The new world is prospering, but a permanent dent has been made. The glory of planet earth has been tarnished. The after-effects of climate wars have put the world in chaos. No land is left. The normal planet Earth has come to an end. The people call this era: ‘Aftermath of World War Three with Nature’.
Agushti Hoffman is the first survivor who wakes up from a coma. He questions the new reality; everything seems real but it's all artificial. Transparent glasses cover and protect the habitable islands. Ronny Atari works as an agent of the new world government. Soon after Agushti wakes up, his friend, Harley, takes him to a notorious island where they are chased by pirates. They are saved by Ronny who is back from the manufacturing industries also known as Mars. Both the planets, Earth and Mars have a diplomatic relationship.
After the chase — Agushti, Harley, and Ronny end up on a sacred island that is not artificial. There, they discover a secret door to another universe. Hidden earth. Entering that world, Agushti wakes up at the hospital again from a coma. Is this reality an illusion inside Agushti’s mind? Or was this the way from the start – a simulation blunder?
It has been a long journey. From not knowing English to writing a science fiction novel, the whole being needed to be changed.

Cold Time by Shaan Changotra is not your usual sci-fi/fantasy book. The plot is one of a kind and the implementation of the theme is equally unique, so much so that reading it makes you feel as if it’s written by someone from another planet. The story is quite complicated and needs a thorough reading to get it completely, but it is full of adventure.
We are in the future into a world where real life is not worth too much and growth takes place mainly in the virtual world. The world is now in a state of anarchy as a result of the fallout from climate conflicts. There is no more land. The standard way of life on Earth has finally come to an end. This period of time is referred to by the people as the "Aftermath of World War Three with Nature." The story revolves around Agushti Hoffman, the first among the survivors who just woke up from coma after two months. He expresses doubts about the new world; while everything seems true, it is all an illusion. However, none of it matters anymore since he discovered that the world government controls the countries. Ronny Atari is an agent of the new world government. Mr. Mathew, his teacher, explains why, and he even explains why there are only four billion people on Earth.
As soon as Agushti regains consciousness, his friend Harley brings him to an infamous island, where they are pursued by a band of pirates. Ronny, who had returned from Mars, the manufacturing industries, comes to their rescue and saves them. Both planets, Earth and Mars, have an active diplomatic engagement with one another. Following a close encounter with pirates, Agushti, Harley, and Ronny find themselves on an island that was not created by humans. When they get there, they find a hidden door that leads to another hidden world. After passing into that world, Agushti wakes up again from coma in the hospital.
Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder is a dystopian science fiction that takes place in a future where our world is suffering from global warming and climate change crisis and everyone needs a means to escape from this harsh truth. Shaan Changotra takes us on a voyage into a highly gloomy future, which will demonstrate to you the need and urgency of focusing on climate change in the present day and age. It gets a bit tedious sometimes, but it helps that the writer also knows how to write well, and thus puts us into a fascinating and somewhat addictive world. It's hard to get out of it until the end. The author builds around the reader a virtual world that is no longer a science fiction but a real world in the future. It is possible that life on Earth in a hundred years from now will look like described in the book.
The main strength of the book lies not within its plot or characters but within the concepts. The whole concept and world-building of the book is something that resonates with the current world we live in. This is actually a book with good messages about climate change and one that poses interesting philosophical questions about what happens when nature goes to war with humans. On another level, it is a brilliant psychological character study and an observation of group dynamics.
The story is fast-paced, and Shaan Changotra's writing style and streamlined descriptiveness serve to bring the characters front and center at all times. This book is infused with a very real sense of psychological and philosophical questions, and treats its protagonists as fully realized, intelligent, three-dimensional characters struggling with very real questions. The ethical conundrums that arise throughout the novel provide a great deal of tension to the narrative, and the author does an excellent job of encouraging readers to find some semblance of moral high ground in every situation.
Cold Time by Shaan Changotra is thought-provoking, emotionally complex, ethically challenging, and richly colorful, both verbally and visually. The book seems daunting at first, but the author seems to be giving us permission to lose time and place and sense and reason and just string along with the wild meanderings this story presents. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in science-fiction showing a dystopian future.
What the hell it was? I read some 30 pages and I still had no idea what was going on in the story? I couldn't understand even a single page. It was a sheer torture. The story was going nowhere, the characters were not actually charactered at all.
This book needs to be thrown into dustbin instead of giving it a glance.
