Every Love Story Is Beautiful, But Ours Is Hood 3: The Savage Brothers

Young hood drama
There is a lot of drama, twists, turns, suckin' & f@$kin' in this series..that's Ms Watkins thang! It's basically a very young hood drama with main characters aged 19-28, the oldest being 43. Very young people with a lot of money living the ghetto fabulous lifestyle. I like Jessica's books, although I wasn't feeling this read as much some of her others. It was entertaining although I was ready for it to be over! 🙃

With this book I was shocked and saddened, I even grieves with the Savage family at the loss of one of the young Savage Brothers. I was so glad when Bliss finally let her guard down and also devastated at the lost of Taraji’s baby... I love happy endings (except for poor Zoe) she never got her happily ever after. I look forward to hearing more from the Savages.

Those Savage bothers kept this story jumping. Plenty of drama as the fellas dealt with their love lives, death & revenge in a savage type of way. Happy for the couples that made it. Good ending to the series.

Why?
I normally love this author's writing. Her storylines are engaging. This series, not so much. It was all over the place. Zoe went from being completely loyal to Money, while he cheated, to being a secret thot, sexing half the men in the family.
I realize these books were released in 2017, so I'm a bit late. I'm disappointed with most of the characters and truly saddened by the money bliss connection because in my opinion, they were not a good match at all. I skipped almost every part that included her, and hoped that when time came for the author to kill off one of the brothers, it would be money, but for some unfathomable reason, she opted to kill one of the twins.
Then, if that wasn't bad enough, this same writer, made Zoe the bad guy, who committed suicide, just so she could add bliss, an incredibly useless, pointless character. REALLY???
Yes, this trilogy disappointed me. Please do not write about these characters again unless it's to finally kill off money like it should have gone, and bring Zoe back after getting her life straight, and get her baby from that horrible family.
The character who least grated on my nerves was Shon, and he was the only one who shared a tiny bit of grief for Zoe.
I can go on and on about how poorly this storyline played out, but I'll just stop here.
I'll add one more thing. How did this trilogy get so many 5 stars? Did we read the same books?

So much going on!!
First Bliss and Money, smh they both got on my nerves!! Honestly what I wanted to happen, didn't happen. They just weren't right. City and Akira were obviously my favorite, then Shamar and Taraji. Taraji was a strong woman to deal with what she did. She deserves all the happiness in the world. Shon, shon, shon definitely living up to his last name after Niesha. Whoever he ends up with is in for a wild rollercoaster ride because he has no heart now. Zoe man she was crying out for help. Deuce is the original savage. Hopefully Mayhem can get on the right track and stay there, and the Kaos situation I didn't expect to happen that way. The Savages were an interesting, crazy family. What about the sisters though??

