One True Mate #6

Bear's Redemption

Rate this book
Listening Length: 8 hrs and 20 mins

Bruin has never fit in with his kind because the bears hate him for something he can't control. The wolves like him OK, but now that his wolf bff is mated, Bruin prepares for more lonely days and nights... until he meets a female so 'purrfect', the sight of her breaks him. But is she already taken by another?

Willow turned twenty-five this year and waits patiently for an angel to come and claim her, based on her mother's scattered recollection of the experience of Willow's conception. But when a sweet and massive man steals her heart instead, she decides she's not going to wait around for destiny any longer.

Worth the wait...It's complex and complicated!!

Bruin is "special" and he gets what he deserves...a sweet as honey mate to compliment him in every way! Willow and Bru-Bru are the sweetest couple ever...literally. She bakes sweets and harvests honey while he devours both.

Since Bruin and Willow are neophytes at practically everything, it's up to Mac and Rogue to guide them through this thing called love. Mac and Rogue may be wild and rough around the edges but they are good folks. Opposites attract which is why Mac and Bruin bonded so tightly. Mac brings out the bear in Bruin when necessary and Bruin calms the savage beast when Mac, or Rogue, go off on one of their rants.

Willow is the most innocent "naughty" girl ever!! Her errant, wicked thoughts about Bruin are unleashed immediately--no shrinking violet here.

Babies arrive, Khain takes a stroll and leaves a mark, bullets, bombs, explosions and fire--oh my! The BOGI is revealed and bearen and wolven have a little get together out in the woods...Tough decisions are made and renquas will be revealed. So much is going on in this story and much is left unresolved which, mercifully guarantees a couple more stories!

On my Were Scale of Hotness, 4 stars.

I read the last of this series in July 2017, then quit. So, I decided to try again since it was only book 5 that I hated so much that that’s why I quit. LOL, and it was because of the way the narrator made Bruin sound like a dummy and this was the story of Bruin. Fortunately, he wasn’t bad in this book. He found his One True Love in this and it told of all that kept going wrong in his life while he was trying to get, and keep, Willow in his life.

Overall, it was a good book so I’m going to move on to the next one.

There was explicit sex in this, and the F-bomb was used 22 times.

As for the narration: Michael Pauley did much better in this book.

Amazing as always!!

I'm kind of mad at myself for reading this in less than 24 hours because now I'll be stuck idling by waiting for the next book!! I've been waiting for Harlan's book since the first OTM book and I'm over the moon that he's next but I'm gonna get back to Bruin and Willow now. I've been drooling over Bruin for some time now because he's the ultimate package! A big sweet teddy bear that is as fierce as any wolven when it comes to protecting those he loves and also so conflicted and unaware. He went on a journey of self discovery in this book and in my opinion those journeys are the best. Since Shifter's Rogue I knew that Willow would be Bruin's and I'm happy Lisa followed through with all the hints she was throwing our way. I was definitely picking up what she was putting down ever since Bruin's first purring bout at The Hineyand Rogue's easy camaraderie with Willow. This is one of my favorites so far behind Trevor's and Graeme's because the storyline flowed so well and there was no stilted delayed gratification. I'm also relieved to see that Willow was not a frustratingly annoying and difficult as Rogue and that alone was so refreshing! I'm excited and also confused about some new revelations in this particular book but I'm sure Lisa will clears things up with her next book so until then keep doing you Lisa and captivating me at every turn!

Harlan Harlan Harlan!! I'm soooo ready for you

Ever since we met Bruin way back when I have fell in love with him. He is one of those characters that don't come off as strong as other characters however just the way he is and his personality makes you fall in love with him. He is so sweet and kind and just basically a big old teddy bear. I'm so glad that Willow was his heroine in this story. She is the type of woman that Bruin needs in life. In Lisa Ladew's One True Mate series all of the heroines match with the hero perfectly. Bruin and Willow fit perfectly well in the series.

Unlike the other heroines in this series Willow had a pretty good idea of what she was and also a pretty good idea of what her future would hold. She knew what her powers were and accepted that she was different. She knew that she would not end up with a regular guy, however she thought she would end up with an Angel. Bruin was her angel so that worked out in the end.

I also loved that Mac was there for Bruin throughout the entire story. Mac had a brother but his brother ended up dying. Bruin has Brothers however they shunned him because of somebody very close to them. I am so glad that Mac and Bruin found each other and became Brothers. I think without Bruin, Mac would not be the character that he is and vice versa.

