I always start a new book in this series, feeling conflicted. That being said, I am usually completely engrossed in the story by the end and need the next book right away... Rebecca Royce is the queen of cliffhangers. I don't know if there is a single book in this series that ends without one. Keep in mind that this is an RH series, and so follows the same concept as every other book in this series where the female main character will end up with more than one man.
As I have said in almost every review, I do not like when a 'series' changes its main character in subsequent books. In the Wings of Artemis series, each main character gets 2 books and then is relegated to the background so that a new female, that we have usually heard about in the last book gets to come into the spotlight. While I love the fact that we still get to see the previous main characters that we have grown to love, I feel like it always takes me too long to get used to the next one.
This book, and the next, are Waverly's books. She is the half-sister of the Sandlers who are Paloma's husbands in the previous 2 books. I was not too sure how much I liked her at first. She is very different from the other women whom we've met- she is not considered 'beautiful.' I had a hard time telling if this was a fact or if it was her opinion. She rags on herself so much in the beginning of the book, that it got a bit annoying, and then was perfectly fine after she gets to know her own guys.
Now these guys. Amazing. Again, because we haven't seen them too much in previous books, I really wish we had gotten to know them more. (Rebecca could really expand all of her characters' stories into multiple more books, and I would devour them.) I felt that there were times, where facts about these characters were just thrown to us with no background, and really just wish to have more about them. I prefer character-driven stories, and so always want more character moments.
I felt like this book took a bit longer to establish the relationship than some of the previous books; however, it also felt fast because this book covered less time than previous ones. I mean, after seeing a guy around for months, but never talking to him, then actually speaking to him for a few days, why are we all of a sudden in 'love'? I could understand a crush, or lust, but the romance felt rushed.
However, one area where this story, and series, really shines is in the fact that the overarching plot is consistent from one book to the next, even through the switching of the main characters. Yes, parts of the plot are resolved (if not, there would be too much going on), but there is an actual flow for why the author has changed the characters, and that is to keep the plot going.
Final warning, keep in mind that Rebecca Royce is the queen of cliffhangers. She knows exactly what she is doing, and she knows that I now need the next book right away. No matter how long it takes me to be completely enthralled with the story, characters, and relationship, I always fall in love eventually and the cliffhangers make me want the book before I even finish reading.

Oh my Lawd!! What a book. This was one of the books you hate for it to end. She was able to put so much emotion and you would feel like you where there. Waverly deserved so much in life but got nothing but pain and suffering from her father. All I could think is why someone hasn't kilt this MF by now. When her guys start to pay attention to her she ddn't believe it. But Canyon, Rohan, Ari and Jackson. Waverly started to blossom, love and fight for her little family. Of course happy didn't last long, especially when a war is happening.
I truly adored this book. The feeling that I experienced while reading it was intense.

Waverly. The unwanted Sandler daughter. Mentally and physically abused by her father all her life, she's struggling to settle in to her new life on The Farm. She's a great nurse so she gets to pass her time helping others. Until she's chosen for a special mission. It just so happens to be with the 4 men she's been dreaming about since her arrival. This new job opens her eyes to all kinds of secrets and new experiences. Not only does she have to adjust to all these changes, she has to survive.
If you have read all the books in the series then you have already met our main characters in this book. If you are like me, you've been waiting on pins and needles for their stories. I fell in love with Ari wayyy back when, and I'm so glad to finally get to focus on him and his story. Jackson caught my attention when he popped in a couple books ago and I've been biding my time waiting for more. Our super soldiers came in strong and they are always a mystery. I enjoyed getting to know more about them. And our poor Waverly. She's been so beat down and broken. How can she ever overcome all her emotional issues and realize that she, even though not perfect, can be, and is, loved fiercely? Y'all wanted your imperfect female lead and Rebecca delivered. She's not beautiful, she's not tiny, she's not confident. She is someone you can't help but love though.
I have to say, I've read all the books in this series and I fell in love with each set of characters. This group is my favorite though. They caught my heart with all their pain, they drew me in with all their loyalty. I'm not a crier in books. It takes a lot to bring me to tears. While I didn't actually have any fall, I definitely teared up with this one.
We don't just have the emotional issues to deal with though. We are in the middle of a war. We are still trying to take down Waverly's dad, the Sandler cartel, and also Evander Corporation. Things are really picking up and while they are making progress against them, there are things at play that they could never imagine. Evander has stepped up their game and things get instense!
Like the other books in this series, Waverly and her guys will get two books. So while we aren't really hanging off the cliff by a limb, things are not resolved in this book. Light Unfolding will be their second book and I personally hope it comes out soon!! I fell so in love with this group and my heart is breaking for them right now. They are a fierce, loyal, smart and determined group. I have no doubt they will fight their way through this next obstacle with a hell of a story to tell.

