Better When He’s Brave has been a highly anticipated book for me. After keeping up with the Welcome to the Point series, I’ve been anxious to get my hands on Titus’s story.
Titus is a cop. He’s a good man in a place full of bad where doing the right thing is hard. But he manages. He does what he has to do and follows the law. Titus is a man who you can always count on to do whats right. Even if that means arresting his own brother. He’s proven time and time again that his job is something important to him and something he won’t compromise.
Reeve is a good person but she is a person who has made some bad choices. She’s from the Point. She does what needs to be done in order to survive and in order to be able to live with herself, she’s done some less than law abiding things. After her sister was killed, Reeve wasn’t out for justice, not in the Point. She was out for vengeance. Now some of those choices she made are coming back to bite her and those she cares about. The Point is in danger and everyone who lives there. And Titus is the only person who can help her make it right.
Reeve and Titus are a very… unlikely pair. The cop and the criminal. Who ever would have thought? These two have to work together and fight the attraction and feelings that have been building between them for a long time. Reeve has to prove to Titus she can be trusted, and with her history, that’s not an easy thing to do.
I liked Reeve and Titus together. They both desperately needed someone like the other to balance them out. They were a great match. This was a good read, but the first book in this series is still my very favorite. There is something about Shane Baxter and Dovie that I just fell in love with. I didn’t have quite those same feelings about this book, but I still found it enjoyable and entertaining. Both of the characters were likable, the story was interesting and the writing was great. It missed the 5 star mark for me, but was still a solid 4 and a nice addition to the series.
Welcome to the Point is a series that has mystery and suspense, steam and romance, and in this book, tests the boundaries of having honor and doing the right thing. These characters are friends, they’re family and loyal to a fault. I enjoy the action packed story lines and the heart thats packed into these books. I am so excited for the next book in this series (Nassiar) and I’m very much hoping Jay gives us a Booker story because I’d like to read his book most of all!!!

This was my least favourite out of the three books in this series...The thing is though, I was very distracted with “real life stuff” going on so that could have some thing to do with it?! I’m still eager to continue on to the next series which will take place in the same town and feature the secondary characters that were in this series!
I have a feeling that the next series is going to be even better than this one!!!

Finally got around to reading this one! I've been enjoying The Point series and this book didn't disappoint. Titus is a character I've been intrigued about since the first book and I am so glad he got his own story.
Better When He's Brave is about bad girl Reeve and good guy cop Titus. Reeve has made some horrible mistakes that she feels she can never atone for, but she's going to try her damn hardest. In doing this she goes to Titus for help to bring down the local big bad, and the two of them come up with a plan to bring him down.
“I will make THIS worthwhile. I will make THIS enough until we can tackle more. THIS matters, whatever it is, and for now THIS is everything, okay?”
This was the first book in the series where I really felt the grit of The Point. I feel like Reeve and Titus' perspectives showed The Point in a new light and it wasn't a good one. I also loved the angst of the relationship between the two, the girl being bad and the boy fighting that. The beginning of the book was a bit slow but about a third of the way in it picked up speed and I couldn't put it down.
This book can be read as a standalone but I recommended reading the first two books in the series as you will gain better insight into the characters and their motivations.

Hiding was the for weak…
I am always excited to go back to The Point and was super excited to finally get Titus story. Titus is one of the few good guys left in The Point and remaining good and true is a full time job for him. Never was this job more difficult than when Reeve shows back up in town.
Reeve has left WITSEC and returned to The Point against everyone’s wishes. Her being there is a liability to the case and bad for just about everyone, including Titus.
Despite his better judgment Titus is attracted to Reeve and can’t help the pull he has towards her. I love this give and take type connection and watching them fight their feelings. The story is told in dual POV so it’s great to see both sides and know their true motives. When Reeve and Titus are forced to pretend to be in love I was psyched.
Reeve and Titus are fantastic characters and despite being opposites are just what the other needed. I loved how the story unfolded for everyone involved. The Point is this crazy dangerous place to live, but the more you fall in love with these characters the more you want them to succeed in changing things. The only reason this is more of a four star read versus a five star is it was just a little slow at points. I wanted to be more engaged and at times felt like I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
If you are fan of Jay and this series, you obviously have to read this latest installment. If you haven’t jumped in yet, I definitely suggest it!