As always, Michael Polly is just phenomenal. I love his voice and I love his enthusiasm when it comes to narrating a story. He is one of those few narrators that commits to everything he speaks and everything that he does. I honestly just love him as a narrator and I hope that he continues narrating and like I said before I will try to listen to everything that he's ever narrated so far.

This is another great book in the series and I cannot wait to continue with the other characters. I'm really looking forward to Trent and Troy books and I want them like yesterday.

Book Six-a great addition to the series

This was another slow burn. Bruin finds his mate and she is perfect for him. He is so sweet you just want to put him in your pocket and carry him around. He finally gets what he deserves too (in the best way). Great updates on the other characters. This is a series I would strongly recommend reading in order.

I've skipped around in this series, so I have not read all 6 books, but out of those I have read, this one was, by far, the best. I LOVED Bruin. He had such a likeable and sweet demeanor. I'll likely check out more books in this series just to read more interactions involving him.

Bruin and Willow

I knew this would be a favorite. Bruin is such a lovable bear and I knew that Willow was his mate when he was so obsessed with getting to The Honey Depot. Destiny!

A great series and the best so far. I loved it!

The couple: Bruin and Willow

Romance trope: shifter/paranormal
Series: One True Mate
Length: 251 pages

Plot: Bruin is content to work with the wolves and protect their one true mates, especially after losing his job at the fire station, his last connection to his den. Willow has been itching for something different after turning twenty-five, especially with her mother going on about angels and danger. When the two meet, Bruin knows immediately that he's in love, but Willow thought she was supposed to wait for an angel. She soon realizes that Bruin is her angel, just in bear form. Now they just have to survive the coming danger.

Commentary: Bruin was destined to be the alpha, but he was the least alpha alpha I've ever read. Normally I would hate that, but it felt right in this story. He was so incredibly sweet with both Willow and his friends. My heart just broke for him that he didn't think he was worthy of much of anything. I loved his friends for how they propped him up and accepted him no matter what. And his obsession with honey and fixing hair absolutely cracked me up. This was the first book I've read by this author (started smack in the middle of the series for some reason) and it was a little tough for me at first to get the premise, but once I sorted it out, I really enjoyed this story and will definitely read more in the series.

Rogue scoffed. “What in the hell is bear code?” “It’s like bro code, but cooler, cuz it’s got bears.”

Grammar/syntax: The one thing I noticed was that almost every time his friend laughed, he "sprayed laughter." I just imagined spit flying everywhere, and it was not pretty (but it was repetitive).

Previous book in the series: Shifter's Rogue
Next book in the series: Shifter's Paradox

Bruin is funny, sweet, and loyal looking for a mate to worship … sign me up!

I do NOT consider this to be a stand-alone read, as there are reoccurring characters, overlapping / consecutive timelines and overarching themes. I highly recommend these be read in series order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers.

⛔️ If you have not read any of the previous stories in the series, the following may contain spoilers.

Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including some adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence such as references to kidnapping, murder, betrayal, torture, betrayal, etc.

I would almost consider this a clean romance for the genre, with only a couple of intimate scenes, very few details of violence, and only a few curse words. It is written with a sense of humor. I found myself frequently smiling and having to smother my laugh so my family wouldn’t look at me too weird.

There are a couple of grammatical issues, mainly a typo, and extra inserted and a couple of missing words. I am trying to make sure I include this for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, since errors disrupt the flow.

The story universe is stronger I believe because it is set in Serenity. The main detail that stuck out at me is the acronym for the police that deal with Khain. In the previous stories it is SKRT but in this one it is KSRT, which was frustrating since it disrupted my flow every time it appeared.

Bruin is a bearen, aka bear shifter, that has been working with the police. He has basically been shunned by his clan, which are firefighters, since he foretold about the loss of the females when he was 4 years old. His father, the other elders and males blame him for their dying.

Willow has known her whole life that her father is an angel and that she would be needed to help fight against a demon after she turned 25. She is an empath and can feel others emotions and thoughts. Willow has never left Serenity since her father warned she would be in danger if she did so. They started raising bees and harvesting the honey years ago. Then decided about 5 years ago to opened a restaurant. They feature different dishes made with various types of honey.

Bruin has only eaten at Willow’s restaurant once before, but he has been watching the two of them harvest the honey for a while. When Mac and Rogue stop by to check on him they decide to head there for lunch, having no idea that it would lead Bruin to his destiny … if another doesn’t steal his mate before he even has a chance to ask her out.

