A 21st century battle between good and evil.

When Dr. Jared Johnson's research project collapses, so does he. He tosses the funding rejection letter in his office wastebasket and his plans to marry the love of his life out the window.

The last thing he wants to do is return to his home town, Chandlerville, Kentucky. An unexpected call from his grandmother, a lifelong resident of the small town, convinces him that all things indeed happen for a reason and perhaps this is the right time to reestablish his roots and start anew.

When he arrives--single, with no intent to marry, he's shocked to learn that the town has unanimously approved his pastoral appointment to the newly refurbished 100-year-old Baptist church. Despite his divinity training, Jared never intended to pastor a church—not when his specialty is psychological profiling.

As fate would have it, the evil spirits that begin to permeate the town and its good-hearted citizens shortly after his arrival challenge his technical skills, experience and community relationships. To complicate matters, a local angel finds herself in the eye of the storm causing Jared to re-evaluate his past and question his future.

I have read several books by this author and have never been disappointed! This is the author’s second book in the Chandler County Romantic Suspense series and I think I’m hooked. I had expected these books to be stand-alone stories but, to my surprise, the characters, relationships and events in this fascinating small-town series appear not only to be evolving but to be intertwined, making for unpredictable and surprising relationships and unexpected consequences.
In this book, anti-hero Jairo Aquino (from Missing Pieces, the author’s first book in the CC series) continues to antagonize and threaten the laid-back life-style of Chandler County residents but rallies in support of newcomer Dr. Jared J. Johnson, a psychological profiler, whose decision to ditch his beloved fiancée causes him and his friends and family to question his sanity.
This story moves along quickly, and I must add I was sorry to see it end. I’m looking forward to Book 3 in the series and would highly recommend anyone to read books 1 and 2.
Kudos to Ms. Tullis on the launch of another great series.

Missing Home is a well-written story about a man (Dr. Jared Johnson), trying to find his true calling in life, about love lost, redemption and second chances.
Ms. Tullis has a way of weaving a tale that flows seamlessly and takes the reader on an emotion filled journey. She has captured the essence of small town life in America. Her characters are true to life, engaging, and their interactions and dialogue is spot on.
I’ve been looking forward to reading this for a while and I wasn’t disappointed. I especially liked seeing the addition of some of my favorite characters from Missing Pieces and learning more about them. Very well done and highly recommended!

"Missing Home" by Stephanie Tullis
I was gifted a copy of this novella... and... I made it through the story...
I liked the plot.. there was a lot of potential yet, and I am not sure why,,
I felt like I kept getting lost, that the story was dis-jointed..
I hope it was just me..
