Ready for a new, hilarious purple romp where the roles have been switched?
It’s not fair that only males get to go out and pillage the universe. Being born a female automatically means staying home and birthing the next generation of warriors.
Azteriya has other plans.
She has a dream of traveling the galaxy and exploring strange new worlds. Fighting fierce foes. Of clubbing a viable male to bring home to her mother so that her transgression is forgiven.
When a chance to escape arises, she takes it, but what will Azteriya do when she not only finds the adventure she’s been seeking but love too?
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
Filled with humor, this sci-fi romance is engaging, and entertaining with a couple of hot and sexy interludes. A female warrior wanna-be escapes her mother’s clutches to find her destiny. Little does she know her destiny is a human.
I liked Azteriya for her kick butt readiness. She wavered a bit on the confidence but pulled through in the end. Ditto Jedrik.
A sample of the humor: Chapter 1 title heading “MANY GALACTIC ROTATIONS later (which for the humans reading stands for years)…”
Jedrek and Azteriya were my fun, cracky fix for the week. Azteriya is oblivious to the chaos she can cause but I liked that for some reason, since it's real gender swap when it comes to attitudes. She's the pompous arrogant one, and Jedrek's the rational one who eventually falls for her strength of will and personality. There were a couple of cringey moments during the sex descriptions, and the mild delay before the final climactic scenes weren't my cuppa, but otherwise, I enjoyed their romance. If you like alien sci-fi rom, you may enjoy this.
While the premise for this story had a lot of potential, I found the execution lacking. Several small things really didn't work for me. Not nearly as clever as #7.
Read it because it's another piece of this universe.
This is a funny adventurous romance that takes place among the stars. An arrogant, strong, stubborn warrior alien and a human raised among a different alien race cross paths only to fall for each other. They battle others and themselves. It's fun and a little tongue in cheek at times. I really enjoy this author, and this book is no different.
Eve Langlais can come up with some interesting and fun characters. This time it is the human male and Azteriya, a purple female, who wants to go out and fight and pillage. I loved the set up and how Azteriya came to first like and then love that human male. They had a fun romp with Azteriya getting her wish to fight and finally find her mate. Great set up for new stories in the Alien Abduction were also included in the plot and story line.
I'm not even going to attempt to spell the h's name. She, unlike most of the purple women, only has 2 boobs. She's also apparently a runt (because of the lack of that third boob or because she's smaller? No explanation given). Her dad taught her to fight. She resists her mom's attempts at mating her off. And when the opportunity presents itself (her dad allows it, you find out later), she sneaks aboard the H's ship.
The H is a human, stolen as a child, and rescued from being dinner I suppose by a Maez - a lizardish...humanoid? who adopted him and raised him. He's had a few enhancements so he's a little more than your average human. That's pretty much all we know - other than he has body hair. Yeah, ok. A description would be nice - eye color, hair color, that sort of thing. I guess he's latino but...maybe not? I guess that based on his inner thoughts regarding her prejudice against humans. Something about discrimination and emigration.
In any case, the h is an arrogant hot head and doesn't listen to anything or anyone, which leads to them being captured and on the menu at a fight arena. Which leads to her fatally injuring the beastie he was supposed to be eaten by, which lead to his killing the being who owned the joint, followed by his absconding with the being's oversized gun, and managing to shoot the seal, leading to the destruction of the asteroid base, and well...
Eventually, her father retrieves her, whereupon she reveals that she's knocked up by a human, who shows up shortly thereafter to kidnap her (her race's traditional courtship method, dontchaknow), which has to be elaborately staged because he proceeds to faint upon hearing there's a bun in the oven.
Ultimately, it's better than the last one. That said, I didn't find the h very likable. She was borderline TSTL.
A twist on our favorite purple aliens as we meet Azteriya, a Kulin lady who is not content to just be a baby making machine on Aressotle. She wants to be a warrior like the menfolk. Her father has always encouraged her training and desires, but once her mother puts her foot down, there is no hope for her going on an adventure. Or is there?
Azteriya manages to stow away on the Attlus, with a tall and broad captain. She hasn’t seen anyone else on the ship, but then is caught by human Jedrek (said with a significant sneer). What is he doing here? Humans are barbarians at most, and food at least! The captain agrees to let her stay on board as long as she works with the human as a crew member – oh the shame!
When a transaction goes wrong on another world, Azteriya gets to show her mettle and release her frustrations. After a glorious and successful battle, things go sideways. The captain isn’t all that he seems, and Jedrek needs healing. She finds herself reluctantly caring for him (ugh) and the feelings he ignites in her.