I've been over-excitedly waiting for Titus and Reeve's story since Book#1, because...well...who can resist a sexy romance between a good cop and a corrupted bad girl?
Certainly not this perv right here... *cough cough*
The romance aspect was GOLDEN. These two are a PERFECT match. What couldn't hold my enthusiasm and eventually forced me to DNF (which I very rarely do) is everything else in the book. The story. Maybe it's because I'm not in the mood for suspence or something, but I seriously kept getting bored out of my mind, so I decided to throw in the towel at some point.
OVERALL: This was NOT a bad book, I want that to be loud and clear first of all. It just wasn't FOR ME, I guess. Book#1 is still (and from the looks of it, will always be...) my favourite in the series, and I don't know if I will read the next book or not. We'll see ;)

Since starting this series I’ve been looking forward to Titus’ story. He’s the one man on the right side of the law in The Point, which has made for a tricky relationship with his younger brother Bax. I did sense an intensity in Titus that hinted at him being more than just a rigid cop. He turned out to be a complex man in a constant fight to keep his darker side leashed, one who struggled with balancing the law with real life. Turns out Reeve was just the woman to both unleash and soothe his inner beast, and I enjoyed their story just as much as Bax and Dovie’s, which was originally my favorite in this series!
Reeve feels guilt over the less than moral choices she made while driven by grief and anger over her sister’s murder. She was indebted to Novak, a nasty piece of work who ruled the Point with no conscience. When he called in his favor, Reeve betrayed her friend Dovie to pay up. In her defense, Reeve did try and warn Dovie, but still, it was a shitty move that put more than just Dovie in danger. Now Reeve is in a position to make up for the injuries her actions caused. She has information and evidence against the newest threat to the Point, a threat far deadlier than Novak or Hartman. But in order to help, Reeve must offer herself up as the sacrificial lamb, as bait, because this man is definitely gunning for her.
I felt bad for Reeve and the guilt she felt over past bad decisions. I mean who hasn’t made mistakes, especially in the throes of grief? The fact that she came back to atone, even if it meant her life, completely won me over to her side. I was moved by the sincerity in her heart. Teaming up with Titus to take down this new threat was both sweet and tortuous. Fighting an attraction to him is beyond difficult, because he’s drawn to her as well. But Reeve doesn’t want to fall for a man who thinks she’s morally deficient, plus she doesn’t even feel worthy of Titus’ love and affection. There was longing tinged with reluctance on both sides.
“You shouldn’t be what makes me feel good, Reeve.” There is was. The harsh reality of the way things were between us. Him on one side of the divide and me always on the other.
While I could understand why Titus was weary of Reeve at first, I enjoyed the wall between them coming down and witnessing his change in attitude as the story progressed. The more he got to know Reeve the more he understood her and realized she was just a human being, not always perfect but she had her heart in the right place. Their romance was more than a meeting of bodies, it was an entwining of hearts and minds. All that pent-up want finally burst out and the result was so very hot and intense!
“There is no regret, Reeve, and there is no choice. Right or wrong, you are it for me. You get all the parts of me. You make me feel like I can just be me, not a cop, not a big brother, not a hero, not a savior…just a man. A man that has his good and bad parts.”

Better When He’s Brave kept me on the edge with surprise threats and danger. No character was immune. This new baddie was rotten to the core and pulled no punches. Trying to get a step ahead was difficult for Titus especially when the hits kept coming. I was really worried about what would happen next! Jay Crownover really hit the right balance of romance and suspense in this installment! I guess Nassir and Honor’s story is next, but I’m really longing for Booker and Karsen’s romance! I really hope they get a book!

Better When He's Brave is a police romance story. In Miss Crownover, the story is alives with twist and turn. The hero is broody, brave and sexy. Titus is his name. While the heroine is sexy, damsel in distress and feminin.
Do I like the story? Overall the characters, plot and chemistry is a good combination.