I dare no book can match the shit this book offers.
Cold times by shaan changothra is one of the best march read.
The protagonist of the story agushti Hoffman wakes up from a coma after 2 months. He was one of the few lucky survivors who got saved by the tragedy caused by climate change on the earth.
When humanity is at the peak of its end, how agushti & his friends will identify the changes they felt in their surroundings?
Is there any big truth that was kept hidden from all of them?
Read this book, to know the rest. I appreciate the author for brilliantly authoring down his plot & at the same time, I appreciate the effort he put to penned down serious issues like deforestation & climate change.
Cold Time : my simulation blunder is a splendid, thrilling science fiction novel by Shaan Changotra. This is the world where no land is left, the planet earth as we know it now doesn't exist anymore. After waking up from a coma, Agushti is confused and is trying to remember everything. What is the voice inside him? Is his reality "real"?
This book was a very different read, I won't be exaggerating if I say I haven't read anything like this before. The premise of this book is a mix of dystopia and science fiction and you get a hint from the title about the main theme of this book. The story has a lot of twists and turns and many well developed characters.
The thing I liked the most is how the story is told, right from the first page, the protagonist is trying to make sense of it all and exploring this new world just like the reader. He has many questions which raise curiosity in the reader to know this world and move forward in the story.
As the story unfolds, it gets more and more exciting with new characters joining in and new adventures taking place. The book, however, demands full attention of the reader and it will stimulate your brain more than your emotions. The narration and world building is what I liked the most about this book. The plot is very different and interesting. If you want to read something interesting and different in science fiction, pick up this book soon!
From the time i read about pandemic in science fiction & then it actually happened, this genre gives me goosebumps.
The scifi is divided into 3 parts; 1 the manufacturing industries 2 death for some, glory for many 3 a curve for the new earth.
It took me a while to take a grasp of the narrative, of what's exactly happening but once I did, it was like I was teleported to a completely different world. After I have read a couple of scifibooks & watched a few scifimovies & after this dreadful corona happened & when I watched ukraine burn & bleed..I am actually not taken by surprise by any wierd happening in this world, any more. I have actually stopped reading & listening to news, it makes me really really sad..there's seldom anything 'humane' about it. Anyways, so Agushti has been in coma & his mom Rose, sis Agatha have been waiting for him to awake for past 2 months. Reading about simulation, space, space shuttle, a fake- real sunrise, dreams..actually blurred "the reality" for me, that's what reading this book does. The atmospheric feel made me feel a bit drowsy, with me wondering if I am living in a little bubble & the entire universe(the part which man is aware of & the one which he's not) is so so at a different level. I could relate to Agushti at so many levels..the anxiety, the feeling of injustice, when even journaling your thoughts doesn't help much & Rose felt like my mom, strong & with pragmatic advice always. The end kept me wondering how some people want to own the world while others are content in small small things.
I recommend reading the acknowledgements at the end, i totally loved the selfless intent of the author at the importance of mental health & his quoting few excerpts from these books; The Hero with a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell Behave: The Biology of Humans at Our Best and Worst by Robert Sapolsky Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.
Cold Time : My Simulation Blunder written by Shaan Changotra is science-fiction story which takes place in the future where our world is facing global warming and climate changes crisis and everyone on there way to escape from this harsh truth. Our Protagonist, Agushti Hoffman is a survivor who was in coma and his mom with his sister were waiting for his recovery, he regains his consciousness from coma and questions the new reality, where he finds everything very different which seems real but all artificial. He wakes his friends up and goes to a notorious island where they were chased by pirates but they were saved and ends up on a sacred Island that is not artificially made. They discovers a secret door to an another universe and when Agushti enters it he finds himself waking up at hospital again from coma.
What just happened? Is this reality an illusion inside Agushti's mind? Or this is the way it will start again-a simulation blunder? Read this amazing story to find out more of it...
The story is divided into three parts- •) The manufacturing industries, •) A curve for the new earth, •) Death for some, Glory for many..., each part defines the plot of the story and gives it a direction. The book is structured and narrated very well with well developed characters. The language is lucid and easy to understand. The cover is very beautifully made. Title completely goes with the plot. Reading this book was an experience for me, I liked reading this book and recommend it to all.
Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder was jotted down by the author Shaan Changotra.
This book is based on science. This book is divided into three parts.