They finally put aside their differences, just in time for her to be unwillingly returned to her family. Will love overcome the obstacles between them, or will she just accept her fate and choose a suitor from her own kind? Will Jedrek give her up readily, or will he channel his inner Earthling barbarian and go get his woman?
I loved the strength in Azteriya, in not just giving up her dreams to meet her society’s norms. She longed for adventure, and she went for it. Now it’s not only the boys who get to play anymore!
loved loved loved this one. I had been waiting for this since it was announced and it didn't disappoint. Azteriya was hillarious and arrogant just like all of her kind and Jedrek was a reminder that not all human men are trash.. even if he was raised off world by another alien race lol. he still turned out pretty good. the fact that Azteriya was so prejudice against Jedrek was a surprise though.. like I didn't expect her to instantly like him because of how different human males are from her kind but to be so outwardly speciesest (?) that surprised me and made me think about how difficult it must be for the other human mates of her people when they go to the planet to visit family. anyways... this book is Full of laughs and action and super steamy heat and I love it... I really hope there are more even though Eve Langlais has said that the previous one to this was the last.. I'm hoping now more doors have been opened in her creative mind :)
I was really excited to read this book, I love the idea of a girl alien abducting a human man. Throughout the book I had mixed feelings for Azteriya. At first, I wanted her to go get her adventure, and then I though she was a selfish jerk, and then she started to grow on me and by the end of the book I loved her. Even when she is being condescending she is hilarious and she cracked me up from the first page. I liked Jadrek as well. He has a sad backstory but has found his place and he defiantly was not expecting Azteriya. Their story is funny and sweet and hot. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an alien abduction story. I also love the teaser for Dorrys story and I can’t wait to read that one too!
Another epic flight of piracy on the high space/in the high space?? anywho another great book in the purple pirate/mercs series we have come to adore. This time, our hero is just minding his business, skuttlebutting around the Galaxies until fate decided his life needed to be a lot more insane. And thus our purple protagonist heroine enters and proceeds to turn his life upside down. Luckily, he can hold his own and make the lady work for her happy ever after. On the negative side there was not as much sarcastic quips and dark humor in this one as we are used to, and that made it drop from full stars to 4. I still loved it, but I love the sarcasm our usual suspects carry in spades and this heroine was more about being a battle babe and less the snarky sidekick.
It is very good and I hope there is more coming in this series. Azteriya doesn't want to be just the one left at home bearing and looking after children. She is a warrior. she stows away on Jedrek's ship and convinces him to let her stay. Although she doesn't realize he is the one she encountered in the engine room and a human at first. With some fights and adventures under their belts, they make out but don't have sex. On his new home planet of Maez with convincing from Azteriya, Jedrek claims her. Her parents rescue her to her displeasure. After awhile, Jedrek goes to abduct her. Her surprise news derails it a bit and Azteriya with her father's help kidnaps him. They settle on Maez where she can be the warrior she wishes to be along with being with her mate.
Reverse Abduction is a wonderfully tantalizing and highly original sci fi romance. It will leave its mark on you without you even realizing it. The amazing characters will have you laughing, cheering, and rooting for them the entire time. What a marvelous adventure that I can't wait to continue!
These fascinating characters are at odds with each other the entire time until their hearts show them the truth of their situation. I love this brilliant couple so hard!! They will not confirm to any opinion but their own. What they find along their journey will warm your heart and make it sing for years to come!
The narration is superb! I couldn't get over how amazing how her voice brought so much life and meaning to this already powerful story. It is truly magic!
Azteriya is a naive woman attempting to forge her own path, much to the dismay of her mother. She wants to be a warrior like her father, and unlike any other female of her species. Too bad her father did not instruct her in the true nature of others. She often puts herself and those around her at risk while continuing to believe she knows everything and can fight her way out of anything. Human male, Jedrek, wants nothing to do with this stowaway, but at the same time, he is oddly attracted to her. Azteriya is difficult to like because of her attitude, her way or else, and come off as a pampered princess.
Azteriya is certain that she was born to be a warrior like her father, even though her mother and their society believes she should find a man to bear children with. With the help of a friend, she takes to the skies as the stow-away on a ship. When she is discovered by a human, Azteriya cannot believe the ship's commander trusts the hairy creature. After finally experiencing adventure and attending the wedding of the human, she begins to see that war isn't everything.
If you've been waiting for the next tale in the Alien Abduction series, you will not be disappointed.
I enjoyed it but the heroine got on my nerves a little. I enjoyed how badass she was, or could have been, but she was too naive and stupidly jumped into things.
