"The way he keeps eyeing my curves in this dress ... well, he doesn't look like he's planning on going anywhere without me."
I didn't realise how short this book was.
I guess it's going to be short book series. Why not just combine it all into one then?
The plotline went straight in and I guess with the plotline and title everything is so obvious and make sense where it is all going.
I just wish it was longer because as I was getting excited the story end.
Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Gemma's best friend and roommate Stella is begging Gemma to help her out on a job. She needs Gemma to go out with one of her regular clients to a museum charity function. Gemma is reluctant because it seems a little to close to prostitution for her but Stella is very convincing. If Gemma does this job, Stella would pay her rent for 2 months and she would be paid for the job. Besides Stella promised that the client was always a gentleman and it would be Gemma's decision to do more than just be a date. Gemma agrees reluctantly.
Gemma takes a cab to the hotel where she is supposed to meet her client. She is nervous since the hotel is run by her fathers best friend and she doesn't want him to know what she is doing. Her luck is bad and while she is waiting in the bar, her dad's friend Lucas shows up and chats with her. They quickly figure that they are each others dates for the evening.
Lucas has been attracted to Gemma for a while but seeing her dressed all sexy for him is the last straw. He takes Gemma up to his room to love her instead of going out. He introduces her to some of his dominant tastes.
This is a hot steamy book and the first part of a serial. It is a very quick read. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Gemma is not happy about having to take the place of her friend, who happens to be an escort. However, the pot has been sweetened with the money, and half her rent paid by the friend, as well as wearing something of her friends (that makes her feel extremely sexy.) Reluctantly she agrees.
Waiting for her "date" she is at the meeting place when she spots her dad's BFF Lucas. Looking away and down, hoping he doesn't recognize or see her. That is not how this happens though. He spots her and bee lines to her. Finding out that Stella is the person Lucas was waiting for is a bit unnerving. Now when Lucas finds out that Gemma is taking Stella's place as his escort, he can't bear to not act on his feelings that he has kept hidden for so long. That isn't the only secret he has though.
Gemma finds out that Lucas, whom she has had a crush on for years, has a darker side is a lot to take in. Then when she learns he has hidden his feelings for her heightens the pleasures more. There seems to be a series of tests that Lucas feels Gemma needs to pass, and she has just past the first one. Now Lucas proposes another surprise to Gemma. Will she take it?

Hot, jarring and dangerous.
I picked this book up on a lark. It looked hot and might be fun for a short read. It was interesting, to say the least.
This is told in first person, and it was nice to get both points of view, but this is entirely too short. I have no idea much of the background of the characters. I barely knew what they looked like. I will say the chemistry between them is good, but it’s so quick. I didn’t form much of an emotional bond with them. I wish I’d have known what made them tick. I get that it’s a short story, so I went along for the ride. I also have to add that I was a bit shocked by how fast things progressed. It’s the high heat kind of story, so there’s that and it delivered. It was scorching. It’s also a cliff-hanger, which could be a turn-off to some readers. It worked for me as I wanted a morsel story, not a full novel.
If you’re looking for something hot and about a half-hour read, then this might be the one for you. I see there are more books in the series, and it would be nice to get to know these characters more, so I’d encourage reading those next. I will be.

This is the first installment in a three part story. It does end on a cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

I received a free copy of this novella via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a very hot couple of chapters ! Stella bribes her friend Gemma into replacing her as an escort one night. Gemma finally agrees and finds out the man is her Daddy's billionaire best friend.. The author was great, building up the meeting with Lucas. And then the heat turns up when Lucas decides not to go to the museum after all....Wow.

When you start reading this book it is unassuming.
Once you get past the first chapter it becomes fast pace and erotic and Hot. For a serie starter it will whet your appetite. This book makes you want to get the rest of the series to see where it goes.

Wow, this is a short, hot and funny read. Gemma goes from fantasizing about Lucas to standing in for her best friend as an escort only to meet the man of her deepest fantasies.