I love this gentle bear his life hasn't been easy, blamed for everything since he was four. Shunned for the most by his own people including his siblings, he has lived believing all was his fault and that he was unworthy. Finally finding a place and being accepted by the wolves, he is finding a little bit of peace and a friendship he desperately needs. He doesn't feel like he deserves to find a mate, even though he has saved himself for her. He is sweet, gentle and kind, hardly ever has an unkind thought of anyone even if someone is trying to hurt him.
Willow has grown up expecting an Angel to come for her, she has known to some degree her destiny. She is kind, gentle and loves Bees. She also has a great ability which will be very handy to the One True Mates and others. It is almost fate that brings these two to meet, it has come close a few times and almost goes wrong again.
I felt these were so well suited but with some of the twists and turns this series has taken I was scared it would all go wrong, I so wanted Bruin to get his special lady. Suspense, trickery and some explosive events make this story one not to miss. This book is momentous to the series a lot happens in it not just with Bruin and Willow, even Mac and Rogue but the group as a whole and the Bears especially. I love all these characters and their own stories plus the overall plot, the twists and the unexpected events all keep it fresh and exciting. I can quite understand Lisa needing to take her time and even have a break in between writing these books, they take an incredible amount of concentration to keep it all going smoothly and not ending up going in the wrong direction or losing the plot completely. I love the banter, the alpha-ness of the males as they find their mates but I also love the support they give all the others as well as the main group, even accepting a Dragon and a Bear into their close knit group and becoming close to them as brothers. One of the best paranormal and shifter series that I have read to date and I just keep wanting more.

Oh my gosh what a great read. This was the most amazing book 📖 ever. All the characters in this book are hilarious 😆. I know I’ve said that before. But this is the best book of the series to date. I’ve always loved Bruin and this didn’t disappoint. Each of the books 📚 are the shiften finding their One True Mate.

Bruin Berard Bloom the Fourth and Willow Meadow Kendall are the most magical relationship ever. They were so made for each other. Their love for each other is so special and melts my heart ❤️. He gets what he deserves a sweet OTM that compliments her in every way.

Bruin “Bru-Bru” Bloom is a bear 🐻 Shifter and a newly KSRT (Kahain Special Response Team) member. He absolutely love the wolves 🐺 Shifter. And especially his BFF Mac who is mated to Rogue. The bears don’t like Bruin because of his power. Bruin’s father and brothers stayed away from him until His brother comes to help the wolves with the new pups being born. I absolutely loved the bond between him and Mac.

Willow just turned twenty five and that told me she was someone’s OTM. She a bee 🐝 keeper and part owner of the Honey 🍯 Depot. According to her mother she’s waiting for an angel 👼 to come and claim her but that’s not what happens. She meets her bear mate. And now their journey begins and what a magnificent journey it is.

Mac:
“Why is honey always in bear-shaped containers?” Mac said, making Bruin’s eyes snap from Rogue to Mac. He held a plastic bear filled with the sweet, viscous liquid that was Bruin’s biggest vice. The sight made Bruin lick his lips. Mac’s voice was speculative. “I mean, bees do all the work, so why do you guys get all the credit?” Bruin read the label. Clover honey, which wasn’t rare, or even his favorite, which meant he could resist it. Plus he’d dumped most of his clothes so that he could fit fifty pounds of Texas honey into his suitcase. He could always get new clothes, but new types of exotic honey? That was a rarity and a luxury he would not even try to pass up.

If you don't follow me on GRs you might not realize that I read at least one to two stories/books a week sometimes more. I don't write reviews as often because of my work schedule. But because of my job I have a lot of time between work to read, but not to write. I have tones of books on my kindle app to keep me entertained through the work day, but a lot of times I finish a book either in the early morning hours or at some point during the work day so reviews are majorly lacking and I'm sorry for that guys. Anyway to get to the point...it's been a little over a week since I read this book, but I'm finally getting to a review. I've read about 8 books since then, but this story is still in the forefront of books I've read recently.

I've loved this series from the beginning and look forward to each installment every time, but this story was one that I have really been looking forward to. It didn't disappoint. Bruin's story is everything I wanted and more. I can't wait to see Willow grow with her sisters and see how Bruin finds his footing as a leader amongst his own kind as well as his dynamic with the mated Wolven.

