Noble Blackfeather is an enigma—and that’s just how he likes it. Stoic and mysterious, he hides a lifetime’s worth of pain and a secret so profound, he’s never shared it with anyone. Ever. So why does the single mother next door tempt him seven ways to Sunday? Her and her teenage son are nothing but trouble, but damn it if they don’t need someone to save them. But that someone won’t be him. Braelyn Campbell has travelled over a thousand miles to make a fresh start in Texas and protect herself, and more importantly, her son, from a volatile ex. She’s not about to risk her heart or her son’s on another man—even if he is sexy as sin and always coming to her rescue. Hearts clash and chemistry explodes as these three wounded hearts are drawn together, threats are faced, and secrets are revealed . . . all with a little help from Heaven’s favorite Cupid. ***Previously published as The Halo Effect, this version has been re-edited with new, bonus content included. All books in the Inked series are standalones with a guaranteed HEA, but if you’d like to enjoy them in Jed Noble Elijah Charlie Tristan

I love a series that has you focus on a character with each book but had already introduced you to that character in previous books. Noble is the strong and silent type because of a deep hurt that he is dealing with and Braelyn is the protective mama bear that has been put through a lot so she doesn't take anything from anybody. I loved reading about these two and how they helped each other heal again.

Noble prefers to keep to himself. But when his new neighbor moves in, he can't help but watch for her. Braelyn is working on a new start in life, trying to put the past behind her. She can't help but notice her new neighbor as well, and when she and her son need help, they turn to him. Neither of them wants a relationship, but they are drawn to each other anyway. Will they be able to resist? Or will Cupid have a different idea? I really loved this story, and I definitely recommend it.

Book 2, Noble, introduces us to Braelyn and Tristan a mother and son who come crashing into Noble's life showing him all the things he never thought he wanted. All three of these characters have their scars and demons that have to confront and overcome. Told with a heart, Noble is a well written journey into healing a heart and discovering your HEA

Noble

Noble is a quiet deep wounded hero who’s nobody’s hero. His childhood has left him emotionally wounded and he thinks he deserves nothing. Little does he realise his next door neighbor think he deserves everything and her and her son are ready to prove him wrong.

Michael has his work cut out with Bray & Noble. The hero & heroine have both had had many a bad relationship and now they have to find their way to a HEA. I am thoroughly enjoying the premise of this series. Angels are around us at all times!

Heavy handed on religion

The first book was religious, but not quite so heavy handed. I felt a bit like I was reading an episode of touched by an angel. The writing was solid, characters well developed and the story was well thought out. Unfortunately it was too much heavy handed religion for me. I’ll be stopping this series here. If you like some romance, a bit of steam and lots of godliness, you’ll enjoy this book.