This one quote is the essence that symbolizes the true meaning of Welcome to the Point Series. We've seen Dovie and Bax, Race and Brysen battle through the Point, battling known enemies and fighting to survive. Finding love in all of the wrong places, holding on tight and moving forward. Jay Crownover, gives us her new instalment with a twist. This time, we're given Titus's story. The good guy falls for the bad girl.
Told in dual POV's, Titus and Reeve gives us their marvelous story, while traveling down treacherous parts, in order to save The Point.
"Some men wanted to watch the world burn. Titus was a man that wanted to put out all the flames single-handedly from inside the blaze. He was so beautiful...built like an impenetrable bastion...so tall and wide that it seemed like nothing would ever be able to break its way inside of him. He was everything a man should be."
Detective Titus King is one of the good guys. Protecting the Point is his main mission, while keeping his brother out of trouble and ensuring the peace within the heinous Point. Reeve Black is the bad gal, or so her image portrays her to be. A young woman, who has made many bad decisions and choices, because of her raging emotions.
She was first introduced in Book 1 where she inexplicably sold Dovie out. Putting Dovie in danger and enraging Bax, Titus and Race. So, there is absolutely no love lost when theses men all see Reeve re-enter into their lives again.
Reeve has turned over a new leaf, and has gone into Witness Protection. She is more than willingly to testify against Novak and his crew. But when the ruling Underlord is killed, a new threat becomes ever present. The newest enemy that lurks in the shadows and lethal sting brings all in his path to their knees.
Reeve leaves WITSEC after a WITSEC member is brutally murdered. This murder serves as a blood message to the new guys, taking over The Point. Their will be only one legacy within The Point.
Titus teams up, against his better judgement, with Reeve, in order to bring the newest threat to The Point, out into the open and to his knees. As they traverse the treacherous streets of The Point, while bodies and brutal accidents surface and occur daily, Reeve and Titus, find solace in the most unlikely of places.

Titus fights this intense attraction he has for Reeve, as fiercely as he can. They are on opposing teams. He shouldn't have feelings for a once bad girl, who gained a conscience. Titus's darker side was becoming harder and harder to subdue. Being within her arms, he can be himself, he can unleash his beast. She takes it all and rather than taming the beast she strokes it and urges him on.
I must say that this was a story that I was not looking forward to at all. My fav in this series was Bax and Dovie's story but!! Jay Crownover, did a remarkable job of creating Titus and Reeve's story, and yes!!! I freaking loved it. Thank you Jay for making me a Titus fan. Now, I have a new fav!! Knowing that Titus was flawed, that he made some questionable choices on his road to becoming the MAN he is today, made me love him even more.
The mystery and suspense surrounding this series keeps building and keeps the reader craving more. The way Ms. Crownover, creates these marvelous stories, while encompassing the other characters, keeps the entire story plot evolving, while evoking intense emotions from the reader.
They say opposites aren't supposed to attract, but sometimes, a bad girl just needs to be tamed.

This book about a man with inner demons but a clear cut vision of right and wrong is full of anarchy, men who make their own rules, and a romance that develops between black and white areas which is a dangerous place to be for homicide detective Titus King’s heart. It’s harsh but provocative. It captured my attention with its violent and suspenseful prologue. Kept me engaged with its characters who are forced to make difficult decisions in order to survive all the while trying to guess why, how and when the villain would strike next while enjoying its racy sexiness and smiling with the sweet relationship developing between its protagonists.
“My beast made of gentleness and compassion was made to fit perfectly against his beast made of hardness and fight.
I really liked Reeve, it was impossible not to. She’s strong and brave and owned her decisions. And even if she had made decidedly wrong choices before she ultimately put her life on the line in order to put away (or down) a former lover who had for years disguised himself as a good guy but was pure evil underneath and was wreaking pain and destruction everywhere. All the while trying care for the man she loves and admires but who she feels is too good for her.
“She was going to be my downfall. She was going to be my corruption and my vice. She was going to be my addiction and my compulsion and I was still going to fall headlong into her knowing the landing was going to be rough for both of us.”
Having to pretend to be head over heels for an untrustworthy woman who doesn’t share his moral code while actually being attracted to her is something I could understand Titus having trouble with. What took a while for me to appreciate was the depth of his inner struggle. But Reeve saw him to his core and not just accepted him, she wanted more. Once Titus saw past her surface he was all in and I loved how they suited each other perfectly.

Their relationship is a difficult one because on the surface he was good and she was bad, they were complete opposites. But Jay has an incredible ability to develop complex and addicting characters that can’t be defined so simply. They’re all shades of gray and I loved both their journeys. For Titus accepting that his roots did not define him and for Reeve knowing that she was worthy and could still make good choices.