The only thing is I wish it was longer. I wish we could have gotten farther along with power development for the sisters, but I totally understand that babies needed to take the front seat for the side stories of this installment. Over the course of the series I'm sure we'll be seeing the sisters having their little ones in the background more and more, so I just hope that we can have enough "getting to know" the new couples as much as we are able to check in with the others who have already had the spotlight as it were. Those extended epilogues are great for insight down the road or between books. We didn't get on this time cause Lisa is in the middle of a move along with other projects, but fingers crossed she'll make one once she gets settled.

Bru is as sweet and lovable as ever. We get more of his backstory and why it is that he is a lone Bearen. Really hoping that we will get to see some of his brother's mated up in the future...maybe his twin is meant for someone's twin...*wink wink*. That would make certain connections make more sense as to why some friendships and bonds are closer than others.

Willow had the prefect amount of skepticism to make her relatable, but enough faith that we didn't have to deal with long drawn out explanations that we as readers have already gone through from previous books.

Can't wait to see what happens next for everyone in the OTM series.

I love this book and I hope the author doesn't mind me using a highlight from her book...ENJOY THE STORY!!!💖💖

Mac rushed forward and socked Bruin on the shoulder, still grinning like his team had won the super bowl. Willow hugged Bruin hard from the other side. Rogue stepped over a chair to pat him on the back. Even Wade was smiling broadly. Bruin didn’t say anything for a long time. Too many thoughts were running through his mind, and that was unusual for him. Normally, his thoughts were slow and steady and easy to control. He’d always been a thinker, a philosophical bear, but this was different. Now he had decisions to make. He kissed his mate, shook his best wolf friend’s hand, and smiled at his mate’s sister, then he turned to Wade, knowing exactly what he was going to say. “I want a special task force created to address bear-wolf relations. We all need to work together if we are going to have any chance of beating Khain.” Wade nodded, his gaze solemn. Bruin gazed at his mate. “But first, we have renquas to return. If you’re game.” Her eyes lit up and he smiled at her, the decisions coming easy now. He faced Wade and Mac, grinning at Mac’s proud-papa look. “I’ll put Conri in charge in the interim. Willow and I leave tomorrow.” Wade stood and put out his hand. “Whatever you need from me, Chief, it’s yours.” Bruin stood also, tucking his mate into his side, shaking Wade’s hand. There was much work to be done, but that was when a bear was happiest: when he had a sweet and loving female, a strong clan, and a simple life to work hard for.

Bear's Redemption Wow what a book!

Bruin deserved this story and what a story this is. The love story alone is worth it but the back story is so amazingly detailed you can't put this down. Lisa Ladew knows exactly what her readers want and she delivered beautifully. Bruin and Willow are the perfect couple. Each of them has pain in their past and as they begin and build their relationship they find the other half of themselves they were missing. 2 halves become whole and between them will save and secure all shiften. Their story builds and you know that she truly is Bruin's one true mate. I love Bruin and was so glad to see his story written. He is one gentle, protective bear who never thought he amounted to much and Willow is perfect for him. As this story progresses I found myself in awe of Ladew's ability to keep the script clear and concise to where I always knew where I was in the storyline. Character development and storyline are exactly what I have grown to expect Georgia amazing author. I can see these characters in my mind as I read and I am blown away by the beauty that is written between the covers of this book. This one isn't just be my favorite of the six but I have felt that connection with every book I read. This series should not be missed. This one should be read for just the innocence of Bruin and Willow and they have the best HEA ending. You'll love it just because Bruin purrs. Great job so much more than 5 stars.

Read this one in one sitting. You don't have to have read the previous 5 books, but I would recommend doing so. I've been waiting for this one, mainly because Bruin is my ideal man. He ticks every single one of my boxes. Big, protective, teddy bear, snuggler, sweet, kind, gentle. I could go on and on and on :) Nice guys are so severely underrated. I have no idea why women go for the bad boys, gimme a good guy any day

Lots of backstory filler that may confuse those who haven't read the whole series - and if you haven't, why not?

I particularly love the cover for this book. This man IS Bruin. I'm even glad they kept his shirt on :) Makes him that more interesting for me :)

I found our heroine slightly too sweet for me. I know, I know, the world is full or kick arse heroines these days so it's feels slightly odd to find an old fashioned, feminine one in this book, but she feels real and concrete. Personally I think this is one character that could have been written as a plus sized girl. In my head I see Bruin, who is a massive bear, and Willow, who is a tiny thing and all I can say is 'ouch'. They work well together, and with other members of the 'gang', personalities meshing well. I can see some of the bears becoming more active in the series, and all I can do about that is drool :).

