I Am Rahab

What do you do when you can relate more to Jezebel, Rahab, or Eve rather than Esther or Mary? To her surprise and joy, author Autumn Miles discovered most of the heroes of the Bible were plagued with the same problem. They were ordinary people who sinned, but God’s love, mercy, and truth proved greater. I am Rahab introduces readers to a better understanding of God, with a focus on the breadth of his reach to use and redeem all things for the good of his purposes, and for their benefit as his beloved children. Readers will find comfort in relating to the story of Rahab and to Autumn’s own raw story, encouraged to know they are not alone in a life disrupted by bad choices, nor are they meant to stay there. You can move forward from your past and have an abundant future.

"I am Rahab" is a non-fiction, personal growth book by Autumn Miles.   Miles uses the Biblical character and King David's great-great-grandmother to show how the Bible is filled with sinful people who were no different as we are.  But God is able to redeem even the most sinful and broken of people to be used for great purposes.

If you're not familiar with the story, Rahab was a prostitute who was living in Jericho during the time that the Israelites were preparing to inhabit the land that God had promised them.  She hid the Israelite spies from the king's men who were looking for them and in return, they promised to save Rahab and her family when they stormed the city after the walls fell.  You can see her story in Joshua 2 and Joshua 6:22-24.

Miles goes chapter by chapter explaining how while we are more like Rahab, God will set us apart and use us for His purpose in spite of our flaws and disobedience.  She encourages the reader that God's grace is big enough even for the worst of us and that we are not alone and stand amongst some of the biggest heroes of our faith.  Encourage yourself, friend, and read "I am Rahab".

I am reviewing a copy of I Am Rahab through Worthy Publishing and Netgalley:

In I Am Rahab we are reminded that most of the Heroes in the Bible were ordinary people who sinned, they weren't perfect. But God's Love, mercy and truth was greater than their sin.

This book will help us to better understand God, focusing on his reach to redeem all things for his purposes and the good of his children.

I give I Am Rahab five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

I Am Rehab by author Autumn Miles is an inspirational true story with scriptures and guides to better identify yourself in different seasons of your life. Even though she experienced a divorce at a young age, she did not let that define her life. This is a very encouraging book for women in this present day who encounter difficult events in their life. I appreciate the chapters and how they lead a person of faith into a more realistic view and understanding of living a life without being hindered by past mistakes or events and going forward with a clear purpose.
I would recommend this book for all young women who live a life of Christian faith and personally I think it should be available in each church library. Excellent!

I read this for a book group so this is why it took me so long to finish this. This book goes in depth on Rahab from the Bible and how she can related to in our own lives. Rehab was known as a harlot who helped the Israelite spies to take down her town of Jericho that was promised to them by the Lord. We go in depth on how God used this woman who dabbled in sin to set out on a greater purpose. The author, Autumn uses her own life experience to show how we are all like Rahab. Without giving out a lot of spoilers, her life experience is raw and full of sin and she used this as a way that God used her like God used Rahab to carry out a life of peace and purpose.

WOW!!!

I am so in love with this book!! I feel like I've highlighted the entire thing! Autumn is such an inspiration to me. I love everything about her. I Am Rahab is founded on biblical truth and written with love. Every chapter brought a 'light bulb moment' of understanding and awe, all pointing back to God! It is packed with words and truths we all need to hear. I'm so glad Autumn wrote this book, I will be referring back to it often.

In the book “I Am Rehab” Autumn explains that even though we may not identify with Rahab’s story we are still sinful yet He redeems even the most sinful and broken of people in spite of our flaws and disobedience for His great purpose. The author is vulnerable in sharing her story in a beautiful way. The book is worth reading.

I read this book at the right time, when I am struggling and questioning my worth.
Through the life of Rahab I have realized that every pieces in our life is meant to be as it is, for the pieces will make a wonderful picture in the end.
Thanks for the testimony of Autumn Miles, it encouraged me to do more and never let the voices of other people define m.

I thought this was a fiction rendition of Rahab from the Bible , not a study of Rahab with this authors back story weaved through it.
