“Five bucks says it’s a bear…” When your job involves everything from investigating alien sightings to catching escaped emus, sometimes on the same call, you get pretty used to the extraordinary becoming ordinary. It was just another Monday at the Chimera Foundation for two field biologists when they would make the discovery of a lifetime. Up close and personal with the most legendary cryptid of all time, the scientists quickly realize that what their subject can teach them has little to do with blood and bones and everything to do with head and heart.
I really enjoyed this book. Maybe I really didn’t read the description properly, but it was a pleasant surprise!
Spoilers ahead, because I do want you to give this book a chance.
Alex works for an organization that goes to see if cryptids are real. It kinda gave me the search and rescue vibes from creepypasta. That’s not to cheapen the fact but it makes it more digestible and enjoyable.
It’s a really quick read, I read it after we lost power and didn’t have internet. I started at 11ish and finished at 3 pm. It starts with a wolf dog and ended with Big foot. Alex was very compassionate and cared a lot about what she did and how it effects the future. I’m definitely going to read the rest of the series

That's the best way I can describe this book. The Characters were very well thought out and believable. I really liked Frank at the end, though I would have like to see more of Bear and Ash and others expect Greg (spoiler alert LOL). I'll probably try to check out more of her work.
I love short reads especially when they are as great as this story. This story had so much packed in the short read with awesome characters and a great dog on top of it. Except for the creepy boss of course. It's a great read either way!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bigfoot Research in New York This is a fun sci-fi fantasy about Bigfoot research. It is entertaining and humorous. It is almost like a Twilight Zone. I have read a couple of this author's stories and would love to read more. I received this story for free and this is my honest review.
