A humble grape picker? Well, that’s what Oliver Wentworth lead me to believe. I didn’t care what his job was after the one magical night we spent together. All I could think of was his wit, his charm, and his amazingly delicious body. I couldn’t get enough of him, and for a few brief months my life was like a fairytale romance involving fine wine, cozy evenings in Oliver’s cabin, and the best sex of my entire life.
But then I peed on a stick and everything changed. I could never have prepared myself for what happened next. My carefree grape picker was not the man I thought he was, and all of my dreams were beginning to look like nightmares.
Oliver says he loves me... but a relationship built on lies, an unexpected baby, and a family from hell? How could this possibly work?
Billionaire’s Baby is a full-length, smoking hot, standalone novel with a happy ever after ending and a bad boy you won’t be able to forget!
It all begins as a fairy tale that rapidly spins out of control. Ella Finch has crafted a romance that works it's way under the skin and leaves a mark on the soul. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book.
This is a very sweet an engaging love story but one that doesn’t go smoothly.
Jessica is training hard to be a pre school teacher when she gets a phone call that changes her life more than even she expected. The unexpected death of her father has her suddenly running a failing real estate business but knowing how much her father loved and worked hard at building up the business she’s determined to make a go of it. She needs this one deal and all will be back on an even keel. The vineyard is where her life changes yet again in the shape of a picker Oliver. But Oliver has a secret.
Oliver is enjoying life he can have a woman when he wants one and more money in the bank than he knows what to do with. Until he meets Jessica, he lets her think he’s just a humble grape picker instead of the owner of the vineyard. He knows she is special and is willing to do anything to keep her in his life but soon realises with all the lies that he has told that she may decide she can’t trust him and end it. Throw in a major shock and her crazy ex boyfriend and disapproving parents and you have a recipe for a great book.
Although I enjoyed this book a lot I have to say the sex scenes felt a little stilted and I wanted the characters to fight more with and for each other. An easy read with fab characters even the annoying ones you come to love.
Ms. Finch has written a tender romance that will capture your heart and make the reader feel good inside and out. The characters are well defined with fun exciting personalities.
Jessica is about to get her dream job and become a school teacher when she gets a call from her mom that her dad has died of a heart attack. Jessica moves home to help her mother and ends up taking over her father’s real estate company, which is in financial trouble. Trouble that she could all but obliterate if she could convince a stubborn vineyard owner to sell to one of her clients. However little does she know, he has no intentions of selling. When Jessica arrives at the vineyard to attempt the owner to change his mind, she meets a worker named Oliver. They are instantly attracted to one another and enjoy a very romantic night together.
From here the story takes off; you see, Oliver has not been exactly truthful with Jessica and as time goes by he gets himself in deeper and deeper with no clue how to come clean without losing her. As for Jessica she has a few secrets as well, including a rock star for an ex that wants her back. Let the fun times begin.
2 Thumbs Up for this fun, flirty and very romantic story that I highly recommend 1-click. It’s a perfect book for curling up with on a cold winter's night and simply enjoy!
How can your life change so quickly? Jessica had plans but now she finds herself in charge of her father's real estate business and she has to please a client by getting him a vineyard. How hard can it be? Everything changes when she meets Oliver but she has no idea who he really is and he doesn't correct her when she looks for the owner. They start a wild fling but Oliver still can't be honest with her so how can they ever have a relationship with so many lies. Jessica's ex is trying to get back into her life but she really loves Oliver and she wants nothing to do with him but everything is about to change for everyone. She is pregnant and she hopes that the baby is Oliver's but she is still too scared to tell him and when he finds out, he is very hurt but he knows that if he doesn't tell her the truth they have no hope then. Can he be honest with her and lose her for good or carry on lying? Now that the truth is out things are worse how can she trust anyone as they all seem to lie to her? What will happen when the baby comes who will be the father and can she accept the truth about who it will be? Can Oliver give up everything for Jessica even if it means having nothing? Will everything work out in the end and will everyone be happy? A good solid read. I was lucky enough to get a copy form the author Ella. Congrats on another great story.