Small acts of kindness mean a lot when you've spent your life brutalised and alone... but love is something unexpected...
OMG, I love this series. Centred around the resistance led by the mysterious Makenna and set within the ongoing war between the Sandler Cartel and Evander Corporation as they battle to control the galaxies at either end of the black hole discovered in the first story, I was hooked by this terrific book from the very first page and really didn't want to put it down... at all. Filled with action, battles, betrayal, a mind bending paradox or two, a touch of humour and some steamy scenes, it's also filled with love, hope and the promise of a wonderful future for five people whose lives have been filled with loneliness and brutality. Reading as their relationship grew into something truly special and previously unknown to any of them was a complete joy. I absolutely loved it and really can't wait to read the next book in this fantastic sci-fi romance series.
Well written in the first person by Rebecca Royce, an author I've been reading for quite a few years and one of my favourites, each of the stories in the Wings of Artemis series of reverse harem science fiction romances comes in two parts, is connected to all the other stories so far, and each of the first books in a story ends not so much on a cliff-hanger as a 'to be continued'. Dark Demise is no different in that respect, being the first of the two books telling the story of nurse Waverly Sandler and the men who love her. Rohan and Canyon, both Ex-Evander Corporation super-soldiers who got sick of killing and managed to escape, Jackson, the son of parents who betrayed Melissa in the first Wings of Artemis story, and Ari, a brilliant doctor who was kidnapped, experimented on and tortured by Garrison Sandler, the psychopathic head of the Sandler Cartel and Waverly's hated father. I won't give away any of the details or give spoilers, but told primarily from Waverly's point of view, parts of this story had me in tears, and parts had me chuckling happily. Fathoming out some parts, especially when it came to a paradox, also gave me something of a headache, but didn't stop me reading this gripping story, filled with twists and turns. I was only sorry when I got to the end, because I wanted to know the rest of the story and now I'm on tenterhooks waiting for the concluding book to come out.
Well worth every one of the 5 stars I've given it and now on my list of books to rescue if the house was burning down.

But she is a good Sandler as she is definitely not like her father at all. She is a nurse, who enjoys helping people and babies. All through her life she was told she was ugly and will be nothing of use to her father. So when four dashingly handsome men come out of no where stating that they trust no one but her helping them. Then they start making statements that they may just love her. She honestly thinks they are full of.... Because who can love a Sandler woman as ugly as her. And what makes everything worse is there are people after all of them. Can she get down to bottom of whats wrong with her crushes? And whose trying to sabotage their home?

There are simply not enough stars for this unique story of Waverly and her gorgeous men! Once I began to read it, there was no putting it down. I've never been a fan of Sci-fi so I was surprised that I could really enjoy this book. I am so happy I got the chance to read it, and I can't wait for the next book! If you too don't seem to be a fan of Sci-fi, don't let it hold you back from this read because I promise it's awesome and worth a chance!!

Canyon and Rohan, two mighty Super Soldiers, Jackson the security expert and Ari the damaged psychaitrist working as a doctor at the Farm all love Waverly the daughter of the vile and evil (funny how they use the same letters!) Sandler.
Rebecca Royce's Wings of Artemis series has all the gripping SciFi action of Catherine Asaro's Skolian Empire novels and all the deep, RH romance we have come to expect from Ms. Royce, the master of RH! Her broken boy heroes are as wonderful as Sherilyn Kenyon's League and Dark-Hunters. Ms. Royce is able to do in a couple of hundred pages what takes Ms. Kenyon around 1000 pages.
I love to slow down as I read this books and roll around the perfectly crafted plot and the fascinating on going war and all the extended family of characters.
I can't recommend this enough, if I am being completely honest. I recommend if for the SciFi/Space Opera lovers as much as the Romance reader.
It is sad that we are moving into a purely digital age as these books should at the very least be published in Trade Paperback!