The more I read about the Point, the more it feels like a Gotham-ish kind of place and in this particular book the hero wasn’t a vigilante dressed up like a bat but a sexy, badass officer of the law who’s dedicated his life to serve and protect. Having Bax and Dovie, as well Race and Bryse, Booker and Nassir back was the perfect complemented to the plot. And even though the bad guy deserved to be killed dead, he provided an interesting tangled web that kept me on edge wanting to inhale the story.
I love reading emotionally charged books, and Jay knows how to wield her keyboard and create alluring descriptions that provoke feelings ranging from anger to happiness, from guilt and shame to respect and honor, from hate to desire. It’s was easy to get lost in this story, all her previous ones and I'm the ones to come. I can’t wait for the next one.

Better when he’s Brave is book #3 in the Welcome to the Point series by Jay Crownover. It is a standalone, full-length, thrilling romance filled with scorching hot scenes, violence and lots of emotional turmoil. Told from both points of view, with interconnecting characters from previous books in the series, with a happy ending.

Original review on Julalicious Book Paradise
Okay, I think I have found my new favourite book in this series. Titus and Reeve are two very intriguing characters. The chemistry between them was sizzling whenever they were in the same room.
Both of them have issues and you discover more and more in this book. In the first two books, you see Titus as only the good guy; the guy who believes in justice and want to help out everyone. And yes, this Titus is still in this book, but we discover a darker side of him; something I didn't quite expect. I really found interesting learning about his past.
And Reeve we knew a little bit of her history and why she ended up backstabbing Dovie. Even then, I couldn't muster enough hate for Reeve. I do hate that she did it, but I also felt for her because she was in debt with a man that no one would dare to cross or almost no man.
Titus and Reeve like I previously said have a lot of chemistry between them hard to ignore. I was reading their interaction with a lot of interest because I felt it was quite refreshing. I don't know how to explain it; it just felt different from other stories I recently read.
But I think what I liked about this his how Jay brought in a whole new perspective of the bad guys in this book. We knew someone was going after Bax, Nassir and Race, but the twist she added in this book wasn't one I ever thought.
I'm really trying to do a review without giving it too much because I don't want to spoil anyone with this, but really, this book is so worth it. The characters, the twist, the story, everything is awesome. You just want more and more and I'm looking forward to read Nassir's story. I feel like this one might top every other stories because let's face it... Jay knows how to spoil us and to make us want more and more at each new book.

I’m upset.
I mean, I knew my good book streak had to come to an end eventually, but I never for one second thought that this would be the book that shattered my dreams.
I went into this hopeful. The first book in this series was a book that renewed my faith in Magic Dick Lit. The second one was a shit show, but I really hoped that this one would bounce back and get back to the level where the first one left off.
And for the first half of this book, it looked promising. The opening chapter was amazing. It set up an intriguing story and I couldn’t wait to see where this was going to go. The characters were getting to know one another and there was tension and it was lovely. There was even safe sex! Titus was a good guy, Reeve was a bad girl and oooh, ahhh, forbidden love and all that. It was working.
But then the second half of the book happened and all my hopes and dreams went up in smoke.
I wasn’t a fan of And Reeve’s reaction after being assaulted and nearly killed was incredibly unrealistic and I very nearly gave up the book at that point.
The twists in this one were pretty easy to spot, I guessed the bad guys motivations much sooner than Titus managed to figure it out. And he is a detective. He gets paid to detect things; you’d think he would have been able to figure out why the bad guy was after everyone…
All the talk of Titus’ “inner beast” got old, really quick. And I got sick of both Reeve and Titus always being so freaking insecure about their feelings about each other and themselves. It was ridiculous.
The big finale ended up being a letdown. It was so anticlimactic I had to re-read it just to make sure I didn’t miss something, but no, that was how it went down.
And finally, the editing in this, far out! It needed work. This is a printed copy and there were more than a handful of errors that made me wonder how on earth they slipped through the cracks. Very disappointing.
This is where I part way with this series. The next book is going to be about Nassir and don’t give a flying fuck about his story.
Such a shame that this story couldn’t live up to that wonderful cover.
No more stories from The Point for me.

Yeah. I started reading this one evening and I just never stopped. It kept me turning pages until 4AM. I needed to know every detail so I just kept reading.
Why?
The characters. I adore both main characters, Reeve and Titus. Both of them come from impossible situations and have crazy awful choices to make. They live in a bad place but it's part of them and leaving just isn't a choice. While this story is far from my reality and it's larger than life, it spoke to me. These characters felt real.
And they are drawn to each other. They shouldn't be. He's the cop. She's the criminal. He fights his attraction. She hides hers. Then they need each other to make things right. And they try to resist. Yeah...about that. It was perfect. There is a fine point where giving in too soon ruins the story and waiting too long makes the reader crazy. This one was perfect. I can't really explain more without spoiling but just know that it's perfect.
I said this story is larger than life and it is. Lots of things were like, really? But you need to just go with it. It's fiction. It's entertaining and satisfying. It may not always be law abiding but it's got it's own type of justice.
I read the first book in this series but not the second. I think all of them can stand alone. The author does a good job of getting the reader up to speed on the back story without boring us. I'd love to find time to go back and read book two and I'm wondering about book four.
These books are raw and sexy. They are this author unleashed. If that's your kinda book, then you need this one and this series.

