Robin’s debut novel is reminiscent of Fried Green Tomatoes meets At Home in Mitford. Pleasant Quarry is a fictional town in the Piedmont of rural North Carolina. This is the first book in The St. John’s Series and introduces the town and its people.

Pearl is a middle age woman facing her past while also embracing her future. Beauregard is the town’s barber who offers a bit of laughter. The story is about a group of people searching for home and beginning to see that it’s right in front of them.