As far as storylines go for the WoA series, this one is the best by far. The plot of Dark Demise is more developed that prior books in the series. There are multiple action events that take place in the story (as opposed to the more pastoral feel of the previous stories). While Waverly isn’t my ideal main character due to her overwhelming amount of insecurities, I think the author addressed these is a way that wasn’t overly dramatic or annoying. Waverly recognizes that the issues are based in trauma and not necessarily in reality so it makes it a little easier to stomach the self-deprecating comments and thoughts. The relationship development moves extremely fast in the story (although we’re led to believe it’s been ongoing for months). Overall I think this book really marks a lot of positive advances in Rebecca Royce’s writing style.

Waverly is by far my favorite of all the women in this series. I love that she is not traditionally beautiful on the outside but kind and smart and sweet and strong. I really felt for her with all of her insecurities believing that no one could ever love her. Then all of her men trying so hard to show her that she was beautiful and Waverly not really seeing that. I liked that we got to see a lot of things that happened in previous books in the series kind of came together here. This book was awesome cannot wait for book 8 so I can continue watching Waverly grow and hopefully destroy her father.

‘Dark Demise’ book 7 in the Wings of Artemis series, is another great read of Rebecca Royce’s. I absolutely love this series! The overall story arc continues from the previous books with this one being about Waverly Sandler and her four hot men; Canyon, Rohan, Jackson and Ari. At the end of the book the author tells us that the rest of the story will continue, very soon I hope, in ‘Light Unfolding’ book 8.
If you haven’t read this series yet I don’t recommend you start with this book. They really do need to be read in order, starting with ‘Kidnapped by Her Husbands.’ This is a multi-generational sci-fi series. Each female leads story is told over the course of 2 books, so don’t expect any resolutions since this is the first of Waverly’s books.
I couldn’t wait to get Waverly’s story and I wasn’t disappointed. After suffering years of physical and emotional abuse from her father, the evil Garrison Sandler, Waverly has finally been rescued and is currently living at The Farm with all the other rebels fighting her fathers invading forces, as well as the equally evil Evander Corporation.
There is a traitor in their midst, which was a little too easy for me to figure out who it was early on, but it still made for a good twist at the end when the villain causes some destruction that finally gives us the answer to how the time machine ever ended up in the cave on the planet Orion, in a galaxy far away, several books ago. Reading anything about time travel usually gives me a headache, but Rebecca managed to keep the paradoxes to a minimum.
This series is told from the female characters first person point of view through most of the stories. We only ever get anything told from the male leads point of view in small snippets. This usually doesn’t work for me in romance, but when you are dealing with reverse harems, and multiple partners, I think it really is the only way it can be done without the story getting too cluttered being in everyone’s head. For whatever reason, it really does work for this series.
I loved Waverly and all of her insecurities. And her men. Big sigh.....Canyon and Rohan; the genetically enhanced Super Soldiers created by the Evander Corporation, Jackson; the tattooed bad boy ex-pirate and Ari; the psychiatrist captured and tortured by the Evander Corporation with his resulting hallucinations, or are they? Another random conversation about possible multiple timelines that got me to thinking.
I just adored all of them together. Rebecca really knows how to write reverse harem stories. Set in a world where woman are scarce, it works for the storyline that several men would share a woman. I think what makes it special to me is that the men in all these stories, if not related by blood, have close ‘brotherly’ relationships that make the sharing of one woman seem so much sweeter and intimate because of it (unfortunately, for this reader, there is no man on man action so get your mind out of the gutter). Every once in a while Rebecca even throws me a bone and has a few of them ‘share’ the woman together. I don’t know why, but I love it when that happens. Maybe she will give us a little taste of that in ‘Light Unfolding’ with Waverly and a few of her men? Hint, hint.
So if you have read the other books in this series, you definitely won’t be disappointed in this one. If you haven’t, and want to read something a little different in a romance series, don’t hesitate to pick up the first book in the series and give it a shot. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