This book was a great read I really enjoyed this book.
This book was about the Savage brothers and family. Taye City Savage who did 10 years prison sentence to protect his brothers and family. He is reunite finally with his real love Akira White the one who got away he didn't mean to hurt her. She was engage to that lame Davion who couldn't accept the fact she left him for City was Chicago biggest hustler and king pin. Deuce the Savage family father has a secret Zoe Moore ex-fiancee of Money Savage and Shon Savage secret ex-lover baby Zoey is Deuce daughter one night of drinking and drugs they slept together Zoe ended up pregnant and assumed the baby was Money Savage trying desperately hold on to him ended up losing it all. Keandre Money Savage was trying to change his player way to be with his true love Bliss Davis the mother of his son Keandre Savage Jr. He wanted her to marry him and be his wife but it didn't work out in his favor. Bliss Davis took his son and left Chicago and moved to Texas to get a fresh start. She couldn't accept his marriage proposal because she couldn't trust him to be faithful to her are trust him especially with that love triangle with Zoe she was emotional and physically drained. Money tried to prove to her that he loved her and he was trying not change she was scared he would cheat on her again. Keandre Money Savage was trying to change his player way to be with his true love Bliss Davis the mother of his son Keandre Savage Jr. He wanted her to marry him and be his wife but it didn't work out in his favor. Bliss Davis took his son and left Chicago and moved to Texas to get a fresh start. She couldn't accept his marriage proposal because she couldn't trust him to be faithful to her are trust him especially with that love triangle with Zoe she was emotional and physically drained. Money tried to prove to her that he loved her and he was trying not change she was scared he would cheat on her again. Well, not how I thought this was going to go!!!
I was waiting on this finale and got a little bit annoyed as to how this finale went about...
Taraji, really, you go they all of these things and you have been broken down to the lowest, then you have an epiphany and you want Shamar to accept it after he accepted you all broken up and everything? You must not have been living in the real world because this was straight fantasy.
Bliss, you decide that you want to get away, find your self and get situated on your own and when Money shows up, does everything the right way, still accepted your rejection, you actually get annoyed and also have an epiphany about wanting to marry him because he went back his old ways, the same way that you didn't want him in? This is crazy and again straight up fantasy.
Neisha, girl bye, can you imagine if that guy didn't t checked out and still went after Shon? What were you going to do, go see him in an orange jumpsuit? And now knowing that he did checkout, you do not understand why Shon is not with you? Another straight up fantasy.
Probably there were just about 3 people not living in a fantasy: Akira and yep, dare I say Zoe, and Shon. With Akira, you could feel her pain and suffering first with her mom, then with City p, then with her dad, with Lola's deception, City's work, yet at the end she bosses up and accepted her man as is.
Zoe on the other hand, you could feel her pain, struggles, and suffering which led her to be reckless, depressed and just down right a sorry case of crazies. At least she did something too with her kid.
Shon, man I still don't like you because if it wasn't for your greed and selfishness, all of these problems would'nt have been put on top of this scale as it was. I took down my dislike to a huge down because of how you stood up to Neisha and how you couldn't compromise, because in the real world, this would have been the same and there wouldn't be no taking it back.
So yeah, these 3 definitely were the realest and not leaving in a fantasy.
This was what I didn't like about this finale. It was more filler pages, more fantasy and more out of this world disbelief, but daddy Savage was still the OG, City was still bae, Money and Shon were still correct, Shamer was still the sweetheart and bae, and the babies, Yummy, Tanaisha, Kaos and Mayhem, were being fiercely protected by their big brothers, and for that I was able to rate this a 3, and nor a 1.

I hated for this series to end. I love the Savage brothers. City is the man. I'm glad him and Akira got their happily ever after. I glad Akira didn't accept Lola's apology. They jumped Kira for lies. My heart broke for the Savage family, dude didn't have to do Kaos like that. I'm glad Money and Bliss finally cut the games but she was bout to get on my nerves. Reggie took the cowards way out and I'm glad Taraji and Shamar could look forward to another blessing. I feel bad for Shon. Neisha turned his heart cold and I think it will take a special kinda woman to Thaw it out. That damn Duece, he though he didn't make Zoey by being grimey to his son he still should have told him. 💞💞

This series was wild and crazy! I kind of felt bad for Zoe, but she didn't have anyone to blame but herself. I felt bad for Taraji as well, because it seemed that she couldn't catch a break, although I loved how Shamar loved her, even when she didn't love herself.
Akira and Bliss finally gotten the man of their dreams, which I was so happy about. It took Money a minute to realize the error of his ways, but he did get there. City was never afraid of commitment or afraid to love Akira, in the right way. City was my favorite character.
Niesha had ruined Shon, because Shon had given up on love. Shon thought that Niesha was special, but he changed after her betrayal. At least he was single while doing him. Shon didn't give anyone false hope, so it was what it was.

Never a disappointment
Loved this from beginning to end. Can't wait for the next book on the Savage brothers. I'm glad that everyone got a happy ending. Something I would recommend is to read about a couple we all want back together but it just doesn't happened. Maybe a nice twist that Money hurt Bliss so bad she just never accepted the proposal. (Sorry for the spoiler). The 2 of them just co-parent for rest of the storyline. I did get confused on all the siblings, as far as who all shared the same mother. Luckily I still have book 1. Definitely a MUST READ! I really enjoyed reading this series.

