This was such a great story. Loved the characters and live The Collins family. Slade is a hockey player who has had to many concussion and been hurt and is gonna give up hockey. He is taking his job back bartending at the Pub. Kori is the florist that is just down from the Pub. She spends all her time at the shop. When she meets Slade she thinks wow, hot!! Kori sometimes!mes doesn't have a filter and blurts everything out and then regrets it afterwards. I love it. Makes me laugh. This was such a great book. First by this author and definitely want more. Would love to see more if these two. Maybe a wedding book or leading towards the wedding, w and something with his dad. Love the Collins family and their stories. Always want moire of them.
This quick read is a romcom at it's best. Follow the quirky heroine Cori and the ex hockey rock star Slade. Trying to put his laugh back together when he's passed over for his final tryouts, Slade is licking his wounds when he sees the sweet red head he can't get out of his head.
Near misses, well,-meaning family and tricky friends make this a read you won't forget.
This romance is what happens when what life has planned for you is definitely different than what you planned. Slade’s hockey career is finally done. She is used to guys hitting on her cousin, not her. When Slade comes in to pick up flowers for a blind date, he is floored. He is immediately affected by her and her him. But it doesn’t come easy. I loved this author’s writing. It is described best as real. No one censers their thoughts, they say what they mean. It is romantic and fun. I cannot wait to pick up other books by this author.