So if you have read the other books in this series, you definitely won’t be disappointed in this one. If you haven’t, and want to read something a little different in a romance series, don’t hesitate to pick up the first book in the series and give it a shot. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Waverly is a Sandler, there's no denying it. However, she's nothing like her father. She doesn't have the blond-haired, blue-eyed Sandler good looks. She's not pretty and petite like the other Sandler women. Instead, she has bright red hair, brown eyes, too much padding on too many curves, and she's nearly 6 feet tall. In her father's eyes she is worthless; too ugly to serve him any purpose. He has brainwashed her since her first breath that she is a burden, worth nothing, unlovable. That's not the way the world sees her, however. Sure, some superficial people judge her on her less than model-worthy looks, but everyone that knows her knows what a treasure she is. She's an incredible lady, a skilled nurse, kind to all. She's lonely and has no self-confidence but she touches every life she comes in contact with. When Waverly is asked to be a part of the secret time project it brings her into the inner circle of the farm. She's working closely with the time jumpers, the 4 men who rescued her from the auction block; the 4 men she secretly crushes on. Ari, the doctor who suffers from hallucinations; Jackson, the former space pirate trying to redeem himself; and 2 super soldiers Rohan and Canyon. These men see Waverly for who she truly is, the woman they want, the woman they love. To be together they will have to survive murder attempts, chemical disease warfare, and space itself.
I wasn't sure about this story before I started it. I knew it would be well-written. I knew it would be a great sci-fi adventure with a solid love story. I love Rebecca Royce and I love the Artemis series but I didn't like the idea of a lead female so harshly judged on her looks and lacking self-confidence. I should not have been worried. This is a beautiful story. Five untraditional and damaged characters come together as one perfect family. It proves that love sees the truth of people. We can accept the unusual in one another, we can support and cherish the uniqueness. I found this story deeply moving. It gave me hope. That fictional characters can have this power is amazing. When Waverly began to trust, when Ari lost his shame, when Jackson found his future, when Rohan found his humanity, and when Canyon found his light I was completely enchanted. These characters, their love, and their story are more than worthy to join the Artemis series. Waverly is a Sandler in the best possible ways. I will say this book is a roller-coaster ride for emotions. For every good moment, there is a setback. Between the Sandler Cartel and the Evander Corporation, the universe and humanity are at risk. It's an amazing juxtaposition of desires; a man who wants absolute power, a corporation who wants every known resource and, both entities willing to destroy everything in their path to obtain their goals and a group of people who only want to live and love in peace. Their determination to have a safe home, family and future has inspired two generations of heroes so far. We still have a way to go until happily ever after is a possibility. This book ends with a brilliant twist that ties so many things together, yet is so heartbreaking at the same time. It's time for Artemis to fly again. We need another miracle out of her. I can't wait!!!!

