The plot thickens...

John, Rachel and Dog are back together, Martinez is back and a plucky 12 year old girl joins the crew. Patton does a great job of not only holding your interest, but keeps you guessing where things are going. There's nothing predictable or boring about this series. Just when you think you've got it figured out; he spins another plot and adds a new character. This series has the perfect balance of action, romance, drama, suspense and humor; not an easy combination to achieve. I can't believe that after 16 books, I'm still enjoying this story and haven't lost one bit of interest or enthusiasm for the next installment. Keep them coming!

Major Chase, Rachel, and the rest of the V Plague characters still grip readers after sixteen novels......

I read hundreds of books every year; post-apocalyptic, zombies (as well as their close virus/bio-weapon born cousins,) and dystopian being among my most read genres. I have to say that Dirk Patton's "V Plague" series is among my top three must-read series. Since reading the first installment, it has become a routine of devouring each book the day of release and then checking weekly (at minimum) for the pre-purchase of the next. Highly recommended.

Ahhh...nice to be back with John, Rachel and Dog finally after delving into the two books dealing with the Athena Project to get that background. I recommend doing it as it answers a lot of questions that might crop up later in the V Plague narrative. The scene has now switched to Australia and, what has morphed from zombie apocalypse into out and out war with Russia, has now morphed back into zombies galore. Some new characters crop up, most notably Mavis, a young girl that John takes under his wing. All is not well with John, as revealed at the end of this book, I'll not elaborate and let the readers discover it on their own. Suffice it to say, it's an extremely interesting idea. Onward to book 17, and after all this time, I still love this series.

No breaks here either

Seriously jacked up plot from the time travel stuff. Why is it that John, Rachel and Dog can't catch a break? Not sure if John is trying to be a hero, so not surprised that he's still standing. Too far fetched that John keeps winning, but losing the battles. Most wars are not won by brute force, but by strategic thinking. Did the time travel unbalance the universe? How is Martinez still alive? How is Titus not affected by the time travel warping? Questions, questions that will probably be answered in the next book.

Another cliffhanger at the end...

I always grab the latest in this series as soon as I see its available! These are not stand alone books; it’s important you read them in order or you’ll get lost pretty quickly.

I’ve become very invested in all of the characters and loved this latest installment even though I’m confused by some of the random directions it seemed to go in. I may have to go back and re-read the last few to reacquaint myself with some of the timeline. Dirk Patton is a compelling author, however, I have to say I didn’t like the tie in in the last few books (numbers 14, 15 & 16) with his other books about the Athena Project. I felt it really confused the narrative and didn’t add anything to the story other than a convenient escape for our hero, his lady and his dog. I was let down by the easy way out he took for them.

It’s a really good series, and considering the number of books, I understand that every aspect isn’t always going to be perfect. The fact that I still look forward to every book that comes out is a testament to how good I feel the story and the writing is. The different idea about the beginning of an apocalypse that involves an enemy who America has thought was no longer a threat is unique and interesting, and the many different places that are affected by it all over the world, keep the narrative engaging. I think we forget that when the apocalypse happens, it most certainly won’t just affect America.

So, start the series. If you like apocalypse stories or military stories or good character development or even some romance, I think Mr. Patton does a great job delivering well developed characters and something for everyone.

I want to give this series a 10 but there isn't one!

I can't believe that I have been reading this series for over two years and I am still in awe of all of the pieces and parts that are coming together. This is such an awesome story. One feels like they are part of the storyline and becomes one with the characters. Please hurry and get the next issue out and by the way, I think I know about the Admiral!

I can’t say enough how much I love this series! With this, the 16th book (or 18th if you’ve entwined ‘The Void’ and the short stories), Mr. Patton continues to entertain and enthrall!

The story continues with no summary or backtracking and plunges the reader right back into the middle of the fight. With new characters, old characters, and always Dog, there is not a hint of staleness. The story is still going strong and there’s not a hint of winding down! Awesomely well done!

Amazing

I love this series! Every page is filled with non stop action. So well written, the storyline just flows.
I tried my hardest to savor this book and not rip through it in one day. Well done Dirk Patton, I can't wait to see what happens on the next journey with John and Rachel. Please if you do nothing else start reading this series, you'll thank me for the recommendation.

Drive me crazy!!!

This has been one of the best series that I have ever read. John Chase , Rachel, dog, and the rest of the crew keep everyone in a state of anxiety. Just waiting to see what comes up the next bend in the road. In this book you see people that had been dead in prior books alive. If you want a clue how you need to read the 36 and the void also by Dirk. Only one con on this book it ended too soon. Will await anxiously for next installment.!!

Another excellent book in the replay series.

Another excellent book in the series that I’ve enjoyed. Fast-paced, plenty of action, excellent character development which is continuing as the series goes on. I have one complete, longhair on females in an apocalyptic situation, not so much. And please get Chase and his entire crew back together. I love the fact that Martinez is back. Anyone who likes action adventure guns bullets romance will enjoy the series.

Holy Moly!!!!

This book had me enthralled from the first word. I’m not surprised because all of Dirk’s books do this. He is my favorite author. This book has to be one of the top three in the series so far. I’m so excited for the return of some of the characters I was sad that left. And I love that he inserted new characters that seem to be staying. A definite must read, as always.

Dirk Patton has done it again , told afast paced story with intrigue and tying all the previous storylines together. This series would make for a great TV series. Can not wait for the next book!! 😍😁😈

Speechless !

Geezus was this a kick in the pants! I love this series. I have 10 of the books at home and will buy all the rest as well, even though I read every book on my kindle. There are very, very few Authors that I've ever enjoyed as much as this one. I highly recommend this series and this author to everyone!

Dirk Patton continues his Masterpiece

This book is a great continuation of an already incredible series. If you've read the rest of the series then you need to read this. I love how Patton brings so many story elements together and gives some answers to questions from earlier books. The only thing I dislike is the cliffhanger ending. Can't wait for the next one.

Dirk Patton, Awesome writer with an imagination that something that makes you wonder how he keeps the story in his mind and not already all out in book form. Hmmmm, is he holding out on us?

Almost made me tear up

This series has been the best I've ever read. But this book of them all has been a wild ride. The return of some characters I've thought lost. The interaction between new characters meeting was amazing. Keep up the great work Dirk, I will never stop loving your work.

I am ready for the next one

I can't seem to get enough of Major John Chase and his crew. Mr. Patton keeps the adventure going with his wonderful writing. The characters in this book are awesome and heroic. The story is full of action. Just when you think it's over, something new happens and our heroes are off again. I loved this book!

Just as expected, this latest addition to the series was AWESOME!!! My one and ONLY complaint is the book ended far too soon. Now I’m stuck waiting for the next novel, none too patiently...
