It’s been said for many years, “The only thing in life one can control is their attitude.” This authentic statement holds true no matter what your lifestyle or who you are. In everyday life deciding how to react when faced with individual daily hiccups and challenges is a choice. While most strive to keep their attitude (and mouth) in check, it’s not always an easy feat—Stacy Stevens is no different. A loving mother of a college student, newlywed wife to Scott and full-time firefighter in the small community she grew up in, Stacy strives to find balance while holding on to her integrity. Just as she settles into the comforts of her changing life, WHAM! the first of many emotional punches to her gut begin. Grabbing on to God for strength, she struggles to keep the pieces together for her son, Jared, best friend Sarah and her own new husband. As summer begins so does the erratic behavior of a hidden past, a drug overdose reveals the preciousness of life and a potentially fatal accident that is destined to destroy innocent lives. As Stacy tries to keep both her personal life and professional life afloat, she becomes more aware of the fact that no matter what path you head out on in life, there will always be dirt, rocks, puddles and potholes. But, she knows no matter the circumstances she is never alone on the bumpy path; God is with her and always in her heart.
I'm pretty much a simple girl with a huge heart. I grew up in a small town and have remained in the same area since I was 6 years old. I am truly blessed to be with the man of my dreams (although it took 25 years to reunite, but that's another story!)
My family is the biggest and most precious part of my life. We are a small bunch, but what we lack in numbers we have in love :)
I love to write, but working fulltime in the medical field has not always allowed me the time I would like to follow my dream. But, I am the total optimist and big things are yet to come!
I would not say that I am a "people person" but I grew up with morals, ethics and standards that taught me to treat everyone the same: how I waould like to be treated. I thank God for evey day that He gives me and every part of it.
