues, and it really makes the reader consider what they would have done in similar situations. Our hero, a retired 'Navy seal' is ready to end his life when God sends him a message. His 'Seal' friend comes to stay a few days to visit and sets him up on, Tinder a dating app. And then things start to improve for Jackson. "And I have no regrets or lingering longing for my old life." "It's easy to get intimidated by the bustling crowd that's buzzing around from spot to spot like bees collecting nectar from the last flowers of the season." "I wish she could understand the surge of happiness she brings me." "Jackson leans into me, his lips brushing mine in a kiss as light as a whisper, as soft as a summer breeze. It's not the passionate, desperate kisses he's covered my lips with before. It's simple and sweet." A good book with a present-day fairytale twist.
Hero, Jackson = 5/5 Heroine, Ella = 5/5 Secondary Characters = 5/5 Chemistry = 4/5 Sex = 4/5 Plot = 5/5 Mystery = 2/5 Action = 2/5 Darkness = 1.5/5 Humor = 1.5/5 Stars = 4 ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Would I recommend this book = Yes Would I read future books by this author = Yes
Another amazing version of a wonderful fairy tale, Cinderella. I loved both characters all throughout. Jackson is very emotional and tries to be strong and funny to lighten the moods. Ella is so strong. What she goes through as a teen and throughout her young adult age is amazing. She definitely has more fight than me. The storyline is also awesome. The beginning was intense and when Chole is introduced to us she made the tale fun and bee-you-tiful.
The only thing that drove me crazy in this novella was Jackson mentioning that he was a Navy SEAL. I get he was making Ella laugh but there are others ways than repeating the same phrase over and over.
Eddie has done it again! This is a beautiful modern take on Cinderella, complete with a sexy ex SEAL and a heroine that looses a special item before running off to get home before curfew, there's even a special "princess" appearance. The first scene sucked me in and I couldn't put it down! Jackson is in a dark place in his life when a phone call turns his life upside down, but it isn't until a simple right swipe did he get a glimpse of how complete his life could become. A horrific event that lead to Ella being smuggled out of her country only to end up as household help/slave labor to the woman helped in her crossing, alone in a strange country...Until her friend, who's good with the Tinder app, goads her into a date. Immediate chemistry between Jackson and Ella makes you melt! And little Chloe, who couldn't love her? Major great read!
I LOVED this! If you only read one modern day fairy tale this is the one you must read!!!! Jackson is in a dark place after he leaves the SEALS. A daughter he didn't know he had changes his life and pulls him out of the darkness and becomes his world. Ella has lived through the murder of her family in Columbia and is now under the control of an nasty self-absorbed Hollywood socialite/human trafficker. She is forced to spend her days cooking and cleaning for no pay and the constant threat of being sold. A secret girls night with her friend leads to more than Ella could have ever hoped for. I don't want to spoil the story, but when Ella meets her Prince the sparks fly and they do what they need to be together. This is a faced paced, at times gut churning, super sexy love story that you won't be able to put down!!
Another winner for Mr. C! Follows the story of another Navy Seal from Conner and Gabe's unit, Jackson Wilcox. He's a veteran struggling with life after his deployment. He then gets one sign and his whole life turns around. Then a friend convinces him to join an online dating site and he gets a match with the beautiful titular protagonist, Ella. Ella has been struggling with the complexities of her life as well and her friend suggests she join the aforementioned dating site as well. After matching with Jackson right from the off, she agrees to go on a date with him. Ella wants to be with Jackson more than anything but feels that her situation precludes that from ever even being a possibility, much less a reality. To find out how Jackson and Ella find their HEA, join Tinder Ella today.
I read an ARC of this book but am voluntarily providing a review.
Especially Gripping start to an Excellent story!! – 4.5 stars
An amazing start as we experience the emotions of an ex-soldier as he is ready to take his life. He asks God for a sign; when his phone rings he learns he has a daughter. Boom!
Jackson becomes a caring father, later his friend encourages him to join Tinder and at least go out on a date. Ella watched her family be killed at age 16. She was smuggled into the US and now works in slave-like conditions for her ‘rescuer’. When a friend shows her how to sign up on Tinder a match is made.
