Savannah Brooks spends her days as a reporting analyst, which is extremely difficult when her imaginary friends are constantly pestering her to come out and play. One of these days, she plans to leave the world of numbers and spreadsheets behind in order to write full-time but for now, late evenings and weekends with the voices in her head will have to do. Even then, her attempts to play in her fictional worlds are often thwarted by her husband, son, or daughter dragging her back to reality.

Aside from reading and writing, Savannah loves video games, football, superhero movies, dragons, coffee, dark chocolate, and all things Disney. She dreams of having a castle on the water, be it ocean cliffs or a mountain lake, and traveling to historic places around the world.

Savannah currently lives in Arizona with her very supportive husband, two children, and ghost dog (the family beagle who passed away a couple years ago, but whose spirit is kept very much alive by her son and daughter).

📗3.5 stars rounded up. Read on 11th Sept, 2025.

i preface this by saying this is a ME issue. My venting is entirely of my own reaction to the story. Tropes & tags at the end.

Story- 3.5⭐, Characters- 3.8⭐, Sex- 3.8⭐, Epilogue- 1 (for me)⭐

Everything was right and cozy till at the epilogue where i found out they're having a baby girl. Again. Another story set in binary omega verse that must end with the couple having a girl and not a boy. i'm happy for them but it's like, for those of us who have sons or want to have one, just can't find ourselves represented at all.

●We’re put smack dab in the middle of the story where Alex goes to have somno sex with Ty and we find out it's driven by jealousy. So apparently it was Alex who told Ty that they should stop bcuz their parents might find out thereby hurting him. He thought Alex was just fucking around but turns out the guy is serious about him.

●So the angst come from them saying and thinking that they can't have kids. But we all know what's going to happen. :D Here's some of what they say about this and i need you to see this cuz it's so real. There are people i know who's had this conversation before. Not shifter related but just wanting a child but not being able to..

My hand slips down to his stomach and I allow myself to imagine what it might be like if he had a little life growing inside him. To rub his belly. To feel the baby move and kick.
I hold in my sigh. Why do some dreams have to be impossible?
———
“No, it’s fine,” I say, waving it off. “We’re not… we can’t…” I shake my head, trying to find the right words. I sigh. “We’re human.”
Some of the excitement fizzles out of me the moment I say it. It’s almost disappointing to admit it, not that being human is bad, it’s just that being a shifter would open the possibility of us mating and having children together.
———

●There are 4 sex scenes and within the 1st 5 pages. 1st one was totally narrated over so mute people. But the rest were well done, they get more responsive as the story progressed.

♦Despite their “good” intentions, i dunno about the parents part, bcuz there was no consent given to what they did to the boys. But it all worked out ig? So.. Happy ending yay? Yeah, no.

i don't think any book exists out there (not that i've read off at least!) that has couples ending with sons unless some crazy shit happens and suddenly all women don't exist. Whatta whut? 💀💀💀 UGHHH. i don't like those omegaverses.

These binary ones seem most realistic. But there's probably a rule within the writing community that one must never give the MCs a son in this world. i'm so hurt, it's discouraging, i dunno what to do, or read.

📗Tropes & tags: •Stepbros, •somno, •make him coffee, •care taking, •cuddling, •nuzzling, •strict t/b, •mpreg, •1st person single pov, •some angst.

CW: no consent body modification (not by MCs)

LOL just don't take this book seriously, or expect realisticness, and you'll be fine! It's all fast-paced, not only with things that happen but the end does a quick timeline jump. But all in one little span you have: angst over being together, parents giving them drugs to change their body composition without telling them, them coming out as being a couple to their parents (who already know), followed by being unaware they mated and got pregnant (good thing they wanted to be pregnant) (and by "they" I mean Tyler). and then of course the fast taking-you-through-to-the-birth. Fast paced in many ways, they ain't angry their parents drugged them without consent, and everything just happens boom-boom-boom (reunion, coming out, pregnancy). So.....if you go in prepared for the whirlwind and don't take it to seriously, woohoo!

This is a short read that takes humans fantasies further than was hoped. Full of hotness and love, Tyler and Alex takes us on a journey into a love that as stepbrother's should be forbidden. Fear of retribution and denial by their family, Alex is afraid to tell his parents that he is in love with his stepbrother, An alpha by nature, he wishes for bonding and children as only shifters can do. Being human, he grieves for what he can't give the love of his life, Tyler. Tyler, an omega by nature, wishes only that they didn't have to hide their love because of Alex's fears. He dreams of being pregnant, but he is human, not a shifter. A really pleasurable read and I know that others will love it too.

This was a sweet short romance with a twist. Ty and Alex are very lucky and have amazing parents. Step brothers who make each other’s dreams come true thanks to their parents.