I’m a big fan of Wings of Artemis series it's a reverse harem, I have read all seven books Dark Demise is a Fantastic book that I enjoyed reading. It’s the story of Waverly Sandler and the four men who will fall in love with her. The four men are friends Ari, Jackson, Rohan and Canyon then the four of them fell in love with Waverly. Rebecca Royce is one great and clever lady, with the reverse harem series, she has created a world of the future, It is the world that of course there is a shortage of women, this book is one that shows you love is more than looks. Immersed in her own world, of taking care of everyone but herself. This book is a suspenseful, emotional and captivating read which I enjoyed this book immensely. This story pulled me in immediately, even including the little twist. Ms. Royce writes a great, unrelenting, no-holds-barred, searing sensuality, with a believable world, that's all combine to make this a compelling read. Rebecca Royce with such truly, captivating words has created an intense story, she created four strong, highly readable lovers. Wings of Artemis series is awesome. Dark Demise has humor, the characters are great, there is suspense and romance There are seven books in the series so far, with the seventh being Waverly romance. I really enjoyed reading about Waverly and her men plus following their relationship as it take shape made for a great read. These five are great together. Love is something that cannot be denied and these five will face this fact and soon fight for it. Again book 7 offers drama, suspense, intrigue, action, danger, attractions, lust, love and very emotional feelings. The characters have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality. I enjoy a series that makes me laugh! If you haven't read the other six stories it's best if you read them in order but you can start with book seven but it will make you want to read them all and you will enjoy reading them. I did finish this book in one sitting, because it's a book you just can't put down. I have to say I have enjoyed Rebecca Royce’s foray into reverse harem romance it has paid off, and how. The Wings of Artemis series is a terrific read, and I’m nearly giddy with delight with Waverly romance and you will be too, right from the very first page. I couldn't stop reading until I finish it. Overall, this book was a real treat for the eyes and soul, the interactions are just priceless and so are the numerous surprises along the way. Plus with an ending like this, it is obvious I will do all that I can to get the next book when it releases, I really enjoy this story. what a THRILL RIDE!!!
This series really packs a punch! It definitely keeps the adrenaline going with the non stop action, intrigue, lies, betrayal, romance, sneak attacks and more. A world with super soldiers, warring factions book want to take over the universe, and rebels intent on ending this war to find peace for people. You don't have to have read the previous books in this BRILLIANT series to enjoy it....however I personally recommend doing so to give you a better understanding of the characters, and who they all are to one another. It will also help you better understand this insane war, and the multiple factions involved. I adore Waverly...she's one of my favorite people in this series....I enjoy seeing her bloom. Between down emotionally and physically for most her life by dear old Dad, she now has a warped view of herself. She's socially awkward thanks to years spent alone....and only now just getting to know her brothers. True family is a new concept to Waverly, and quickly becoming a wonderful thing. Thanks to her family and a small group of close family friends she slowly begins to see herself as they do....This book, and series is great fun to read. Between all the intrigue, hidden traitors, suspense and new romantic feeling surfacing its one thing after another....you will NOT be bored that's for certain!! Just be warned it DOES end on a cliffhanger....so if you frontline those I'd suggest waiting for the next book in this series and read them back to back. This series is well worth the read!!! I just discoveries series thanks to book 1....and quickly found I had to read them all!! So this weekend was spend reading each and every book in this action packed series. Waverly was so mistreated by her father. She has very low self esteem and doesn't value herself as she should. She is an excellent nurse and saved her sister-in-law from great harm at great risk to herself. She can't believe that there are men out there that want her.
I have really loved this series. Waverly is a new favorite. She is so hard-working and expects so little from others. She really deserves to feel valued and beautiful. There are men out there for her and they are determined to show her who she really is and how special she is to them.
She gets some good men. Ari has been in the series the longest and is a cousin of her brothers. He was harmed greatly by her father too and is suffering the effects. He acts so confident and flirty with other woman but has a hard time showing Waverly how he feels. Rohan and Canyon are super soldiers still learning their way around people but determined to treat her right. Jackson is a man with a difficult past and wants to believe he deserves happiness with her.
This first book of their story is another really good addition to the series. The men really try hard to show her how desirable they find her. She is also helping them with their secret mission and learning more about the behind the scenes of their community.
Be prepared for the cliffhanger at the end and the wait to see what is next for the characters. If you haven't already read the other books, take time to check them out.

While that may be how some folks see her, it is not how the guys see her or Paloma or Diana or Melissa. They all see a beautiful, intelligent and talented woman.
If you have been following this series then you know a bit about the possibility of time travel. This book takes that further as Waverly is asked to help out Ari, Jackson, Rohan and Canyon.
There is a lot that goes on in this one and I am hard-pressed to choose a favorite scene as there are many. But I think I have to go with the one where Jackson joins Waverly at lunch after she and Ari deliver Paloma's baby. Jackson pretty much ignores everyone but her, and those he doesn't he puts in there place.
Many things happen from here, as each of the four men make their unique move on Waverly. To say she is stunned is an understatement.
Time travel takes on a whole new meaning, even as there are those plotting against them. Romance and trust grows slowly as circumstances go wildly out of control.
I laughed, I cried and damn these guys are sexy, sweet and deadly too. Our heroine is put through a lot and I can't wait to see what happens next!