These two each find something that is missing in their lives from their encounter. When Jackson realizes how Ella is living he becomes determined to help her. An enchanting story with humor, tension, a feisty daughter and a relationship worth fighting for.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
This should have been a frivolous story, just throw-away filler, a vehicle for naked fun times. But it's not. Somehow Cleveland made it both believable (because we know these kinds of bad things happen in the world) and a terrific premise for a romance novel (which tend to be a little more scrubbed up than real life). It's a tricky balance.
Jackson is troubled and compassionate and brave. Ella is generous and sweet and ever-optimistic. Jackson's daughter Chloe is just precious, with her open-hearted nature, her cut-to-the-chase mentality, and her passion for pony dolls.
I'll be honest, I shed tears reading this book. Just a couple, but still. I absolutely recommend this for anyone who's looking for a hot single dad, a woman who just needs a little boost to rescue herself, plenty of nudey time, and a great story.
This book is why I am such a fan of Eddie Cleveland! He is full of surprises! I love that Mr. Cleveland was able to take some of my favorite storylines bring them together in a uniquely modern way while adding in more of his signature twists! This Fairytale meets Navy Seal tale had me up till 1 A.M with its heart squeeze daddy dialogue ( I mean total #swoon #ovariesbursting material here ) suspenseful dark-tinged twists n turns and an oh so hot(I MEAN HOT) insta connection between Jackson and Ella. I. LOVED. IT! Every emotional heart twisting, Hotter than Hades, humorous suspense building moment. IMO Tinder Ella is 5 star one click-worthy! However, prepare to be thoroughly swooned, and possibly in need of a fan!
I am so glad I purchased this. It is such an emotional, heartwarming, heartwrenching story but it will make you laugh, smile, feel extra hot and oh so much more. Jackson is an ex Seal and is like a lost soul. He needs something in his life to ease his pain, give him something to live for and that’s when he finds out he has a daughter Chloe. Oh she is such a sweetie and so funny. But being a man, he has other needs and has to get out in the dating world. That’s when he meets Ella. Oh I could cry for Ella, the heartbreak she has been through but I think Jackson and Ella are meant to be. She has had a rough life and is still dealing with things every day . Oh I couldn’t read this story quickly enough it is so good. A story you won’t forget in a while. Loved it
This book begins at the lowest point of Jackson's life. So low, that he is set to commit suicide when the phone rings and stops him. He had asked God "If you're there, if you give a shit about me, give me a sign, God. I just need a sign that..." My voice quivers as hot tears fall over my cheeks and spill onto my hands. "That any of this gets better, That my life won't be this fog of anger and despair. That my dreams won't just be watching the men I love die. That this stops hurting so fucking much." 💔😭🙇
It's such a haunting scene and you just hope and pray that he gets the help he needs. It's a very well written book and the characters are amazing! 💖
Ella (of course) saw her mom and brothers get murdered in Colombia because her dad cheated the wrong people. She was able to hide from the killers then her dad shipped her to the US where his business associate made her a slave. She was kept quiet with the threat of becoming a sex slave and can't go to the authorities because she's an illegal.
The one friend she has works at the coffee shop where she get's her "boss" a coffee every day. The friend doesn't know her situation and convinces her to go on Tinder one day. She sets up a date with Jackson. They meet and sparks fly but she doesn't tell him about her situation either. Ella has to figure out how to get out of her situation and how much she can tell Jackson.
A modern take on a fairytale we all know so well. It’s a bit naughty, terribly tragic story of finding your love and moving on from your past.
Ella is a beautiful, young girl who finds herself in this country after her family is killed. She feels indebted to her “employer” but she’s treated as a slave. Escaping Columbia and coming to America, gave her a future. But the life she’s living isn’t much of one.
After a friend talks her into signing up for the Tinder app, she meets Jackson. Can he be her prince?
Ella finds a new, brighter future with Jackson and his daughter. A family and a home, something we all deserve. The journey is not always easy, but in the end, it’s worth it!