The foundation of this story was so enticing. I was desperate to read Titus's story (I love tormented good guys). But I felt like too much was lost on descriptions. At the beginning, I think I read 5 pages of Titus describing what type of man he is...got it. I think 1/2 the book is describing what a shithole the Point is....got it. And then the rest is reading Reeve describe her best intentions and how she admires the kind of man Titus is...got it. I totally dig these characters and the villain is a gooood one. He had me on the edge of my seat but I tell ya, this place, the Point? It's so bad, it's almost post apocalyptic. NO ONE in their right mind would live in this place much less CHOOSE to live there as these characters do! Titus is pretty much moment to moment getting called to a crime scene (he's a cop) and not just any run of the mill crime scene...it's always gruesome and horribly tragic (even in Detroit you don't have a murder everyday!). I get that it's bad but this is extreme. I really really do like The Point series but I felt like Jay wants us to understand that even though Titus is fighting the good fight, he is mired in the muck and filth of crime in The Point....more so than described in the previous books. My thing is, it wasn't necessary. I wanted more interaction, more banter, more "get to know you" from Titus and Reeve because they are such good characters. Really looking forward to Naissir!

Reeve is a nice person who has made some really bad life choices in her quest for vengeance and now she has to face the consequences. When a bad element makes it self known in the point, Reeve decides she wants to help. Reeve now must prove that she is the good person to herself and those around her.
The cop and criminal, both needing something missing in their lives, Better When He’s Brave is the story of Reeve and Titus finding that something.
Life in the Point is dark and intense and definitely not for the light hearted reader.
I found Better When He’s Brave to be suspenseful, packed full of plenty of romantic steam while still managing to balance the action, love and real life drama.
The characters are genuine and their plight heartfelt but the overall tone was a little to dark and the topics they face to cringe worthy for me.

Titus has pledged his life to protect those who can't protect themselves in the Point, and in doing so, he refuses to blur the lines between right and wrong, justice and revenge, good and evil. But what he learns with the war that's brewing in his domain is that there's always exceptions to the rule and sometimes people have to go into the gray in order to make the changes that need to be made. Sometimes being brave means adapting and unleashing their inner beast in order to get the job done.
In all of the Welcome to the Point books, the Point itself is a perfectly crafted protagonist as well as antagonist, and Jay Crownover does an exceptional job of bringing all of its glory and darkness to light and proving that if you're a product of the point then there's always going to be that part of you that does what needs to be done in order to protect those you love and to survive.
The Point is a wasteland of mayhem, murder, and maliciousness. It’s hell on earth where all the criminals come to play because they can hide away in the “muck and mire” and build their kingdoms. The Point personifies the evil that reigns its streets, and once it has its citizens in its grasp, it’s hard to break free because it owns them.
Titus braves the streets of the Point, trying to remain a good man in a bad place and refusing to compromise his principles. His convictions lead him to right all the wrongs on his beat and continue to do so even when it seems a waste because crime never ends and bad guys never stop terrorizing the innocent. But the reason Titus sacrifices himself to keep the Point as safe as it can be is because he’s a product of it. He knows what it feels like to struggle, to be selfish, and to make necessary choices in order to make life better.
Out of Bax, Race, and Titus, Titus is most definitely the hero more so than the anti-hero, but Jay Crownover illustrates to readers that there is a part of Titus that doesn’t play fair and will do whatever it takes to protect what’s his.
Titus is a complex hero whose character continues to transform as the dynamics of the game with Roark continues. He’s walking a tenuous tightrope between right and wrong and his struggles of staying on the right side of that line is continually at the forefront of his mind, and Jay makes it clear that in a place like the Point, the best way may not be black and white.
Reeve is the perfect woman to show Titus that his black and white world is merely a facade that he chooses to live in, suppressing the other parts of himself that don't match up with his position as a detective. Reeve allows Titus to just be Titus, encouraging him to let the beast out and realize that one's past definitely doesn't have to define him, but it absolutely is an integral part of what created him and it's not always a bad thing.
Reeve’s already blurred the line between right and wrong, and she’s working hard to set things right, but vengeance is a powerful emotion. Reeve’s would never compromise who Titus is but that doesn’t mean she won’t take her own ways when it comes to fixing a problem.
I love that Reeve sees every part of Titus and accepts him for who and what he is, and regardless of Titus’ aversion to fall for a criminal, sometimes those who break the law aren’t truly criminals, they’re just trying to set things right and go about it the wrong way, and Titus knows a thing or two about that.
Better When He’s Brave is everything I wanted Titus’ story to be and the fact that readers get to keep up with the other couples in the series makes it that much more satisfying.
Nassir is up next and I truly don’t know what to expect from his story because he seems to epitomize the anti-hero, so I can’t wait to see how Jay Crownover transforms him!