➡ Part I: The Manufacturing industries, AKA Mars
➡ Part II: Death for Some, Glory for Many
➡ Part III: A Curve of the New Earth
Agushti is quite helter-skelter after waking up from the coma. He is trying to recall everything. He wants to recognize what's going on inside him. Is it real or erroneous? His mom and his sister Agatha have been waiting for him with much expectation. The author has represented the fiction very adequately. The characterization is done nicely. The title of the book is quite competent. The cover of the book is very desirable. The language is not that understandable but can be comprehended well if you pay attention. Our climate has been greatly affected since the third world war.
After the third world war, our climate has become very polluted. Due to this, we may have to face an environmental crisis in the coming time. People are not taking this matter seriously but we should pay a lot of attention to this. A unique relationship between Earth and Mars is also shown in this story. Louise, Harley, Mr. Matthew, and Ronny play a vital part.
What would happen if the earth that we know simply stops to exist is a question that most of us must have pondered or contemplated many times over and again.
And even the simple thought is enough to send all of us into frenzy, let alone being able to deal with the circumstances and the consequences of such happenstance.
In the book, ‘Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder’ by author Shaan Changotra, this envisage becomes a reality when our main protagonist wakes up from a coma and finds himself thrust into a new surrounding, which is completely different from what he has known.
Due to the ensuing conflicts pertaining to the climate, there is no land left anymore. Yet, alternatives are being discovered every single day to help life sustain, but its not going to be an easy task.
Few years back, the seemingly new world which the author has very smartly narrated might have been laughed upon, yet today, we see so many technical advancements, that we can believe that it might be a possibility in coming future.
Even today, there are so many testaments, signs and indications that show us how if we are not conscious enough, the results and outcomes for the future generations would not be favorable.
Yet, we continue to destruct our environment and act without thinking of the future. In such regards, this book can be seen as a great eye opener for all of us to take a moment and really think about the imprint that we are leaving behind. I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sci-fi genre isn't my everyday pick, but the cover looked so interesting that I decided to pick this book up. The title is quite intriguing. The story revolves around the protagonist, Agushti Hoffman, who, after waking up from coma started experiencing unusual happenings around him which can lead to destruction of the world. How will Agushti deal with all of this? Read on to find out.
The story is divided into three parts and it's a thought provoking one. The theme is quite unique and the presentation is commendable. I loved how the plot has been woven in an intricate manner. The pace is a little slow towards the beginning but by the middle of the book, the story regains pace. The narration is fine, but could've been better.
The cover of this book seemed so intruging that it was almost impossible to ignore reading this. 💗
Agushti Holhman has been in coma for a while and his mother and sister is taking care of him. The book js mainly divided in three almost equal parts. 💗
The day when he wakes up, he finds strange things happening around him and the changes the earth is going through. 😶
The story is set in future where our world is suffering from global warming and climate change crisis and everyone needs a means to escape from this harsh truth. ✨
The story is somewhat complicated and one need to read it completely to understand it. It is the glory of new technology and the universal changes. It's full of adventures and the story line is quite unique.✨
The story seems stretched at the begging and also one feels like too much is given by as it progresses, the flow become good and understandable.💗
Cold Time- My Simulation Blunder is a Science fiction with a unique concept. The book has been divided into three parts. The manufacturing industries , Death for some, glory for many and A curve for the new earth.

Language used in the book is simple and easily understandable . Characters are well developed and it makes the story even more exciting. It keeps you curious and wanting more. The author also uses references and metaphors to make the story more exciting. This book is full of vivid imaginations and beautifully written. If you love thrillers and sci-fi then you must read this book ❤️
Science fiction books certainly grabs the attention like no other. They might need some significant amount of focus to churn the content but at the same time they kind of open our nerve cells .
The story talks about a man Aghusti Hoffman who is in a deep slumber and finds the world quite different once he wakes up . Though everything seems real to him but it not . The line between illusion and reality has become blurred and he is not able to make much sense of things . A chase ensued and he leads to something in the form of hidden Earth and finds him back to the same place from where he started.
Is it all imaginative? Or did he actual travel the universe? Grab the book to find out.
The story has an exciting storyline. Though it is not something that you haven't heard or even watched before but the treatment is what makes it stands apart. The narration is its USP plus the personal touch to all the characters is what makes it a truly enthralling experience. The plot comes up with its own twists and turns and the world building is splendid as well.