I ended the story more interested in her friend and that lizard guy, but that could just be because he was a lizard guy lol. When’s that coming? Many books have been written since this one and that one is not one of them. I’m sad. You can’t say coming soon and then not exist a year later after so many releases and even making the series into bundles. I guess I’ll just keep an eye on her and see if it ever comes. I do plan on trying her new series but I got a lot to get to right now so we shall see.
Azteriya what a adventure she has been trained as a warrior by her father. But her mother want her to do her duty get married and have kids. But that’s not for her. So she gets on a merchants ship to get off the planet. Thinking the commander is this big guy. When a human man finds her hiding she doesn’t want to listen to him because she thinks humans are inferior. But the commander lets her stay. All is fine tell while escorting the commander she fines the aliens he is doing business with are trying to cheat him in the battle the commander get hurt that’s when she finds his secret. So enjoy and see how it all works out!!
azteniya was on a planet that women only good for cooking and having babies. her father raised her to be more and to be able to fight but her mother isn't having it. no she wants her to give up her dreams marry who ever and have babies because. that's what they do. so she runs away on a ship that has landed. Jedrek is the poor human who owns the ship she jumped on to and causing all the trouble lol. poor guy doesn't know if he should toss her out the airlock or kiss her. love the crazy action in this it's non stop, drama, entertaining, and funny. it was realy great. I highly enjoyed it.
This is the first of Eve's super popular "purple" series that I've read, and now I see why people love it! Azteriya was the kind of Kulin warrior I'd like to have as a BFF, running around the galaxy causing mischief with. Well, honestly, she kind of reminds me of one of my RL BFFs who KIND OF gets a bit carried away. Luckily, Jedrek is here to tether Azteriya a bit, even though she's adamant that she's not into marriage, OR humans! It was a fantastic fun sci fi romantic adventure, a perfect summer read!
A fun, quick, enjoyable story where we see almost a bit of role reversal as Asteryia is determined to find adventures away from the serviant baby making life her mother has planned for her. She has the soul of a warrior and is determined to live life as she sees fit. She's a fighter alright but very naive in the way of life outside her planet. Good job she finds a very likeable human male (underling....) to show her the way, if only they can survive long enough in the chaos that ensues!!
Have it in audio This was a short listen This listen had me cracking up but only the way Eve a Langlais does. Her writing style great . She knows how to blend love imagination and down to earth like only she does. I have learn to like The narrator very well This is an out of your world story.
Heroine is Azteriya . Hero is Jedrick . The heroine is stubborn and she thinks she is one step higher than any human. Grab it and see how they both interact
This was hilarious. If you think that the Purple warriors are arrogant, mercenary and misogynist, wait until you read this and meet Azteriya. She is Kulin to the core. I love her and Jedrek is a blessed Human. LOL
I've been wondering what was happening with Clarabell and it was nice to have her appearance. I hope that it won't be long before we get her story. Dorrys, Azteriya's best friend, should have an interesting and fun story too.
I loved the girl, she was energetically independent and seriously myopic. Her adventures were epic! I loved the way Jardek reluctantly fell for her, even though she was like the worst arrogant and self involved alpha ever. Her name still throws me, but that is the only negative that I have on this book. It was funny, you should read it! I can't wait to see who abducts Doryss!
Loved It! It's just like the previous books that I love reading about my purple aliens ? The story has humor, adventure, and a strong willed minded purple female, who was brought up to fight like a warrior. A love story that has steamy hot romance that's not over the top with awesome characters and highly recommended series. Waiting anxiously for your next book just love my purple aliens!
Cute funny read. At times the heroine was stubborn to the point it made you want to slap your forehead and shake your head. But then did something completely funny where you laughed out loud. But her personality is like the other warriors so it's understandable and frustrating and oddly loveable like the previous books. The hero was nice, understanding, patient, strong and not a push over everything you would want in a hero.
I like it! And I'm envious that Jedrek got bio upgrades. I want bio upgrades too! Anyway, it's nice to see the reverse abduction here... Though Azteriya (such a mouthful) was dense, annoying at the start, she kinda grows on you. Kinda. Jedrek didn't deserve that. No wonder Krulin males got human females.
Anyway, I like it despite the annoying female. Hope the next book the female isn't annoying too.
I absolutely loved this book!!! Azteriya was amazing. She's strong, fierce, sassy, and everything that I love in a female heroine. I especially like the banter between her and Jedrek. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I enjoyed how the author flipped things in this story! It is an enjoyable read. There is excitement, humor, and of course romance. Not to mention the heat between the sheets! I wasn't surprised to see that the females from Kulin are just as stubborn as the males of the planet! Well done Eve Langlais.