I will be waiting for the next installment, drool-bib in hand :)

Bruin and Willow's turn

There is a lot going on in this story and I loved it. Ella and Trevor's babies are about to be born, and Heather and Graeme's wormling is on its way. Shay is also due soon but no one knows who the father is. It could be Grey's or Khains so that will be a surprise.

Back to Bruin and Willow. They met at the Honey Depot Restaurant that Willow owns when Bruin, Mac and Rogue went there for lunch. Willow and her mother also own a bee keeping business on the side. Bruin likes to watch Willow and Lucinda take care of the bees from his house with his telescope. He loves his honey.

Later on Wade told Bruin that he thought that Bruin was the next to meet his OTM. However, Bruin didn't believe him because that would not happen until the Bearen of Great Insight was found, And because the bearen do not have their renqua. Someone is also trying to kill Bruin, and it may be his father and his followers.

However, Willow is his OTM and she gave him his renqua back after she touched him. She also gave all the other bearen their renqua's back. His father went mad and said that he was the bear of great insight or BOGI. And then he invited Khain there and a fight ensued. Who knew that the BOGI was going to be Bruin.

This story had a lot going on with different people but I loved it. I can't wait for the next book.

I am a little bit obsessed with the One True Mate series. Each and every book is just amazing! Each book will have you on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what happens to these wonderful characters and will always see you laughing out loud at their antics and brothership and sighing with the way these men love with all their hearts and a little bit sad for all the trying times they have all had to go through. Bru has always been a favourite of mine and have been waiting with baited breath to see what his story would be. He has always been a bit of a loner, a shy but caring character and definitely one guy every woman dreams of. We finally find out he is more than he ever thought and is truly worthy of love and his OTM. The relationship between the two melts your heart and you are happy with tears to see what develops. I can not say enough good things about Lisa and her writing and the way she makes you believe each and everyone of her characters are the real deal and not fiction. I am totally holding my breath for the next book and can not wait to see who it will be. So grab the book, a wine and settle in to read an amazing story that you will not put down until you have to.

And as sweet as honey on fresh berries!
Omg I decided I want a Bruin. I originally wanted my own Graeme but, after this book, I need a Bruin. This was such a almost sickenly sweet story. Such a drastic change from Mac and Rouge. But it was puurrrrfect (sorry). I just love the character of Willow and her desires to not wait for destiny to tell her what to do and she just wants to take life. I wish I had that kind of spunk. And her fashion ideas are the boho I love. And Bruin with his gentle giant ways, basically a giant teddy bear lol) or Anatolian Shepherd (sorry again I'm a dog person). The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is, I wish we had more interaction with Willow's mother. She was so adamant that Willow was going to save herself for an Angel and blahblahblah, and she tracked her phone since she turned 25 yet Willow hooked up with Bruin on a multiday adventure and mom never questioned it once. Not even when a house blew up a few miles away? I expected mom to at least drill and question Bruin about his angel status (or lack there of) and was kinda let down that mom was just all thumbs up at the mating ceremony. Tho I did like Mac and Rouge doubling with Bruin and Willow. The Bearmance continues!

Fans of the One True Mate series will go over the moon for Bruin's story, One True Mate 6: Bear's Redemption. Shy and reclusive, Bruin is one of the bearen - bear shifters - but not really. Between his strange random prophetic incidents, and the unjust accusations and prejudice leveled against him by his fellow bearen, he's an outcast with only one true friend, wolf-shifter Mac. Until he stops into the Honey Depot restaurant and meets its owner, Willow. Willow is half-angel, one of the True Mates, but her mother's tales of her angel father have her convinced that Bruin can't be hers. His misunderstanding of his own prophecy make Bruin think Willow can't be his. But he is, and she is, though they need a whole book's worth of searching for clues, fighting the demon Khain, and sorting friend from foe before evidence demonstrates what their hearts already knew. Of all the characters in this ongoing series, Bruin is the one who melts my heart, and my Kindle - strong, sweet, and quietly endearing, he deserves this fabulous turn in the spotlight of Lisa Ladew's epic good-vs-evil paranormal romance series.

One true mate book 6

Wow this one was waited for with massively high expectations. I am so so so happy to state that it did NOT disappoint!!

