The origin crew is back for another adventurous installment in the land of ARS. The Storm Tyrant has made a bold move to lay claim to the town of Trinity Station. Scott, separated from his fiance and fairy best friend must join forces with a few friends new and old to drive back the encroaching horde. However, there looms an even darker personal threat on the horizon that could tear his family apart. Between the retaking of Trinity Station, the difficulties of managing a relationship between three people, and the ever encroaching threat of world destruction from the board, can this newly minted family survive? This story is part of a larger multiversal series known as Project Scott, or the Scottie-verse. This project features a titular character named Scott who appears in many different storylines. Each iteration of 'Scott' is a different character, but there will always be similarities between the various versions of him that exist. Some stories overlap, and in small ways nearly all of them intertwine. Think of it as seeing one man through a kaleidoscope, it is the same image but seen through many different minor variations.
The MC is brought to ARS to save the world by defeating the lords of destruction. Or is he? The MC gets lost in the minutia of day to day life and the overriding focus of the story is lost. The Author seems to lose touch with it himself and admits he is writing a soap opera. The entire series has been flighty and whimsical about what the MC is supposed to be doing and has made this story into a chore to read.
Too much love and spirituality not enough game mechanics
A good overall book. Just too much focus on the relationship and not enough on the game. Like way more focus on the relationships than the older books. In addition this new realm and the way magic and Scotts class in general is very confusing