Titus King es detective en una de las zonas más conflictivas “La Punta”, no hay días de descanso pero a pesar de ello a Titus le gusta lo que hace, vive por y para ello. Su vida y sus planes se tambalean cuando reaparece Reeve Black, la joven que traicionó a la novia de su hermano Bax y que es testigo protegido del caso Novak y por la que siente algo más que desprecio.
Cuando comencé esta trilogía me pareció aceptable porque era “original” en ciertos aspectos, ha tenido libros mejores que otros pero en definitiva me ha gustado; creo que continuará con otros tres libros más, así que nada a esperar la historia de Nassir.
“Mejor cuando es valiente” cuenta la historia de Titus el hermano mayor de Bax que es policía en la Punta que ya nos llamó la atención en los anteriores libros, en este me ha sorprendido porque me esperaba que fuera el típico policía con las ideas claras, pero no, nuestro personaje tiene un lado oculto que no imaginaba. Todavía estoy decidiendo si me gustó o no, le faltó algo…
Con respecto a Reeve es también toda una revelación, en los otros libros la recordaba como una chica débil pero aquí es todo lo contrario, es una sorpresa agradable, sin duda es uno de los mejores personajes.
La relación entre estos personajes también me costó entenderla, le faltó esa química, era todo como muy forzado.
La novela me gustó, estaba interesante la historia con los conflictos y la trama Novak- Conner Roark y las relaciones con personajes de anteriores libros como Bax y Race. Lo que encontré es que la novela es algo larga para mi gusto, con demasiada descripción en detrimento de diálogo, a veces incluso repitiendo las mismas ideas para luego tener un final tan sencillo, yo esperaba más acción. Le daré las cuatro estrellas y esperaré por el siguiente libro que trata de Key y Nassir a ver si la cosa mejora.

DNF 59% :(
Esto si que es una sorpresa y es realmente triste porque me encanta como escribe Jay Crownover y AMO el primer libro. Tengo una obsesión con Dovie y Bax ♡ y es por eso que probablemente seguí leyendo este libro, porque necesitaba saber lo que sucedía con Bax. Sin embargo, creo que es una pérdida de tiempo porque no consigue atraparme.
Hasta donde leí, el libro no es malo. Iba bien creo y si decidí leerlo fue por Titus. Desde los anteriores libros, él me gustaba. Me parecia que era un policia leal y confiable y es por eso que quería que encontrará alguien que lo hiciera feliz, pero...Reeve? En serio? Tenía que ser ella de entre todas las mujeres en el mundo?
No.
Lo intente, en serio, lo intente, pero ella simplemente no me agrada desde el primer libro. Yo tengo el mismo pensar de Bax sobre ella. Es una traidora e hizo que hirieran a Dovie. Además de que ocasionó un montón de problemas a otras personas. Quise comprenderla un poco más en este libro, llegue a hacerlo en partes, pero en realidad no me convence. Si me desagrada un personaje desde el principio, me desagrada para siempre y lo que sucediera con ella no podía importarme menos. Mujeres como ella simplemente no van conmigo.
Estoy segura de que al final seguramente se redimirá y terminará siendo muy feliz a lado de Titus, pero simplemente no quiero leerlo. Quizás siga leyendo otro día solo para saber que sucedió con Bax, Dovie y todos los demás. Además me muero por leer la historia de Honor con Nassir y la de Noah con Karsen *-*/

