This went from 4 stars to 3. Bondage and choking up your partner is not something i enjoy but to each it’s own. It only happened once but once was enough for me.
I liked that the heroine was sexually experienced. She wasn’t a shrinking violet. She knew what she wanted and went for it. Flirted with the hero first, gave him her phone number and told him he could called her for anything. 😏
Hero broke up with his long time girlfriend after he found her cheating in his own bed with a coworker. Shocking right? This was 3 months before meeting the heroine, he wasn’t celibate after his break up he said that he let his dick do the talking.
I just don’t get why the heroine chose to stay quiet when he told her about his ex when she too had a cheating ex in her life. I always failed to understand the women in the books.
Anyway his ex does makes an appearance 3 times causing drama for them, nothing happened between them two. He didn’t want her.

I officially have become a fan of Michelle Smith's writing. I recently had the chance to read and review Cade, book 1 in this series, so when I was offered a copy of Sloan, I jumped at the chance to read and review it. I really enjoy the author's writing style. She has a way of drawing the reader in and keeping your attention with each passing page. The characters are well written and engaging, charming, sexy, a little witty and a little broken as well. I would suggest reading book 1 before reading Sloan's story as there is overlapping of the characters in this book. Something that I really enjoy. I always like to see past characters in a series get a little page-time in the next book.
Sloan works hard for his families law firm. Recent changes have him traveling a lot more than normal. Upon the return from his latest business trip, all he can think about is going home and relaxing for a few days or maybe even a week. No such luck. He finds himself literally face to face with his cheating girlfriend. The story then jumps ahead about three months, Sloan finally has his own place and has no intention of getting into a relationship again. He wants to enjoy his newfound single freedom and the company of any willing woman he chooses. Meeting Elizabeth may just throw a wrench in those plans.
Elizabeth has just made the move to Florida with her brother and has no intentions of getting attached to another man. She likes being able to play the field and have control over her life. Having her heart broken again is just something she would rather not deal with. When she meets Sloan Wesley there is an instant attraction and she can only hope that they are on the same page. Can they have a friends with benefits fling or will feelings and emotions get caught up in all of it making them question what it is that they have gotten themselves into? When past loves make an appearance, will what Sloan and Lizzy have be strong enough to withstand the blow or will someone walk away with yet another broken heart?
Lizzy and Sloan together are hot hot hot. I love both of their characters so much. They both have baggage and walls built so high they have no plans of letting anyone in. They are both more alike than they are different. The chemistry between them is crazy and you can feel it from the first time that they meet. So, if you are in the mood for a sweet, sexy, hot read that will occupy a few short hours of your time, then this is definitely the book for you. I can only hope that we see more books about the other brothers and maybe even Holden in this series.

The Wesley Brothers are dynamite!!! Cade was my first Wesley boyfriend, but now I'm thinking I'll switch to Sloan cuz damnnnn that man knows how to do it RIGHT!
Sloan and Lizzy were causing sparks all over my pages right from the get-go. The story line was easy as pie for a lazy Sunday. A little sneaking around, forbidden romance goes a long way to raise the HAWTNESS level. S + L nearly set off my smoke alarms, their chemistry had me turning the pages at light speed. While the story was fairly simple, it was certainly not lacking in passion, sexy times (can't get enough!!!) and heart.
I can't wait to see where Michelle Smith takes us next as we meet the next Wesley Brother! Sloan and Cade are definite must reads if you're looking for a smooth, sexy, charming read!!

I am liking these Wesley brothers. I love good men with a strong sense of family. Sloan is a dirty-talking alpha with a good heart and a generous respect for a good woman. Sweet, sexy, and commanding, he's just perfect.

What a sexy, hot and fun read! Michelle Smith is a new-t0-me author, and she's one I will definitely be keeping an eye on in the future!
Sloan is the second in a series of books about the Wesley brothers. I did not read Cade first, and while some other reviewers recommend having done so, I did not feel that I was missing anything crucial to Sloan's story as a result. Sloan and Lizzy both have some relationship baggage they are carting around, yet neither one of them can deny the instant chemistry that sizzles between them from the second they first meet. So begins their friends-with-benefits relationship -- and we all know how the story goes. Before long, they are each craving more but afraid to give voice to their feelings and scare the other off. It's not until The Conflict happens that they each just buck up and 'fess up, not wanting to lose one another.
Reader beware: there is a lot of sex in this book. But it is a friends-with-benefits story, so that should kind of go without saying. But beyond that, the connection between Sloan and Lizzy comes across nicely to the reader. The Conflict was a believable enough scenario, and Sloan really tried to show Lizzy what she meant to him through it all, while she worked out her issues.
Overall, Sloan was an enjoyable, easy read. (I started it during my lunch break and finished it before I went to bed, all in the same day.) I can't wait to see what Smith puts out for the rest of these hot brothers!