I have loved the Wings of Artemis series, and was not at all disappointed by Dark Demise. Waverly was a perfect female role for this story. I loved that she was not your traditional version of attractive, and instead as a reader you love her for her overall ‘goodness’.
Life on ‘the Farm’ as they are referring to it, is seemingly safe and a bit routine. That is, until the day Waverly Sandler suddenly joins a secret group. Unbeknownst to Waverly this group has more interest in her, than her medical skills.
Her childhood growing up was very unpleasant, and one would think this would tarnish her views on life; but it mostly didn’t. Each of her love interests too have flaws and pasts that are less than ideal, but somehow this band of ‘misfits’ joins together to create this beautiful example of love and family.
You are rallying for Waverly and ‘her guys’ from the moment the story begins. I truly have loved this story, and can not wait to see what happens next in the exciting life of Waverly.

I don't know what I can say about this series that I haven't already but LOVE IT! After reading the last book I thought I knew who the men would be in this one and I love being right and wrong. So didn't see it all and what a great surprise! Waverly is a wonderful woman who so deserves her men! And oh those men Jackson, Rohan, Canyon and Ari what can you say but HOT! They're all so different except for how they feel for her.
This story picks up the continuing storyline and gives some surprises, suspense and of course the heat you have to have with all of these couples! You get to know the back stories with Waverly and her men and that makes them real to the reader. The others are in this also and it's always great to see them! You have to read these books in order to fully get it and well because they're great reads. Now the wait for the next book because as always the ending in this one is a killer!

Dark demise is part one of Waverly Sandler’s story. While this is a great addition to the Wings of Artemis series, I would strongly recommend reading the series in order. Waverly is the half-sister to the Sandler brothers (Paloma’s men). She was raised by the abusive Sandler father. It is quite charming to see this woman who believes herself undesirable blossom through the often awkward and humorous courting of the four men who desire her. The overall plot also moved forward the rebels battle against both the Sandler cartel and Evander corporation in an unpredictable way. It was seamlessly tied together with events from prior books in the series. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the chance to read part two of Waverly’s story.

I soooo adore this series! Every book is better than the last, even though that seems like an impossibility. This book was certainly no exception. It was absolutely phenomenal! I have come to love these characters so much. They are authentic and engaging, and beyond compelling. They draw you into the story like no other can. I have always had a soft spot for Arie, so I just loved seeing him finally find someone. He’s been through a lot, but Waverly really seems to get him. All of Waverly’s men are extraordinary. It was truly a beautiful thing, watching their love story unfold. This book was impassioned and intriguing, romantic and enticing, thrilling and enthralling, and absolutely riveting. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet, sexy, and compelling read.

What an awesome book to continue the Wings of Artemis Series! This book is about Waverly who was previously introduced in book 6. She's a little different from the previous MCs of this series. She's less confident due to previous mistreatment and describes herself as not being the typical beautiful petite female that she was brainwashed into believing is the ideal of beauty. While she has low self esteem, she's an amazing nurse and a very strong woman who finds some different but loving men who cherish her. This book still continues with the story line of the war between the Sandler cartel and Evander corp. It does end on a cliffhanger due to this being Waverly's first book and most women in this series get two books before a new MC is introduced. If you haven't read the other books in this series, I would recommend reading those first as this one is a continuation of the storyline.

I am kicking myself for reading this. I forgot that when I started the Wings of Artemis books, the author had noted that each heroine would have 2 books to complete her story. So now, I've gone and invested myself in Waverly and her potential men & the storyline, and wham – now I have to wait for her second book to get a full resolution to her story and HEA. This is a good complaint, just one where I'm not patient to want to wait for the end of a good story.
I really liked Waverly and her men. I am finding it intriguing to see the dynamics they have around her and the layers of personality each has. The one thing I didn't like was the overlamenting that Waverly did about her looks. I got that she was beaten down about who she was and that it made a large portion of her, but it did seem a little much. Otherwise, it was a great story with good angles from the different characters.