Tengo una obsesión con Dovie y Bax ♡ y es por eso que probablemente seguí leyendo este libro, porque necesitaba saber lo que sucedía con Bax. Sin embargo, creo que es una pérdida de tiempo porque no consigue atraparme.
Hasta donde leí, el libro no es malo. Iba bien creo y si decidí leerlo fue por Titus. Desde los anteriores libros, él me gustaba. Me parecia que era un policia leal y confiable y es por eso que quería que encontrará alguien que lo hiciera feliz, pero...Reeve? En serio? Tenía que ser ella de entre todas las mujeres en el mundo?
No.
Lo intente, en serio, lo intente, pero ella simplemente no me agrada desde el primer libro. Yo tengo el mismo pensar de Bax sobre ella. Es una traidora e hizo que hirieran a Dovie. Además de que ocasionó un montón de problemas a otras personas. Quise comprenderla un poco más en este libro, llegue a hacerlo en partes, pero en realidad no me convence. Si me desagrada un personaje desde el principio, me desagrada para siempre y lo que sucediera con ella no podía importarme menos. Mujeres como ella simplemente no van conmigo.
Estoy segura de que al final seguramente se redimirá y terminará siendo muy feliz a lado de Titus, pero simplemente no quiero leerlo. Quizás siga leyendo otro día solo para saber que sucedió con Bax, Dovie y todos los demás. Además me muero por leer la historia de Honor con Nassir y la de Noah con Karsen *-*/

Introduction
Better When He's Brave is the final book in the "Welcome to the Point" trilogy. I absolutely loved this book so dearly and really the whole "Point" books are spectacular. I just couldn't get enough of this one here. There is something about how this author has written these books that just appeal to me so much! I love the way that these books are edgy contemporary romances. They are borderline dark romance, but I wouldn't necessarily call them straight out dark romance or even contemporary romance, its like the marvelous in between of the two sub genres. Better When He's Brave is a story of enemies to lover and forbidden love. Its not straight out enemies to lovers persay, more like they are on opposite sides of the tracks, and the heroine is needing to be redeemed and everyone around them doesn't want the hero and heroine together. But its so well done. But if you can, read these books in order.
Summary
Better When He's Brave is a story of Titus and Reeve. Who have building intimacy growing between them. But Reese has made some awful mistakes, that has caused harm to some innocents and she has come back to the point to redeem the past mistakes and bring the true villain of the story to justice if she can. Titus is a police detective and he is determined to bring down their enemy who also happens to be connected to his family who has a vow of vengeance. So he joins forces with Reeve to bring him down but as they work together, something more develops between them.
My Outlook
This book was so fantastic! I just love this book and how the romance was developed. Unlike most darker books, this does not feature a antihero, but a anti-heroine! I actually don't remember Reeves that much from the previous books, since I read the first two books quite a while ago. But as you read throughout this story, you get familiar with what happened in previous books. As she doesn't have too many friends, but we also see a connection to Honor and Nassir's book which was so much fun. As we see what drives Honor away from The Point. But the focus of the story is what is building and has been building between Reeves and Titus. I just loved seeing these two find their way together and especially in seeing our heroine go about redemption. Now I was a bit confused about the heroine. Because the first half of the story she keeps thinking about this secret plan she has but nothing really happens with the secret plan so that was a bit confusing and didn't make sense to me. I am definitely excited to explore more of this author because I have just loved everything I have read from this author!

I found Better When He's Brave to be a fabulous installment that won my heart quickly! Its a story of personal redemption, rising above how others view you, and doing what is right when it counts the most.

Better When Hes Brave es el tercer libro de los seis ( por el momento ) que forman la serie Welcome To The Point de la autora Jay Crownover y narra la historia de Titus ( hermano mayor de Bax ) y Reese, personaje secundario que conocemos en el primer libro.
Algo que he notado en los tres libros de esta saga que llevo leidos es lo lento que empieza a desarrollarse la trama en el inicio, todo empieza con un ritmo lento y quizas un poco tedioso hasta que la trama " despega " y entonces tiene un ritmo mas fluido.
Cuando empiezas a leer un libro te pueden pasar tres cosas ( o al menos a mi me suele pasar ) :
1• Que empieces la lectura y te enganche desde la primera frase.
2• Que te enganches segun vas leyendo, necesitas conocer mas a los personajes y leer un par de capitulos hasta darte cuenta de que la historia te gusta.
3• Que no consigas engancharte con la historia, lees capitulo tras capitulo y no consigues conectar con la lectura.
A mi con Better When Hes Brave me paso la segunda opcion, al principio no me parecio la gran maravilla pero segun fui leyendo me fue gustando cada vez mas, hasta que llego un momento en el que no podia parar de leer, necesitaba saber que pasaria a continuacion.
Con Reese y Titus me paso algo parecido, al inicio no me terminaban de convencer como pareja pero segun fui leyendo mas escenas de ellos me fueron agradando mas, nunca me gustaran tanto como las dos parejas de los libros anteriores pero no estuvieron del todo mal.
Me muero de ganas de leer la historia de Nassir y Keelyn, ademas los pequeños vistazos a la futura pareja de Booker y Karsen fueron muy bienvenidos, son dos de mis personajes favoritos de esta serie.

