I’ve been so tired of the hateful and petty talk in the Stepmom forums online. I desire to see my blended (step) family situation more through the eyes of Christ. Gayla really lives her talk and she encourages her reader to do the same. She addresses the big topics all of stepparents face. I could relate to almost every emotion or situation. Instead of letting the reader wallow in victim-thinking, she offers solutions and applicable Bible stories and verses. I highly recommend this book to stepparents new and seasoned!

It has been such an encouragement to me while reading the devotions. There are devotions for pretty much every situation. This is a resource I would highly recommend for any blended family. The devotions are relatively short, and each one is practical and filled with encouragement. The author writes from her own experiences and does so with understanding, love, and knowledge. The index is arranged so that the reader can easily find a devotional about a specific topic or immediate need.
Thank you to Worthy Publishing for providing me with an advanced copy of this book.

This author has a steady, encouraging voice that is very calming for stepparents looking for help. I enjoyed the snippets of case studies and the author's personal stories. The Biblical approach of this book helps stepparents remember there's a bigger picture out there, beyond the daily stepfamily trenches.

This was a great read! So many examples that we step parents can relate to. Creative approach to common situations and sensible advice. I appreciate the "place of love" that this book came from. It really touches home and helps you realize that you are not the only one with the unique struggles of a step parent. Highly recommend to blended families!