This is the second part of the Wesley Brothers series, and I do suggest that you read book one, Cade, before diving into Sloan. Sloan comes home from a business trip to find his girlfriend in his bed with another man. Now months later, Sloan is not interested in anything serious, just some NSA fun and he is set. When Elizabeth comes into his office with some paperwork for him, Sloan just knows that she is gonna be his next conquest.
Elizabeth works as a PA for her brother, and has willingly moved to Florida with him, to get a change of pace. Elizabeth has her own past issues that make her shy away from any relationship, and makes sure that Sloan is on the same page as far as this just being a friends with benefits situation. But the question is, can they keep this situation strictly no strings? What happens when Sloan's past comes back to haunt them?
Once again Michelle Smith has proven that she can write some really smoking hot sexy times. Once again this was a cute quick read, and I give this 4 stars.

I love the Wesley brothers and holy moly is Sloan a hottie! You don't have to have read book 1 to follow along with book 2 but it does help as the other characters in this book are introduced in book 1.
Such a fun, well paced, exciting read! Michelle Smith knocked it out of the park, again, with her second book. The characters are well developed, the plot keeps moving and is actually plausible. You can imagine these are real people living their lives in hot and steamy Miami.
I love Elizabeth because shes sassy and doesn't want to fall in love. In fact, knows she's the love'em and leave'em kinda gal. A bit of a departure from some of the heroines I've read who are all swoony and chasing after the unavailable guy.
Both Lizzy and Sloan have commitment issues they need to get over but that doesn't stop them from hooking up and having some seriously hot sexy time. Somebody is catching feelings though and fight it...so there is some back and forth tension that will eventually work itself out in the bedroom.

I actually read this book twice before writing this review. The sexy, hot interaction between Sloan and Lizzy was mesmerizing to read. The instant connection that they felt was obvious, both dealing with past pain and fighting what they really want from another person made the attraction a struggle. They both decided that friendship was the way to go, even though family just laughed at them. When Sloan's past comes back to try and claim him will he forget about Lizzie and go back to what he already knew, or stay and experience something special; something unique? There are so many great aspects to this book; the connection they both have for their families, and the passion they have for each other. Will that be enough? Thank you for allowing me to read this book and write a honest review.

Another really well written & sexily hot read!!! Sloan & Lizzy scorched my Kindle screen with how how much they burned for each other.
I really like that, though each main character has romantic issues, they don't let it hold them back for too long when they're put to the test, there's no agonizingly long, drawn out angst!!
Really liked her brother, hoping he'll get his book in the future? Holden sounds like a future story too, he & his sister may need longer books though?! It's so exciting watching a new career from the start!!! ❤

Dayum..... What a fun and HOT book!!!! This was my first read by Author Michelle Smith and I promise it won't be the last cause I enjoyed this book so much!!!! Sloan is one Sexy guy with a damn good heart and Elizabeth is the sweetest girl that had to go through a bad break up in the past just as Sloan had to!!!! This is my first book by Michelle Smith and I am glad I took a chance on this. I loved Sloan and Elizabeth! They both have so many things in common. They both are very close to their siblings and both had been hurt by partners in the past. This story hooked me and I couldn't put it down. It left me with a feel good sigh when everything worked out. I am looking forward to reading more about the Wesley brothers.

Good
I found the ending a bit cliche but it really had no where else to go. I would have liked to see a bit more of the relationship side than just the physical connection side, but some parts were there. This was a bit like sex that became more, which is fine, but I personally wanted more emotional intimacy.

Sloan was one of those books that you laughed one minute and was wanting to shake a character the next. Sloan and Elizabeth had the type of chemistry that I can only dream about. This was a fast paced book that kept my attention till the end. Enjoyable read!

I loved this book. Fun and VERY hot. I felt like a needed a cold shower at parts. I loved Sloan and Elizabeth, they have an amazing connection and wonderful chemistry. One thing I love most about this book is how much it focuses on the couple and their journey and very little outside drama. If you are looking for a sexy and fun read I recommend this one. I can't wait for the other brothers books!!

Another delicious & sexy read!! Sloan is book 2 in the Wesley Brothers series. Cade is book 1, and even though this is a stand-alone I highly recommend reading Cade, as he makes appearances in this book.
Sloan is the eldest of the Wesley brothers (4 altogether). He is a hard-working lawyer with a lot on his plate, including taking over the legal needs of the Florida Thrillers, a baseball team. Elizabeth Vaughn is the personal assistant & twin sister of Carson, a recently traded shortstop for the Thrillers. She has to drop off paperwork at his office & when they see each other it’s lust at first sight! Both have been hurt in the past & are only interested in casual hook ups, but what happens when they start to care more for each other? Can they move on from their insecurities or will they risk losing out on what could be the start of something great?
Sloan & Elizabeth together are explosive! Besides being physically attracted to each other, they have great conversations & are completely comfortable with each other. The sex between the two are hot & steamy! As much as I love these two I am anxiously waiting for the next Wesley brother book!