Love Forever è il terzo autoconclusivo romanzo della serie ambientata a The Point, il famigerato quartiere malavitoso che la Crownover si diverte particolarmente ad utilizzare come ambientazione, ma i suoi protagonisti principali li abbiamo già incontrati nei libri precedenti.
Aspettavo infatti con ansia la storia di Titus King, ma avevo paura di rimanere delusa per via della protagonista femminile. Il detective e la criminale è una coppia improbabile che promette fuoco e fiamme, ma non si può certo scordare che la criminale in questione aveva tradito Dovie mettendone a repentaglio la vita! I miei dubbi erano quindi giustificati, così come quelli dei protagonisti secondari, per nulla contenti del ritorno di Reeve, ma l'autrice è riuscita a farmela piacere lo stesso.
Reeve Black è una bellissima ragazza cresciuta a The Point, ha visto la sorellina minore morire per colpa di brutti giri, e in seguito ha fatto delle scelte sbagliate animata dalla vendetta. Ma chi a The Point non ha mai fatto degli errori?
Titus è il fratellastro di Bax, un uomo imponente, affascinante e rude che ha scelto di diventare poliziotto per provare a ripulire The Point. Si dimostra in più occasioni una persona altruista a cui viene spontaneo prendersi cura delle persone, ma allo stesso tempo possiede un lato oscuro che solo raramente lascia intravedere.
Quella di Titus e Reeve si è rivelata una coppia ben riuscita nonostante gli scrupoli iniziali. La collaborazione tra i due ha inizio per tentare di incastrare un federale corrotto, ma il loro rapporto è destinato ad evolvere velocemente.
L'autrice ha incastrato alla perfezione queste due complesse personalità, che scopriamo poco alla volta e attraverso i rispettivi punti di vista in prima persona.
Ho rivalutato molto Reeve nel corso del romanzo, un tipo come Titus aveva proprio bisogno di un tipetto tosto e coraggioso come lei!
La tensione sessuale che traspare è molto alta fin dalle prime pagine, Titus ci prova anche a resistere all'attrazione per Reeve, ma immaginate come andrà a finire … Diaciamo che questi due sono una coppia particolarmente FOCOSA!
Il romanzo è un concentrato di situazioni pericolose, spietate e ad alto tasso di criminalità, che vedono coinvolti anche i personaggi dei primi due libri. Nulla di nuovo, insomma, a The Point va sempre a finire così in un modo o nell'altro e non si può mai stare tranquilli.
La Crownover ha già iniziato a spianare la strada per la sua prossima storia legata a The Point, quella su Nassir e Honor, già prevista nei prossimamente della casa editrice Newton (Evviva!). A me lo stile scorrevole e intrigante della Crownover continua a piacere e, seppure non sia una patita di romance legati alla malavita, non riesco comunque a staccarmi da queste sue storie!

What a wild ride! I'll admit, it was a rocky start when it came to this series but ultimately I ended up loving it! Jay Crownover has made me fall in love with a whole new, much darker world and had me living for all the characters. The suspense had me on edge because I legit thought some of my faves were gonna die. Crownover was playing games y'all and I was so not prepared for them.
Now I'm ready to get my binge-read on with The Breaking Point series to see if some of my favorite secondary characters get their HEA too. I definitely feel like this spin-off series is gonna be extra cray but luckily this time I will be prepared for it.

3,5 en realidad. La historia de Titus y Reeve tiene todos los ingredientes para engancharte si te gustan las series de acción y las historias de amores intentos y pasionales. La Punta se ha convertido en un lugar donde me gusta perderme porque sus personajes son muy distintos a los que acostumbramos a leer y la trama es completamente adictiva.