I have loved every female MC. But Waverly is my favourite now! I loved her heart and her strength and her kindness. And her very Sandler Trait of determination (or stubborness ) it broke my heart when she talked so matter of factly about being unnattractive. It wasn't wah wah wah im not pretty. And it broke me a little that it was so ingrained in her. Damn her evil father!
All the men were just so wonderful. Being exactly what she needed. And she completed them, healing their wounds and showing then the love they deserved. Love that they showered on her but she was unsure of at first, seeing herself as unnattractive. I can't wait till the second part as this one ended on a cliffhanger. Sooo evil!

This series never gets old! Rebecca continues to enthrall us in this epic sci-fi series. What makes this one so special is that we already know the characters! There is always that wish to see other characters get their own story and Rebecca does not disappoint. However, she does keep us on our toes with new and eye opening revelations in this ongoing saga of battles to save the world from not one, but two power hungry factions. Which one is more evil? It's a toss up really. Of course following her pattern of two books per MC, leaves us with a but of a cliffhanger. I loved how Waverly strives to heal her guys from all their demons while they all work the same magic on her. I am avidly awaiting the next book to see how this all plays out.

A bit of time travel with reverse harem
I'm really not usually a fan of time travel. The idea of it seems messy to me. In this book, I love that the author explains potential ramifications, paradoxes, logically - or at least to the science of this series. I haven't read the others in the series, so I was happy to learn that they can stand alone in two book sets with character cameos in later books. I find it odd that the first two books in the series aren't available on KU but the rest are.
The characters felt like real people who had tragic pasts. Readers cannot help empathizing. I definitely saw the bad person's identity before it was revealed, but not the cliffhanger coming.

DARK DEMISE
I absolutely love this series, I actually think it’s one of my favourite series of all time. And clearly this book is just as fantastic as the others. I love the worlds that this author creates and the characters that fit in it. This story was intriguing and captivating, all round entertaining. I loved Waverly, she was warm and caring, and the guys were awesome, all different and all have their own special qualities. Such a great story. Such a great series. I loved it. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book with my honest opinion.

I loved Waverly, she was warm and caring, and the guys were awesome, all different and all have their own special qualities. Such a great story. Such a great series. I loved it. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book with my honest opinion.

I love the WOA series and this book is a great addition. The storyline continues and it’s excit as all get out!
It’s nice to see characters from previous books get their own stories, this is Waverley’s story. Being Sandlers daughter has meant that she has had a hard life, all she wants to do now is be a good nurse, enjoy her freedom and keep to herself, she was continually told she is ugly and worthless and feels she is destined to be alone but her secret crushes have other ideas
Packed full of action and adventure thus is a fabulous read, the story continues on the the war addled universe, I am super excited for the next book

Well...
This will be a very short review, probably only a few sentences. I'd like to say that I enjoyed reading this and I am glad I was given a recommendation to read it, no regrets. Waverly, very insecure and that is a connection I then made with the book immediately. Next, comes in four men, Ari, Jackson, Rohan and Canyon. I can't say that I fell in love with them straight away, but they did spark a bit of my interest as they started to court her, ending up in a loving relationship and it warmed my heart. Can't wait to read the next book because I swear I almost fainted after reading the cliff-hanger.

Wonderfully sweet and refreshing
I absolutely loved Waverly. She has been neglected and abused, but she really is a shining light. She's kind, sweet, and utterly beautiful inside and out, even if she'd wince if I told her that aloud. Getting to know her and her guys has been a joy. It's also great to see some of everyday life on The Farm. I laughed loudly and heartily during the lollipop scene, and I immediately wanted to start the book over to experience everything again. And I hadn't even finished the book! I did finish the next book and then read this one again... I enjoyed it that much.

I received this book as an ARC. I really liked it. I liked that even though I’d only read the first few books of the series, I could still jump in and have no issues keeping with the story line. I like the main character and how even though she had been told repeatedly growing up that she had no worth, that she wanted to help people and have a rewarding life. The guys she was with had their own issues, but saw her value and they all helped each other to see and help one another. I think this book is a great addition to the series.