This is the first book that I have read by Ella Finch, the author. Once I got used to her style of writing, for example having the sound effects written into the story line, I found that I enjoyed Oliver and Jessica's story. We meet Jessica who is studying to be a teacher when she gets news about her father's death which brings her back home to run his Real Estate business. Oliver is a wealthy vineyard owner who meets Jessica when she arrives at his vineyard with an offer from a buyer, Jessica doesn't know that Oliver is the owner as he presents himself as a worker at the vineyard. There is an attraction between the two of them, they share a very special night in Oliver's shack overlooking a beautiful part of the vineyard. There are unexpected hurtles they will need to deal with...the return of her ex boyfriend Jingo, Oliver's parents, her mother and an unexpected surprise for Jessica. What will she do when she finds out Oliver isn't who he really says he is? Well you will need to read the book to find out what happens...will there be a happy ending for all...I want to thank Ella Finch for gifting me with a copy of this book.
This book was really easy to read, so relaxing and involving! The characters were really cute and funny and I found myself wanting to really meet them.
Jessica was such a nice girl, changing her life so much after the loss her family faced, but even being new to everything and even not being what she wanted to do at first, she showed determination and courage!
Oliver was so sweet and romantic, he was willing to do whatever it took to keep Jessica and build their love...even if that meant lying (a lot) to her. And as time went by, he was getting more and more in trouble with everything, and even more in love with her.
I still have some issues about editing, and I wanted to see both of them fighting more for each other and specially for themselves against their families and what they thought was wrong. They sometimes accepted things too easily.
But it was easy and enjoyable to read. Even the characters you might think would be a pain and just cause problem, ended up being really good people you could keep around.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book. Oh Wow , this has to be the most, romantic, sexy, funny, crazy story I have ever read. Absolutely brilliant. At times it was serious, at times romantic and a lot of the time it made me laugh so much in a good way. After hearing of her fathers death, Jessica Payne realises she has to put her own dreams of becoming a teacher on hold. Time to sort out her dad’s Real Estate Business. Never dreaming at how her life will now change. At a business meeting in a Vineyard, Jessica meets Oliver, grape picker and they are both absolutely smitten and now the fun begins. A story of two people from different lifestyles, getting to know one another but with crazy situations due to secrets, life isn’t easy. Add to the mix an unexpected pregnancy well it’s like a rollercoaster ride. Interesting characters such as Jingo, Ava, Alfonso ...all add to a madcap story but guess what, it works!!!!! Life will never be dull , ever in the new world of Oliver and Jessica.
Jessica just lost her dad and she has to take over his real estate company. Her father has for the last couple of years been trying to by a a vineyard but the owner won't sell now it is her job to make it happen. At the vineyard she meets a handsome worker Oliver. The two of them are instantly attracted to each other and they share a great night of passion. But Oliver has a big secret one that can tear them apart. This book was so amazing. It was so sweet and romantic. I really enjoyed it and read it with a smile on my face
A well written read by Ella Finch. You will get drama, family values, loyalty, a bit of chaos and some romance. Jessica's dad has passed away and left her his real estate business. Oliver isn't who Jessica thinks he is. She thinks he is a picker at a vineyard a client of hers is wanting to buy when he is actually the owner and billionaire. What will happen when she finds out the truth? Wait till she finds out she's pregnant from having steamy sex with Oliver. Can they get past the speed bumps in order to find their happily ever after? Pick the book up today to find out.
I really enjoyed this book. Good storyline that is well written and flows smoothly. Oliver and Jessica meet when Jessica takes over her father's real estate business after his death. She arrives at Oliver's vineyard to make an offer from a buyer but Oliver introduces himself as a worker. Their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly. Can they overcome Oliver's deception and other hurdles thrown their way? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Ella Finch is a new to me author who was kind enough to give me an ARC of this story in return for my honest review. This was truly a fun, funny read that kept me on my toes. It reminded me of the "Bridget Jones" movies (which I love) so if you have a penchant for unexpected surprises, boyfriends (both new and ex), and exasperating parents you will definitely enjoy this!
This is a great book. Jessica and Oliver have instant chemistry. Jessica doesn’t know exactly to Oliver is. She thinks he is a picker. She ends up falling for him. I don’t want to say much more without giving anything away. I volunteered to review a copy of this book.
I loved this fun, sexy and sweet story. I really enjoyed reading about the characters in this book. I recommend reading this book. I received an advance readers copy of this book.