I am not quite sure what to write in this review as the thought "I don't understand what's going on!?" was lodged in my mind for nearly the entirety of this read. For one thing, the editing is not super good; there are several spelling misses, and the writing is quite verbose. Two very mild examples-'the hands of mine' where a simple 'my hands' suffices or 'made me startled' instead of just 'startled me'. All of this did not contribute to a terribly comfortable read; more so for a book of a customarily complex genre of sci-fi.
I constantly felt out of sync with the narration. The few snippets which I did get, I will say I did not dislike. The author talked about embracing a 'Balance Indicator' concept in his new world (post the climate wars on Earth), which was embracing love, kindness and togetherness to live in harmony. The fact that human negligence and a lack of care for the planet Earth caused Nature to wage war, leading to 'World War Three' hit quite close to home.
There are many fabricated concepts, and I do think putting them together must have taken a great effort. Unfortunately, I was unable to appreciate them as they were used with absolutely little to no context in the text.
The best part of the whole 313 pages for me was the 'Acknowledgements' section by the author. It had some excellent quotes from Joseph Campbell, J.K. Rowling, Marcus Aurelius, and others, which were employed to bring the theme behind this work to greater effect.
Fictions especially Scientific fictions are always very close to my heart. From childhood,I read many scientific fictions. "Cold Time" by Shan Changotra is a wonderful science fiction novel about a future dystopian world. The cover page of the book gives a hint about the plot of the story.
Augusti Holman has been in a coma for some time and is being cared for by his mother and sister. The book js mainly divided into three almost equal parts. The day he wakes up, he finds strange things happening around him and the world changing. The story is set in a future world, where the planetary conditions continue to deteriorate, with global warming and other man-made problems, humans can barely survive.
The story was definitely different from other Sci Fi stories which are more realistic and relatable to be honest. A really interesting read. As a science fiction lover, I really enjoyed reading this book for the author's unique narrative style, which makes the story something special, and easy-to-understand language as well.
I rate this book 5/5. My view on this ring is, firstly the author's narrative style that makes the book special and different from other fiction. Secondary, the characters and event description is proper and smooth. The pace of the story is also suitable. And last but not the least, kudos to the author for such a wonderful scientific fiction written in very simple language.
Blech! More interested in being trippy than telling a story.
I have no interest in further reading of this vein. There are significant numbers of poor word choice that should have been caught prior to publishing. Perhaps there is a English translation issue? Mostly it is just circular mind bending for the sake of being different. Not for me.

This book addresses a current problem that our world is facing right now ,that is Climate Change. The whole idea behind the story is thought provoking. This book gives us an idea as to what would happen if we don't take adequate measure against climate change. The book is divided into three parts each comprising of a number of chapters. The first part being "The manufacturing industries AKA mars " followed by "Death for some, glory for many"and" A curve for the new earth".
The protagonist of the story is Agushti Hoffman who wakes up after being in coma for two Months. He wakes up and sees that many things had changed and he was in a completely different world ,a world without land ,where everything is artificial. He was very surprised to find that so much had changed around him in that short duration.
Ronny Atari is an agent of the new world government.
Mr.Mathew is Agushti's teacher who explains to him what really happened and why there are just a few billion people left on earth.

This book clearly shows the imagination power of the author. The way he created every event in the book.He can be referred to as a time traveler who can see really ahead of his time.I wouldn't say that this book is simple to read because the author had used some really complex words.Frankly speaking I had to keep referring to the dictionary in order to get it completely. This book would definitely add a new dimension to your imagination. Although I was a bit confused initially but as I kept reading things started to clear. The authors conversational writing style made me feel like I was a part of it.The books underline message will definitely strike a cord in the reader.I would recommend this book to all science fiction lovers.
A gripping science fiction tale set in a future where environmental degradation has become a worldwide issue.
The story revolves around the protagonist, Agusthi Holhman, who wakes up from a trance state and discovers the drastic changes taking place in the environment of the earth. The book is divided into three sections, each with several chapters that are reader-friendly and easy to follow.
As a reader, I found the first part of the book to be quite confusing, and I must admit that I struggled to grasp what was happening. However, the author has done a commendable job of building a world that is entirely fictional yet feels so real.
The book is incredibly rich in language and descriptive prose, which helps to create a vivid picture of the futuristic world in which the story is set.
