"Continuation of a Dream" is the short stories collection of magnaka Reiko Shimizu.
Ms. Shimizu is one of the few female mangaka who focuses on writing Sci-Fi (or at least stories with Sci-Fi elements mixing with romance)
The first story is set in the future, a spoiled heiress (her late parents had left her enough fund to buy plenty of planets) kidnapped a famous rock star to be her companion, but the rock star had a lover back on Earth…so how would he get himself out of this mess? LOL
“One day you’ll meet someone who is willing to stay with you even if you pay them nothing, but that person isn’t me.”
The ending of this short story is quite bittersweet, I like it, I do hope the 16 years old spoiled heiress would continue to change for the better. XD
As with all of Ms. Shimizu’s other manga, the artwork is lovely, delicate and dreamy. The first story is the best but the other stories are a bit less interesting, so 3 stars only.
