The Irreducible Primary: A Dialogue on Nature, Spirituality, and the Human Condition

Rate this book
An active cognizance of our influence on the big-picture flow of creation, in which we all participate, is the responsibility of every human being. It is only through this effort that we can understand those spiritual competencies that are most relevant to the critical cause-and-effect interactions that have the most sway over our existence.

So too is it incumbent on humans to embrace the concept of unconditional love, and to understand why we alone get to take the journey toward it. It is only in a space where spirituality is allowed to uncover our inner structure and dimensions of consciousness that we engage this important energy force.

The Irreducible Primary is an unapologetic examination of spirituality, nature, and the current state of human interaction. Here, spiritual seekers and religious types who’ve grown dissatisfied with religious dogma, along with individuals frustrated with governmental and political impotency, find fresh reason for hope.

The Irreducible Primary: A Dialogue on Nature, Spirituality, and the Human Condition by Rob Taylor is a unique read with interesting thoughts. As a personal development book, it is helpful to expand and cultivate your individual peace with yourself and others. Control of yourself and your thoughts are important factors in how others perceive you, and the treatment you can expect from your acquaintances. I personally do not agree with his thoughts on spirituality or evolving.

It is evident that Rob Taylor put much time into his book, The Irreducible Primary: A Dialogue on Nature, Spirituality, and the Human Condition. I felt the author’s attitude about unconditional love was not realistic. I struggled with the philosophy we orchestrate events, yes, to some degree we do when we harmed someone. But did the child who is abused orchestrate the evil done to them? I felt this book just focused on one aspect of a relationship not both. Could be helpful to someone wishes to develop a peace within themselves.

Many of my own thoughts and feelings regarding spirituality align with Rob Taylor's (I believe in Oneness and Connectedness of Life), so I found in this book much wisdom and eloquence. I certainly appreciated the broader outlook, the bigger picture of the division and damage we as humans inflict upon ourselves, each other and life on the planet as a whole. However, on the other hand, whilst much more gentle and inclusive than organised religion, I still found the presentation of information in this book to be off putting in the way it was written as fact - just as any religion presents their truth as The Truth. Despite the fact that Rob Taylor's ideas and beliefs are obviously heartfelt, well thought out and deeply held, they are still merely opinion rather than fact....and his declarations as to how we should Be, how we would/should evolve, are only his supposition and somewhat prescriptive in tone. I also don't really feel that the poetry adds much to the book. That might just be a reflection of my individual tastes though, as for me poetry needs to be something truly exceptional for me to appreciate it.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is really well-written and was a good read I really enjoyed this new perspective on human life. This book is so well thought out and put together. It was a really good read.
This is as the description says an unapologetic examination of spirituality, nature, and the current state of human interaction. But I find it is so much more than that. And what impressed me most is that the author did not feel the need to quote scripture to make a point. I am religious but I do not feel the need to push my beliefs on someone and most of these books do just that. But not this one it was quite refreshing. And this book was truly a joy to read. This book is quite moving and the passages and the poems are very significant. I attributed this to the fact that the author has experienced a significant amount of heartaches and loss in his life. He is also a cancer survivor and I think it really showed in his work, to write what one has experienced. You could feel the emotions he put into this book.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too

I give The Irreducible Primary a rating of five stars as it has been a long time since a work has led me to look at my inner life and primed a desire to make a change. It called me to examine the energy I draw into myself as well as the energy I wish to put out into the world. At a time when one can become frustrated with the direction they see our political and religious institutions moving in, Rob Taylor gives us hope that if we do our own inner work, we can make a difference. I recommend this inspiring book to anyone who wishes to gain insight for their spiritual journey and motivation to persevere.