Oliver and Jessica made a great couple. They had a great relationship, when they got past all the lies. I think Jessica was far to forgiving of Oliver's father. Excellent story with ups and downs, characters with insane chemistry and a guaranteed happy ending. I volunteered for a arc of this book
This is a sweet love story but one that doesn’t run smoothly you get secrets, exes, chemistry, humour, career changes, grief all making this a great read. Jessica is studying to be a pre school teacher but the unexpected death of her father has her returning home and thrown in to taking over his real estate business. She needs the one deal that her father had been working on to actually save the business which is the vineyard is where she meets one of the pickers (or so she thinks) Oliver. Oliver is enjoying his life, women when he wants one and money in the bank. When he meets Jessica he lets her think he’s just a grape picker when in fact he actually owns it. He instantly feels as though he has known her forever but with all the lies she may decide she can’t trust him.......... There is so much more to the story you will certainly enjoy it.
*ARC given for honest review* This book is a really quick read. Ella Finch is also a new author to me so I decided to give it a try. However, I was a little disappointed with this book. It didn't flow as it should and it doesn't seem like it was edited at all. In the beginning it seemed as though the book was set in the US with US English (New York was mentioned quite a few times). However, as I continued reading, the book slowly started to switch to U.K. English. Not only that but Janet's name switched to Margaret by the end of the book. It felt a little too choppy and the story progressed really fast. The development of the characters also wasn't there which made me very disconnected from them. I really wanted to like this story, but unfortunately it fell flat.
Just the facts. You can't sell real estate without a license! Real estate agents can't evaluate property unless they are a licensed appraiser. So that throws our the basics of this story!!!! Minimal research by the author wasn't done. No research on anything as far as I could tell. As for the story, well that is a problem . This is a basic story, no details, emotions, color that makes it come alive. It's missing what is needed for you to be drawn in and care about these characters and their lives. Good storytelling is key to overlooking the things that don't make any sense to me. Plus... All the British terminology in a book that takes place in the U.S. drove me crazy!!!!I'm sorry, this just isn't for me.
I really don't know how to rate or review this book. It is a great story and I enjoyed it but it seemed like the writer decided to condense it to the point where it jumped around. There were opportunities to beef the story up and make it longer and flow better.
But I do have to say the overall story was very entertaining and I enjoyed it. The story of Oliver and Jessica is interesting. There are some absolutely sweet moments of love and romance. I really did like this story but sometimes felt like the story was choppy but if you can move past that it has a great theme and story. I feel like the writer did some research to create a plausible story.
I am really enjoying the writing of Ella Finch. She gives us dual points of view – which I love because I get to be inside their minds. Billionaire’s Baby has everything I enjoy in a book. It has a little chase, some drama and of course the anticipation of how our couple can make their relationship work. We have additional speed bumps that make Jessica and Oliver fight for each other.
I am becoming a fast fan of Ella Finch’s writing and storytelling. Pick up Billionaire’s Baby and get lost in the world of Jessica and Oliver.
I received a complimentary of this boo and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
The copy I received needs some serious editing. It was hard to figure out who was speaking half the time. The manager of the vineyard had a name change over halfway into the book. The two main protagonists were hard to identify with. At times they were characters that you wanted to get to know. Then there were times when they seemed to be childish, spoiled people. Why the three stars? Because with some work, it could be a great story.
I received this book to review and what follows is my opinion. Ella Finch is a “new to me” author so I had no idea what to expect. The plot of Billionaire's Baby was predictable and would have been a whole lot more fun if I could have been more invested in the characters. I felt like Oliver was a spoiled brat and Jessica was a clueless ditz. The writing was a bit choppy and I think that had the author had a good editor this review would have been quite different.
This is the first book of Ella's that I have read. I enjoyed reading this book about Oliver and Jessica. It is a book that you really want to continue reading until you have reached the end. If you love reading about billionaires then this book is for you. I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review.
This was my first book of this author. I must say I didn’t know what to expect. But it was a good book, the characters where well developed. Jessica and Oliver were entertaining. Their relationship stared off with a lie but now that a baby is involved, things change. Now Jessica finds out the truth and things get difficult. What to do. I will be definitely reading more from this author. It was a good read, had is moments when it felt a bit rush. But overall it kept me entertained. 4 Stars
