This is a nice read by the fire. The conflicts and descriptions of adjusting to blindness are well thought ut and can serve as educational points to readers. It was a little tedious for me because I'm blind and I know the techniques described in the book. However, it was a nice story. The pack moves quickly. The interesting thing for me is that in the book there is a gray cat and I have a gray cat with a similar name. I've never had that happen in a book and I've read many.
