Dragon's Curvy Romance #1

Dragon's Curvy Dilemma

Rate this book

Dragons need privacy.

Billionaire dragon, Asher Princeton is a single dad and secret dragon-shifter. He just wants to get away from it all to spend time with his young son over the summer. Its time he showed the boy how to deal with being a dragonling.

Daryl Livingston is squatting in his guest house. The young woman makes his dragon come alive. The last thing he expected was to find his true mate living in his guest house. Only problem… it’s going to take everything in Asher’s power to convince her of that.

Will a new love teach an old dragon exciting tricks?

Asher Princeton…

• She’s a brilliant, know-it-all, trespasser squatting in my summer Lair’s guest house

• I’m supposed to turn her into the police but this dragon’s got secrets, dark ones

• Normally I’d toss out an intruder without a backward glance or question, but she’s different

• The dragon in me and my five-year-old son have other plans

• Funny thing…She thinks I’m letting her off scot-free

• Her arrogant innocence challenges me in the best way

• I might be a single dad focused on raising my son, but she’s ignited a fire long doused

• It’s in her eyes and those curves that bewitch, seduce, and tempt my resolve like no other

• Instead of releasing her, I’m going to make her moan with pleasure

• That’s it—she’s mine

• Only problem—her name. She’s the one woman I need to stay far away from

• Our relationship is damned from the beginning

• She can never find out what happened to her father

• Daryl is off limits

Daryl Livingston…

• He’s gorgeous and infuriating

• But his kid… makes my heart melt

• It was stupid getting caught living in his guest house like this, but I’ll appeal to his sense of duty

• I’m willing to do a lot of things to be able to stay—I have no place to go

• But, if he thinks I’m going to be his maid or nanny, he’s got another thing coming. I’ll take jail over that

• Weird thing… he makes me feel things I’ve never felt before

• It’s in those eyes of his, like pools from the depth of his soul they enchant and entice me to want to touch him

• That’s it—I can’t stay

• Instead of behaving like a grateful house guest, all I want is to offer up my virginity to him like some damned lovesick school girl

• Only problem—I’m on a mission to regain the respect my father deserved and find out what happened to him

• I can’t get sidetracked. Not when I’m so close, no matter how much Asher makes me pant

Solid

I’ve been burned before. There are a lot of bad shifter novels for some reason or another. Maybe the storyline is poorly thought out and executed. Or maybe miraculously there’s not one Black person or any person if color to be found as shifters or in the entire universe. It’s like one doesn’t want or can’t imagine that Black people or people of color to exist in their fictional world. Peculiar huh?

This book had none of those problems. The chemistry was great. The story was well thought out. I enjoyed every bit. I read it in a single sitting. I’m going to move on to the other books in the series. I look forward to it.

This book kept me flipping pages faster than a fan at church. I love Daryl Livingston Jr. although her name kept me giggling at inappropriate times. Daryl is super smart and sassy. Asher is hot as fire and had me drooling a bit. I really enjoyed this story.

This was an awesome story... a women trying to prove herself in honor of her father but down on her luck. He was a single father trying to spend more time with his child until he finds someone in his pool house who isn't suppose to be there. A great start to a great new series.

A different flavor of cotton candy

I like to call insta-lust pnrs cotton candy for the brain. I love them, I always have. This one was definitely cotton candy of a different flavor than my norm. I loved Daryl and I read this book based solely on the female MCs name being Daryl Livingston, Junior*. I’m not joking, I read it because of that one little thing and it was so worth it. It definitely lived up to my expectations. Why is it a different flavor? Well, you can just tell from the writing style the author comes from or has great insight into a subset of American culture that I don’t often see in books, not that it isn’t there, just that there isn’t a lot of PNRs with it. Do I suggest this book? Strongly! It’s a great cotton-candy PNR!

*I discovered this book on a search for single dad PNRs.

It Just Ended

Honestly, I almost didn't make it past the 10% mark. I need to have a perfect balance of narrative and dialogue.....the first part was, mostly, monologue. So, I skipped ahead to Asher. He opened with conversation. There were some questions that finally got answered. Then it ended. Seriously!!!!!! Not every story needs an epilogue but...... the build up was the main characters anticipating the attraction; hoping it's not one-sided. Then it just ended. I might give her another shot but this book left me wanting more.

Wow

My first dragon shifter! But not my last. The main characters were extremely well written and so likable. Ash had a secret that was potentially a game changer. It was sooooooo refreshing to see his mate listen to his side and NOT derail their relationship over something that happened before they met. And please find me a cuter kid character than Brock...not possible....

Too cute and romantic

I love this author she's a really good storyteller. She tells the kind of stories that put a sappy grin on your face. There's nothing like a really good and sweet happy ending.

A Dragon's Love

After illegally living in someone's house without their knowledge is bad enough,to find out not only is the owner a dragon, but your life mate is pretty cool. I like this book.

Great to read a story that brings in a child's perspective about relationships. We are so concerned with details of a relationship we miss the most important things to build on.

Great read!

This was a page turner and beautiful love story. I’m glad there was established trust and respect among the characters. It made for a refreshing, low drama novel. Highly recommended read.

A good read. But, the heroine’s acceptance of the hero’s dragon form and declaration of love was too quick for me. And her desire to immediately mate and potentially have his baby without any deliberation was confounding. That kind of ruined the story for me.

Dilemma was resolved!

A nice and sweet paranormal tale! The star in this story was Brock! Cuteness overload! Asher and Daryl were oil and water, but they swirl together to make tasteful mix!

Cute story.

Decent quick read. The characters were like able and interesting. I like that the woman was in STEM and an innovator. Some of the dialogue was unrealistic; it bordered on monologue-ish. There wasn’t any real conflict, which some readers may like and others will not.

The story line would have been good, but the pages and pages of internal monologues were so ridiculously excessive. I read about 65 % of the book.