Maaaaan
Once again, I hated bliss, taraji, money and savage. Skipped their part every time. Zoe clearly had a mental problem but yet every one took her as a joke. Money is a whole clown for doing her dirty then acting surprised by the out come of that girl. It made me so mad that everybody thought it was funny that she was dead. She was hurting. Everybody hated her for what she did when she felt lonely because of Money but nobody told money about himself....... I started skipping Akira part once bliss was in it tho. I have never hated so many characters in a book before. Idk if it’s just me or what but this book was not my cup of tea.

predictable storyline but it was ok
I hated that Zoe had such an unhappy life, she was so young to experience so much heartache and no one truly loved her. She was treated wrong regardless of her mistakes. I hate she was an outcast and targeted as crazy and on drugs. No one felt sorry for her even in death. I wanted her to have a happily ever after because she deserved one, because everyone was just so mean to her. Shon and City were was my favorite characters . I skipped Shamar, Taraji, Bliss, Money and some of Akira POV, their characters were boring, so I basically skimmed through this whole series.

Akira and City have been through a lot together they may have fell off while City was gone, but they definitely made up for lost time in the past year. Aw man it’s it’s over 😞 but wow what a great series!! Bliss and Money finally got it together thank God. Neisha really thought shon was gon wife her after finding out she is a snake lol girl bye. I love city and akira’s love and glad that they finally got it together! My girl taraji went thru the ringer but shamar was ride by her side and she finally got her happy ending! I was so mad at the end lol. I needed shon and niesha to be together. But I respect the artistry and you staying true to their savage ways. I loved hoe money and bliss got they ish together. I cried so hard cause I just knew kaos was gonna make it and I needed to see him and mayhem tear ish up but I see how his death was the catalyst to building an even tighter family bond. Akira almost got on my nerves with her whining and complaining but im glad you got her together. Overall just a great job.

Reggie was just sorry. So mad at how he went out. Wish that Shamars shot would have done more damage. Nice to see him and Taraji get it together though. Same for Bliss, Money, Akira, and City. Zoe just weak and a sad excuse for a woman. Glad that Deuce manned up and was honest in the end though. Need a spin off where Shon and Niesha get right. All that junk he talking after all the dirt he's done. Need Niesha to rock him back to reality while catching up with the crew.

The series started off, I thought, pretty good. But by the time I got to the end of the series I was highly disappointed with the characters.
I hated Zoe got the ending that she got. Money definitely pushed her to the edge and had the audacity to say “look at you I broke you”. I know her actions weren’t the best but had Money did her right she wouldn’t have made the choices she made
The brothers, excluding Shamar, cause he stepped up with Taraji, and City. Money, Shawn and Pappa Deuce can kick rocks they are users.

This series was the bomb. I can't wait til Shon meets his soul mate that will knock off that blocked built covering his heart cause Niesha messed him up. I love that Taraji was able to get pregnant again because she is surely due done peace and happiness. Deuce needs to get fixed because he need not have anymore children. City was a family man and Money followed right behind him by locking Bliss down. I can't wait til the next book drops.

Great series. I felt like I was apart of the Savage family after reading these books. I loved everything about it. I shared tears when Kaos died. I was happy Nova got what she deserved. Zoe was a head case she was fraud to be having an affair with Shon so I didn’t feel bad when she died. I was sad that Taraji went through what she went through, Reggie didn’t have to kill that baby he was a coward. I was hoping for more I was kind of shocked when the book was over but I can’t wait to read more.

This series was fire the way City cared for Skies since the age of 12 without forcing or expecting anything for her is rare but beautiful. City being the oldest took on a lot for his family and others the way this man tried to do right by holding things down trying to make sure all his siblings made it in the world without following in his foot steps just a great series to read.

I love the series
This series had me all in. I really love the family dynamic a little rough around the edges but it was genuine. One thing I can say they all arrogant and stubborn. Im surprised but I was sad to hear about Zoe I mean my heart broke for her. Bliss and Money get on my nerves lol. Shon and mayhem is crazy . I would love to hear more from the sisters that would have been lit. Also I was hoping Lola would make an appearance. Deuce smh he terrible lol .

This series was really good. Jessica gave you a little bit of everything. The Savage Family and Omg Deuce lol he as a mess but he was who he was. Good Read
This was a good read. I really do hope that it's the end of the series because it's starting to drag. Sometimes a series just can go on for too long and if it doesn't have enough new elements it just seems like it's being extra for no reason. Potentially a spinoff maybe better than actually going back into this series.

Omggggg u took us on a roller coaster ride with this one. So many deaths. So many twists & turns. In the end, LOVE WINS !!! I LOVE love! I enjoyed the characters and story. I felt like it was missing something. Like what was Reggie story and what Deuce do with the baby. Is Shon going to keep running around and what happened to Neisha.