The beginning of the book is a little slow-paced, and the story seems to be quite convoluted at times. However, if readers stick with it, they will undoubtedly enjoy the ride. The author has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into crafting this tale, and it shows in the intricate plot and well-developed characters.
One of the standout features of the book is its portrayal of environmental issues. The author has created a vivid and believable picture of a world that is struggling to cope with the effects of climate change, pollution, and deforestation. The descriptions of the devastated landscapes, polluted oceans, and dying wildlife are hauntingly realistic and serve as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to address these issues.
The protagonist, Agusthi Holhman, is a fascinating character who undergoes a profound transformation throughout the course of the story. Initially, he is disoriented and confused, struggling to understand the world he finds himself in. However, as he learns more about the environmental crisis and becomes more involved in efforts to address it, he begins to take on a leadership role and becomes a powerful force for change.
While the beginning may be a little challenging, the payoff is well worth it. The author has created a world that is both familiar and strange, and the story is both thought-provoking and entertaining.
The book's themes of environmentalism and the importance of taking action to address climate change are particularly relevant in today's world and make it a must-read for anyone who cares about the future of our planet.
Life on earth finally comes to a standstill as a result of the Aftermath of World War III with the nature. Agushti Hoffman, the first survivor who wakes up from a two month long coma where everything seems reality yet an illusion.
Nature waging war against Humans. We have often heard this sentence either in the news channel or on articles, whenever there is any natural calamity. Last few years when we were locked in our homes, it was seen that without human intervention nature seemed to be blooming and full of life. Humans have exploited mother nature so much that the day is not far when everything will perish.
The story of Cold time is set in the future where climate crisis is at its peak. Divided into three parts and a total of 52 chapters the author takes us in a tour of the virtual world that he creates in the book. The writer makes us live in a world which can be our very future if climate and environmental crisis are not taken seriously. Although the book is science fiction, yet the message send through the book is evident: We need to take environmental issues seriously.
The plot of the book is very unique. And I think it's really admirable of the author to highlight such a burning topic through the book. I have read sci-fi books about multiverse, beings from other planets going to war with humans but never read a book where nature wages war on humans. So i think the reasearch done by the author on the topic is really worth mentioning.
Although the story starts slow but as we proceed with the book, the story gains it's momentum. The characters are brilliantly described and the writing style of the author is really praiseworthy. But I feel the book needs editing as there are grammatical as well as punctuation errors. I wouldn't say the book is very easy to understand because science fiction is such a genre that blows your mind yet sometimes, without knowing the concepts it can get confusing. But people who love science fiction, you should read this book. Cold Time is a riveting yet thought provoking read.
Its a begining of a new world but a permanent scar has been made. The charm, the beauty of planet earth has been vanished. The after effects of Climate war has have put world into chaos. Nothing is left no land no trees. People call this era "Aftermath of World War Three with Nature"
Cold Time by Shang Changotra is not an example of an usual sci-fic book. Its implementation is one kind and the plot is equally unique. You will feel that its been written by someone else from other planet. The story is quite complicated and needs a one flow throughout reading to get it completely, its the hell of a adventure ride.
Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder is a unique science fiction that takes place in a future where our world is suffering from global warming and climate change crisis and everyone needs a means to escape from this harsh truth. The strong zone of the book lies not within its plot or characters but within the concepts. This is actually a book with good messages about climate change and one that poses interesting philosophical questions about what happens when nature goes to war with humans. In conclusion its gonna be hell ride to the future with hard sense of todays reality which results in future. Go and feel the journey of this unique piece.
Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder by Shaan Changotra the book start with the suspense that. I saw a television in front of my bedroom wall, next to the room door. I was shocked. The windows were closed, which was unusual, and the sensation that I felt this morning was different. It was a slugabed morning for me. The most tantalizing thing for me was that someone was sleeping on my couch, his face covered with a black mask.I returned to the drawing-room, I saw that black mask-wearing guy, now removing his mask.I could feel—this vibration that was giving me this intuition, which my conscious mind couldn't comprehend, was telling me he parachuted from another world. He glanced at me with a faint trace of a smile, as if telling me not to worry. But my brain, it labelled him as a psychological burden, a subconscious gesture that had to be marked out by my primal desire: what lies outside unexpected was a threat, and panic just distorted the natural order of being. In my case, it baffled me.The stranger who wore a black mask was gone, leaving me with the conjectures of what could have happened the night before. But my curiosity didn't end there: seeing that black mask lying on the shelf of the kitchen, my skin began to sweat. It enabled me to hold my gun tight as I came near the mask. But the mask, the eerie darkness in it, was enchanting because it had many mysterious white dots on it of different shapes and sizes this .This book is filled with suspense and thrill the reflect and Imagine part of the book was something different to create impact in the readers mind the writer worked effectively in writing down this piece, which was so incredibly composed and perfectly created.Through his marvellous writing,The whole plot is intensely engaging the characters are also very well built. I absolutely loved every page of it. Of course I would recommend this book to all readers... Outstanding Read.....