Holy honey bees willow and bru a match made in heaven! He's a gentle giant of a bear shifter, with a beautiful soul and childlike charm...she's been in hiding for 25 years...kept safe from harm that has been foretold.
Aptly titled this is Bru's story of redemption with a lot of love, feels and laughter along the way.
I adored Bru in book 5...I think I adore him more now...ITS NOT BRO CODE ITS BEAR CODE!!! ❤️❤️❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

This series is evolving with every book that we get, the plot is thickening ( IN A GREAT WAY) it's intricate and well thought out and fantastically written.
I cannot wait to see how the series continues....

If you have picked up this book and not read any of the previous books...STOP!!! You will NEED and WANT to read the whole series.. from the start... otherwise you will be missing out on some bloody great stories!!!

start at the beginning. 🙌🏻❤️

A New look at shifters and their mates

This series looks at shifters in a whole new and interesting way. Finding their One True Mates is the most important event in their lives. Along with destroying the demon that is trying to destroy all the "shiften" as as all humanity. The wolves are the police, the bears are the firefighters, and the cats are the watchers.
Each book is a stand alone story of an individual shiften and his mate. The first five were about the wolves and lay the background of the shorten society. The fifth introduces a beaten as a friend of the wolven. This sixth book was about this bearen and his One True Mates and how the two groups interact. The books are well written, the characters well rounded and interesting.

I really enjoyed reading this series and I believe anyone who likes to read about shifters will enjoy this series as well. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series whenever it is released. I'm the meantime I plan to read some of the other books by Lisa Laces to see if they are as good as this series.

The BOGI

Bruin doesn't have any family except for the wolves. He's been alienated from his family and the rest of the bearen. They blame Bruin for the bearen's shameful secret. Their shame will not be lifted until a special bearen finds his true mate.
Willow has been sheltered her whole life. Her mom has kept on a tight leash because she's convinced an angel will come for Willow after her 25th birthday.
Willow and Bruin are attracted to each other, but Bruin is convinced the love won't last. He knows Willow is a true mate, but he doesn't believe she's his. All the bearen have convinced Bruin he's worthless and cannot be loved. All that negativity has convinced him that he isn't the special bearen who will have the honor of mating Willow. Can the wolfen and Willow convince him otherwise?
Bruin has had it really hard, but he never let the hate change his good heart. I fell for him even more. Also the wolfen, they accepted him with open arms. Their good friends and family.

Bru, Bru is the best

This is Lisa's 6 book in her paranormal romance series, if you're a newbie to this genre, you so NEED to get started with Lisa's books.

Lisa, this is by far your best yet and I'd give it more stars if I could.

Loved how both Bruin and Willow were innocents and how you handled their love for one another. Damn girl, if only I could find a guy to purr for me like that ❣️

And the friendship between Mac and Rogue with Bruin, just makes me smile warm fuzzies.

Rogue calling him Bru, Bru the Pooh!

Mac saying Bruin was a big fuzzy fu*k*r🤣

Favourite quote from book:

"Love smacked him in the face, leaving him no free will, no conscious choice. Her dark, soulful, exotic eyes met his and he was instantly lost. He'd been waiting his whole life to meet this woman and now he loved her, would eat nails for her, would fight dragons for her, or demons, whichever was bigger."

One True Mate 6

These two main characters are very different than the last two which sets up a nice contrast. They're all best friends which makes for fun times. Mac and Rogue are still over the top, weird, and funny, as are the MMC and Mac.

Of all the MFCs’ talents, I like this one the best. She can see and manipulate thought forms,

“A thought-form, to her, was something full of emotion for a person, animal, inanimate object, or place, that had happened at that very spot sometime in the past, something that certain energy-sensitive people could see or feel as if it were happening in front of them.”

I like how wide open the MMC is to her. He has a simplicity and forthrightness to him that is reminiscent of Beckett.

I like the contrast between the wolves and the bears - their temperaments, their culture. The births are interesting. We're just given hints about what all that means. Still lots of storylines open for the rest of the series.

Wow!

This story had the usual host of great characters!
All of this series has been entertaining,.....but... The ending and a few scenes in this book felt really rushed, with very little reflection on what the two main characters were experiencing. Romantic responses, action scenes and their descriptions got rather repetitive and sort of "meh". The author gives the explanation that she was moving and packing and writing another series...yadayada...life happens...make time....you're only as old as you think you are...
I enjoy your work...I really was looking forward to this book and the bears getting their break.. I sincerely hope life gives you a break it sounds like you need. Good luck!
