Daniel Phillips has spent years tortured by guilt over the death of his brother, Samuel. He's worked hard to move past it with the help of his friends and new girlfriend, Carly. He's been shanghaied into being a partner in Addie's new psychic PI firm, and now he's sharing an apartment with Wade.
However, when a familiar face from his past shows up and a new case from the Captain brings up questions, it's a chilling reminder of who Danny used to be. A question to Addie reveals their new case is more complex than they realized, and Danny finds the past isn't done with him yet.
As loyalties are tested, some of the gang discover their 'abilities' are evolving and that the cases of the past are more relevant than they could ever have imagined.

Thought it was different getting everything from Danny's pov it was still a fantastic book. I liked the extra layer of mystery not knowing what Addie was exactly thinking all the time and trying to tie together the pieces. There were a few moments where I wasn't sure who's pov it was and it had switched to someone else's unexpectedly but it still aided the story.
There is one spicy 🌶️ scene, very brief and some tension that builds between Carly and Danny.

Oh well

I don't know what happened here. I was so disappointed with the way this was written. We had a great thing going with the other books and then this happened. I was confused sometimes because the POVs were off. I didn't know what really was going on. I wouldn't have minded a novella as a backstory of Danny but the way this was written was off for me. I have a feeling the next one will be the same way but with Wade. I love the characters so I will keep up but I was disappointed with this.

Loved it ❤️

Danny’s story was so sad from the first book on. Just when he had a chance with Carly things went bad. In this book we get to see how he comes back from all of that to win his girl. There is also a new evil out there targeting the psychics and their friends, we don’t find out all the details yet but I think we will in Wade’s book. Wade and Addie’s gifts keep growing and linking it is getting so exciting to read. I definitely recommend this book and most definitely this series.

Danny & Carly

I like that Danny got his own book. Danny's story deserved to be told. There were some parts that got confusing on the POV, but not enough to effect the story.
It had some of Danny's backstory, it could've had a little more especially before all the chaos ensued.
As tragic as Danny's story is, I was glad he got his own ray of sunshine(Carly) to continuously pull him from the darkness.
Overall another great part of the series.

A book I didn’t want to put down

I’m obsessed with this series and I will never get enough of Addie and Jake but I loved this one with Danny and Carly in the forefront. There are so many twists and turns along with threads tied into one big knot but who is pulling the strings? I can’t wait for the Wade’s story and get some answers!

Love it

I've read all four books in the last 2 weeks and I really hope I don't have to wait for the 5th too long because I'm desperate to know what happens. These books have everything. Drama, romance, action, suspense and a supernatural element that feels very realistic. I've fallen in love with all the characters and I'm rooting for their happy ending.

This book was in Danny's point of view, and we got to see how he thought about things, and a lot of his past as well. This one was okay, it wasn't my favorite, but I still enjoyed the story line. I do miss Addie's pov though. I think she made the series better, but it was interesting learning about Danny.

This book is amazing and not what I expected from with how the other books went but I was really happy with finding out more about each of the characters I would definitely recommend this book but read others before this one .

Cliffhanger much?

I don't like the way it ended. Seemed too abrupt. I love that we finally heard from Danny and Carly! The hints about Wade have me so ready for his book!

Let down completely by it being written in 3rd person, didn’t get past page 3, guess I’ll leave the gang at the end of book 3, disappointed as the first 3 books in this series are amazing

This one from the series wasn’t the best one. I didn’t like the back and forth with the timelines. It was confusing sometimes