Cold Time is not a usual sci-fi story. Set in a dystopian world in the future, the story is both an alternate reality and a warning to the human race as to what the future could hold, depending on your perspective.
Cold Time is the story of Agushti Hoffman, who wakes up from a coma. As soon as Agushti regains consciousness, his friend Harley brings him to an infamous island, where they are pursued by a band of pirates and rescued by Ronny. Soon Agushti, Harley, and Ronny find themselves on an island where they find a hidden door that leads to another hidden world. After passing into that world, Agushti wakes up again from a coma in the hospital. Is this all a reality or an illusion inside Agushti’s mind? What is the truth and what is a simulation blunder?
Set in a dystopian world, Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder takes place in a future world where our world is suffering from global warming and climate change crisis. The book tackles some futuristic themes like WWIII with nature, climate wars, anarchy, and artificial islands; it’s all very unique and exotic and a reader may take time to get a grasp of everything that is going on but as you get the hang of it, the story will grip you till the end.
The unique story and the distinctive narrative style sets the story apart from other sci-fi stories. Even the world-building is excellent, making the story come alive. The best thing about the story is that it poses a lot of philosophical questions to the readers: Is this the future that awaits humankind? What is real and what is imagination? : all projected through the dilemmas faced by the characters in the book. The story has a lot of twists and turns that will keep you entertained.
Overall, Cold Time is a complex sci-fi story full of thrills and adventure but also makes you ponder and introspect. It has a unique and intense story, borrowing from reality and some from imagination. If you love sci-fi, you will enjoy the book.
FAB-BOOK REVIEW OF "Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder by Shaan Changotra, falls into sci-fi genre. When I've started I never used to like Sci-fi books but later on when I started to explore more genres somewhere I did connected to this genre. Although unlike other genres I used to easily forget about the story once after I read the book. By that I mean, sci-fi books are very critical to read as in this genre the story line will be simple but the small intricate details are very much important than the whole story line which is what I mostly forget about. But recently, I have started reading a few sci-fi books and I am sort of enjoying reading them and then I thought to pick this book up as the blurb seemed interesting. . This book is about the story of Agushti Hoffman, who was in coma and when he did get out of it he was in another world where there was no land. And whereas this book takes us to another world where there is Stimulation, space shuttle and the nature. On the other hand this book is divided into three parts: one is about the industries, the second is about death and the third is about the earth. This book unlike other sci-fi books we will get to know the protagonist beyond the mystical powers. We'll get to know about mental health, bonding and also about self love and journaling. . No matter how good plot line one writer has in his/her mind if it's not executed properly the reader couldn't read the book further as it puts down the excitement of the reader to know what's coming in for the character to face and especially in sci-fi genre if the intricate details of the story are not mentioned or written properly it definitely won't connect to the reader properly. And the writing and the language used in the book were great though it takes time to get into the story but once you've got into it, it'll teleport you to the world of Agushti's World.
"I'm a human, and I can think - that's the greatest gift given to me by the universe. No matter where I come from, which family, caste, race, country, city, town or village, I belong to, how much money I've -- Nothing matters!"
Many might miss the acknowledgement page of the book. So, want to acknowledge that first. It's not just a thanking message, but has a lot of beneficial information, full of motivational talks, especially for the depressed people. The acknowledgement itself is worth reading.
Coming to the story part, it's all based on imagination. The plot is about the aftermath of third World War with nature which destroyed everything, and the population of the earth goes down drastically. Imagining a world where humans have lost everything & are still surviving on a dead-like planet Earth is something beyond our thoughts.
Agushti is the main character who is the first survivor, after the planet Earth has come to end due to chaotic climate wars. He wakes up from coma & questions the new reality as it all seems to be artificial to him. Two planets, Earth & Mars, are having a diplomatic relationship. He founds a secret door in an island which led him to another "Hidden Earth". He enters it & founds himself waking up from the coma bed again. Grab the book to find out the reality & the illusion hidden in this imaginary story.
The book has been narrated in three parts: 1. The manufacturing industries, aka Mars (22 chapters) 2. Death for some, glory for many (21 chapters) 3. A curve of the new Earth (9 chapters)
The language is a bit twisted, yet not to hard to understand. A dictionary alongside will be helpful. Overall, I liked the concept of the book of around 400 pages.
🍀🍀Cold Time: My Simulation Blunder is a dystopian science fiction that takes place in a future where our world is suffering from global warming and climate change crisis and everyone needs a means to escape from this harsh truth. Shaan Changotra takes us on a voyage into a highly gloomy future, which will demonstrate to you the need and urgency of focusing on climate change in the present day and age. . The author builds around the reader a virtual world that is no longer a science fiction but a real world in the future. It is possible that life on Earth in a hundred years from now will look like described in the book.🍀🍀 🍀🍀The main strength of the book lies not within its plot or characters but within the concepts. The whole concept and world-building of the book is something that resonates with the current world we live in. This is actually a book with good messages about climate change and one that poses interesting philosophical questions about what happens when nature goes to war with humans. On another level, it is a brilliant psychological character study and an observation of group dynamics.🍀🍀
🍀🍀This book is infused with a very real sense of psychological and philosophical questions, and treats its protagonists as fully realized, intelligent, three-dimensional characters struggling with very real questions.🍀🍀
🍀🍀Cold Time by Shaan Changotra is thought-provoking, emotionally complex, ethically challenging, and richly colorful, both verbally and visually. The book seems daunting at first, but the author seems to be giving us permission to lose time and place and sense and reason and just string along with the wild meanderings this story presents. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in science-fiction showing a dystopian future🍀🍀

The story revolves around Agushti Hoffman, the first of the survivors, who awakens from a coma after two months. He expresses doubts about the new world; While everything seems to be true, it is all an illusion. However, none of this mattered as he found that the world government controls the countries. Ronnie Attari is an agent of the New World government. Mr. Mathew, his teacher, explains why, and he also explains why there are only four billion people on Earth.
This is a book with really good messages about climate change and an interesting philosophical question about what happens when nature goes to war with humans. On another level, it is a brilliant psychological character study and observation of group dynamics.
So if you want to read this book then you can definitely go ahead.
Cold Time : My Simulation Blunder by Shaan Changotra is a fictional book of the sci-fi thriller genre. As the book goes into detail, the complexity gets added layer by layer and the author does it so deftly that it doesn't create any chaos.
Our protagonist is Agushti who has slipped into a coma , and his mom and sis , Rose and Agatha respectively. They are waiting and hoping for him to get out of it. When he does get out , the world as he knew it would have changed. The world will be shattering and it’s us the humans who’ve brought that about. I really appreciate the author’s imagination and how he took the entire world into account. It gave me goosebumps at points. The author intrigues us with the time and reality interlink. He delves deep into the possibilities of playing with reality and introduces us to some science fiction.
I am not even sure if my review can do justice to this book , it’s mind bending at times and it takes you time to get a hold of it but when you do it’s something else , it’s a whole new experience and the writing and imagination is next level. What I also liked is that he took mental health into account and talked about it in a way that I’m sure resonated with a lot of people.
I can see this book becoming a best seller and a classic in times to come. Although it’s quite complex there is a touch of lightness to the story that makes it a breeze to read , even though some of its science fiction concepts can melt your brain should you think too much about it. Reading this book was a experience and I would do it again , this time I might understand it better lol. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Its a worthwhile read.

The war between human & climate already began. . Here author focused on a completely different plotline & the way he executed it that is highly appreciable. 🙂 Language used in the book is simple & easily understandable. 🙂Being a sci-fi the concepts & themes of science are perfectly described that makes you understand without any sort of brain storming. 🙂 Characterization of the book is good. Except Agushti, pearl his lover, his sister Aguthi, her lover Ajay & his mother Abby everyone played crucial roles in the book. 🙂 The climax stole my heart in one go. Before the climax it seemed like searching pieces but the climax just glued up them all. 🙂 Pace is quite good & but sometimes you are going to feel it's lengthiness because of author's detailed narration in some cases which ruined the pace of the book in one go.
